Very Smooth Web Chat got me back into my Lifetime ISA after I locked myself out.

Always helpful with a chat on line. First class service

Head office were helpful when opening trust account. However, service went downhill after that. Phone staff are helpful and polite but have to rely on back office staff to resolve issues. Have received inaccurate and misleading correspondence and spent hours of my life trying to sort out an ongoing issue. Complaints process has not proved helpful either. Staff on phone are great but hugely let down by inefficient back office and process.

I want to change my email address only. There is no provision on Skipton account to complete this basic task & I finally gave up. I was told 'the system' had duplicated a number of devices on my account & I had to delete them. How? I emailed the contactus@skipton & have today received an email from a third party account asking for all my details for 'security'. There was a warning at the end of the email stating it could be a scam & to push the Phish button. I have deleted the email. Beware all you Skipton members & get your money out while you can

Had an issue with a payment I sent to the wrong account, also with an issue with withdrawal and was sorted straight away, definitely recommend, customer support was excellent!

All the issues were dealt with quickly, efficiently. I am totally satisfied.

I have copied this review fro a recent two-star one . It exactly reflects my experience today. I have been with Skipton because they offered good savings rates. However in my 'chat' today the poor lady respondents had to admit that the new app is not yet fully developed. Who in their right minds releases software which is not fully developed and untested. (I have worked in software development)
Fortunately I have recently drawn down both my savings accounts so if I decide to come back, maybe the software will be up to scratch.......

Generally skipton have been a good savings provider with a good online offering. However they have recently upgraded customers to a new app which is utterly unfit for purpose, full of bugs and missing key functionality essential for operating your account. Issues like this are normally found on testing so it gives the impression that the app project has been badly mismanaged. The easiest solution would be to allow customers go back.to the excellent previous app, however they are not allowing this. I have submitted feedback and a formal complaint but have heard nothing. Talk about hero to zero in record time!

Unfortunately I locked myself out of my online banking with Skipton, blocking my account and I received a message saying to contact Customer Services. I fully appreciate that account holder have to be robustly identified but the security question was "what is the balance of your account?"I could not answer this as the reason for phoning Skipton was that I was locked out of the account. They refused to ask any other security questions and as I had failed security I would have to produce identification documents at a local branch. The nearest branch is over an hour away on public transport and my initial contact did not advise me that original documentation could be posted in. I received this information on my second call. I asked to log an official compliant and was advised that this could only be logged as a 3rd party complaint as they could not identify me. I sent in my documents which were returned in a couple of days with a very brief covering letter which did not advise me of my next steps to unlock the account. I phoned Skipton and the account was unlocked. I then logged an official complaint and eventually received a response 10 days later and in which they said the complaint was unfounded. It was inteeresting that the complaint letter was dated 23rd July but I only received on thr 12th August. What really annoyed me was their intractability and the fact that you could not speak to a supervisor. They don't seem to grasp the ridiculousness of their actions when they were advised of the issue. Needles to say my funds will be winging their way to another financial institution.

I spoke with a lady called jasmine on the web chat and she was wonderful and very understanding and put me at ease through a stressful situation.

Awful procedure to check funds of an isa. Unable to access with a house move coming up and will have to try elsewhere. So poor
