Always listened to smooth for many years. Turned it off today for last time. Same songs over and over again and more adverts than anyone can put up with.

When I 1st tuned into this radio station, I enjoyed it BUT why do they play the same same records everyday all be it at different times. I used to love sweet Caroline by Neil diamond, I'm now that fed up of hearing it, also Ed Shearan dancing in the dark. NOT EVERYDAY. I will be retuning radio to , I think it's called greatest hits radio who has Ken Bruce as one of their presenters.
I'm amazed Smooth Radio still has an audience. I've just noticed there's a box to tick for you to notify Smooth. I actually sent then a email, which to be fair they did reply re the repeats, but basically said they were not going to alter their format. Do they only pay a few royalties for songs on their station to be played and that's why everyday seems the same?

Always the best music? It is NEVER the best music, ever.

I have the misfortune of having a shop in a shopping centre that only plays Smooth FM...I swear to God that if I ever go on a murderous rampage it will because Billy Joel and Elton John have finally tipped me over the edge.

The same songs day in, day out, over and over and over and over again.

There's nothing smooth about any of it...it's dreary, mind numbing and depressing. How many times does a station need to play "In The Living Years "? Yes, it's a heart felt lament but it isn't entertaining. And it certainly isn't "the definition of an anthem" as they claimed yesterday.

There are millions of songs to choose from and...they pick the same short play list day after day, they just shuffle it about a bit.

I don't even blame the presenters, I assume they have as much say in the play list as I do.

Dreadful radio station. Truly dreadful.

To all the Djs at Smooth Radio and especially Kate Garraway - as great as the songs are you play the same songs every single day over and over again !!! Please earn your salaries by spending time preparing a varied repertoire of songs for your audiences. Show some respect for them. And you should all give a guarantee at the beginning of your show to not play the same song more than once, as one of your male colleagues already does. And when speaking to your audience between songs PLEASE don’t impart silly trivialities but rather interesting facts and general knowledge enriching our minds - not what you ate at lunch !!! No one wants to know that.

So many great songs but ffs, how many times can you play John Waite - Missing You, She's Like The Wind - Patrick Swayze, Man In Motion - John Parr etc?? There's millions of songs to choose from. What is this fecking playlist all about? Mainly positive though cos plenty of great songs but please sort this weird shit out.

Mind numbing with same songs played every day it seems. I turn off as quickly as I turn it on. No imagination or thinking past the time warp it appears to be in
How about some good old rock n roll or the likes of B52, Ava Cassidy, Tom Jones, Dusty Springfield etc, etc. Come on please.

Everyone to their own, but I found the playlist repetitively boring and interspersed with (thankfully only a few) adverts that are mind-numbing in their crassness.

darren park does not chat endlessly and he played brilliant songs tonight 7 till 8 pm one after the other , usually smooth fm has far too many adverts and endless chatting that nobody needs to listen to

I’m staying in a Premier Inn and unfortunately they put this station on whilst I’m trying to have breakfast. It’s just too much, their music is absolute garbage and it just wrecks breakfast. If they were to play decent music then things would be different….

It would be lovely to hear them play my all-time favourite track: Suppers Ready by Genesis…25 minutes of pure genius.

The best thing this radio station can do is close down.

Depressing at best. You can be in a good mood and this drags you down. The same cringe worthy tracks like Madonna Crazy for you, when she has made much better music and Cyndi Lauper Time after Time. Are these seriously supposed to be romantic? Imagine having some personal tragedy and having to listen to this, you'd be wanting to run in front of a bus. Maybe if there were more upbeat songs, beside motown and 70s disco then that would be a start. Adele's be easy on me is like Chinese water torture as is the repetition of Chicago's depressing songs.

Smooth and relax radio music were brilliant!! However I've heard numerous repetition though and I do recommend more different relaxing songs played.

Smooth soul channel is brilliant! Plays all the favs for my age group ( I’m 70)! Get from Global player!

They play way to many repetitive and annoying advertisements. All you hear all day long is “Aoi”…. I really enjoy their music but really cannot stand the “Aoi” any more

I listen to smooth radio in Portugal. The music selection is so much better and really is 'smooth' rather than just the same as many other UK radio stations. Use old songs not smooth.....

What's happened to it? I loved it, now it's the same songs daily. Also the amount of ads are ridiculous. Seems to be ads inbetween every song. Think I'll look for a different channel. Shame, it was my go to station. Just boring now.

Stopped listening to smooth after a few years I have become bored with smooth too many adverts too many charity requests and too many repeated songs.

I like the station but it's like being on a rollercoaster of 'round robin' songs which don't change from day-to-day, week-to-week or even month-to-month! To coin a phrase, will you PLEASE change the record(s)!

Wasn't intentional to write a "repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat" review, as outlined by the reviewer, 4 reviews ahead of mine !!!

Can't have listened to Smooth Radio since a previous, May review, it's taken about 22 Hr's to remember why - endless stream of low grade adverts, but seems I'm achieving Smooth Radios repeat output ! & I'm not being paid for it !
