This restart scheme is run with lies and unprofessional people. Waisting government funds. On first initial appointment the advisor said every 2 weeks we will catch up with a phone call with you and once a month you be coming for a face to face. Every week or so I attended a face to face. Not ever 1 catch up phone call like they said. If your advisor is not in on the day they don't tell you, you just go and see someone else and at the end they say come back tomorrow or the day after tomorrow to see your advisor. So why did I see you then? What was the point?. They offer this waste of time and government money workshops that are useless and you are force to attend plus most of them you don't even know you have an appointment. What they do is they just make appointments for you and you only know about it by text the day before. You are not valued as a human for them to call and arrange date time for appointment they just make them. Advisor continously lies. I had to have an operation, i took them hospital letters with the dates i couldn't attend. Advisor made notes all well. I was at hospital getting texts to attend appointments. Then I had to attend a work shop. I arrived tgere waited then the person came and said no one else came we have to cancel. I said shall i book it again with you? She goes no, next time that you see your advisor he will arrange it. A few days before may face to face appointment I received a text, tomorrow is your workshop appointment. What appointment? When was it arranged, are we invincible? Don't we matter? Even attending jobcentre before you leave they tell you the day and time for next appointment. This restart scheme its waisting government money, not ever once this advisor emailed me any jobs or anything. Every time I saw him before i leave he always said I will email you, he never does. I think as long they show the jobcentre we attended, write a few comments on the system then they get paid thats all they care.

Reading all the previous comments makes me angry and want to do something about this awful situation that people find themselves in. I had covid which left me unable to work. I was offered the work and WELL-BEING programme. Zero well-being was offered! It was all about giving me rubbish training. Constant phone calls and texts and meetings. Meetings were held in an open plan office which was so noisy I couldn’t hear myself think! No privacy at all. My mental health got worse and worse but they didn’t care. I move house on the 1st August and I was contacted the next day by an adviser in the office that I was transferred to! I was exhausted from moving. I started to ignore the phone calls. Luckily I was involved with a charity who also contacted them on my behalf to tell them to give me a break. Awful scheme and complete waste of taxpayers money.

Now that my year with the Restart Scheme is over I can safely say that it was the worst year of my life.
I went to my appointment today as I had been booked to do a day course. I was then told that I didn't have to be there and that I could go home as apparently my last day at Restart was on Tuesday 4th and that my program with them was now closed and that I wasn't on their system anymore. I should have been told this and I should have had an appointment to do an exit review but I never had such an appointment.
And plus on Tuesday my advisor actually rang me so she spoke to me. She didn't do an exit review and instead insulted me because I was unsuccessful for a job. It was 6 hours a week for a start which is literally useless to me and it would have taken almost an hour to get there. I said this to the interviewer but said I was still able to get there on time.
Then 1 hour later I get a phone call from my advisor who was very nasty and told me that I hadn't been successful because I lied and said it would take me an hour when according to her it would only take half an hour (she looked at the route via car and I rely on public transport). She said she would have to tell the Job Centre that I refused an opportunity for work. I didn't even get the job and attended the interview so how is that refusing a job opportunity?

They are nothing but nasty bullies here who don't care how their words effect your mental health as mental health issues are not barriers.
I'm so glad to be away from this Hell Hole.

Where to begin? Here's the most shocking thing first, the "work coach" encouraged me to say to an employer that I'm disabled. I'm only young but we were always taught that lying to employers is the worst thing you can do. To them that is somehow fine to do as I have no disability despite what they seem to think.

It was a very childlike place where they gossip about people who don't show up like one guy who didn't seem them for a year and would say he was walking his dog. This should be a private conversation instead it was shared all around the office like a funny online video.

My last "coach" was very insulting by making me feel like I had 0 IQ and demanded to know what I do in my spare time like they are some kind of private investigator. They also made me out to be extremely lazy despite being a very active person. This "coach" knew nothing about the local area, like most of them, and seemed to be proud of their fancy Ashford heritage. We are a deprived area but we are not peons thank you.

I also have zero experience with any sort of childcare or teaching role yet my coach wanted to sign me up to teach in some kind of delinquent center. That shows how much they really care about your case.

Chippenham Branch. There is no review bombing, no embellishing. This organization is just not cut out for those struggling on the lower end of the bracket.

I went with a clear indication as to how this was going to work out and everything i knew was accurate. As soon as I saw critical sentences in the paper work I knew this was never going to work, and was skeptical if it was ever intended to or just another bargaining chip for funding. They would decree you ' had no choice' .

DO NOT sign with them, they will hold a metaphorical Shotgun to your back the moment you hand over your details and to give them the power to pull the trigger at any chosen oppotunity, to have vulnerable individuals effectively held to ransom so 'they can get a job ' is the completely wrong approach that has led them to much darker territory. You do not help people by threatening or forcing, you do not have any degree of power over the actions of an individual, you are there to assist and to support, not to Coerce and hold power over.

You would legitimately be better off just going to Dover and finding some human trafficker and working in a money laundering outfit or sweatshop for all the good and harm that will come to you.

Repeat, Any kind of financial or otherwise vulnerabilty, You must avoid becoming entombed by this organization. There are always options and alternatives, if a loved one is advised into joining this
group by jobseekers guild or otherwise, pull all your power into making it so they get as far as hell away as possible or there could be a chance their lives will become a true nightmare beyond anything they faced.

Please take your case to the Citizens Advice Bureau or your local MP.

Company is a shambles, I was taken off the restarts scheme to work with someone else as the job centre deemed it unfitting for my health and wellbeing. The person I had started working with left so they made me go back on to restarts, I made it very clear from the start that my anxiety is really bad and I wasn't very comfortable in going there, but I was warned I'd be sanctioned if I miss appointments which made me go. I went in my "advisor" was too busy talking to there work colleagues and called me over 20 mins after my appointment started, they then proceeded to talk to another attendee the whole appointment which made me very uncomfortable, after this initial appointment I had a follow up which was via phone call. When I answered the call my advisor was asking me what I wanted to do for work I told them my aspirations and goals which they laughed at me. I have never felt so belittled in my life. Now I'm being bombarded with appointments, where I'm going in 3+ times a week, along with still attending JC appointments fortnightly. it is all getting too much. This "scheme" does not help you, if anything it makes you feel worse about your situation.

Awful company, after being signed off by the Dr they still tried to tell me that I had to adhere to DWP guide lines. On reading the guidelines it actually states that I don't have to go to any appointments. Felt pressured, and bullied into doing what they wanted. This company gives no holds barred whether you are disabled (which I am) No compassion and uses threats of reporting you to the job centre every time you try to put your point across

Terrible company to work for. Was with them for two unhappy years as an employment advisor. The staff talk openly about the participants. Mocking them, rubbishing their CVs, talking about their hygiene or lack there of etc. The list goes on. Zero management input. Zero training. Just thrown in at the deep end. Hated it. But needed the money at the time.

I suffer from Major Anxiety, depression and anorexia.
I struggle socially, but they’re more bothered about making me get a job I’m far from capable of doing.

Well I was going to write a thorough review but I'd be repeating everything that everyone has said about this scheme.
Just scroll and know its all true and clearly the same practices up and down the country. Absolute crap

I used to work for this company in 2017. They do not know the meaning of quality. This was very evident as they thought delivering the bare minimum to meet targets was enough. The learner experience and supporting inclusion was not their focus at all. One Manager thought it was a good idea to potentially put 20 learners in a small classroom while a bigger suitable classroom could of been used. The list goes on. I resigned after 1 year and returned to my previous job. Good experience on one hand of how not to do things.

Worst scheme I never asked to be put on by DWP!

I suffer from anxiety, autism and ADHD (the latter two with no formal diagnosis due to the tories screwing of the NHS) and have been in constant mental turmoil from being on this scheme. They have constantly asked more than is capable of me and I have stressed time and time again that they are asking too much. They push you towards unsuitable jobs and get you to talk to rude employment advisors that don't understand you at all.

I am now facing potential sanctions to my benefits due to struggling to complete an irrelevant online course, something that they did not even explain I would be sanctioned for. I struggle to sit still due to ADHD and cannot focus on it, even when forcing myself to. I have wanted to leave since I started (September 22') but was informed when I voiced this to my EA that the scheme was mandatory. This is like some sick joke and it will either take me offing myself due to no other options or cancelling my universal credit and potentially facing homelessness to escape from it. This is a living nightmare and shows just how disgustingly far this Tory govt is willing to go to fill employment quotas with their grifting tax scam schemes. It is in Restart's best interest after all to push you into jobs due to the payment their advisors recieve once you've made £3000 or more.... Absolutely disgusting.

Restart doesn’t deserve 1 star. Im on sick and they know Iam . But I get constant appointments and text and emails.
This company doesn’t care long as there ok.
This team need to learn manners, and have better communication with people instead of looking down at people. This company needs to go on courses for communication skills and much more. Government need to speak to people about this restart program and listen to what people have to say about this company.

Everywhere the same problem! All about take money from the people and let the people suffer. All is in hands of the elite and they are laughing about this. People go on the street to fight against the great reset.

I have been on the Restart scheme with the job centre. Unfortunately due to ill health I have been on their wellbeing programme. Staff were always friendly but due to my anxiety it as been very stressful. Phone calls weekly which never the dates or times stated I was always waiting for the phone to ring. Sometimes it was 2 hours later. Office layout is very stressful tables of staff and clients around these tables conversations were always heard. Not very professional. The wellbeing sheets I worked off were helpful. Overall I found the scheme to be stressful but staff were always courteous and friendly.

15 months of wasting my time. I just cannot understand how this level of management-down complete incompetence can allow their subsidiary companies/partners (in my case Prospect Training, for whom I have also left this review on TP) to be staffed by dishonest managers and utterly inept case workers (or whatever they are called).

Mine spent the majority of the 15 month mandatory sentence attempting to get me back into the job that I had to retire from due to becoming physically disabled.

I complained to him about his lack of listening. I then complained directly to Seetec, who just passed the complaint down the chain to this person's manager, who just bold-faced lied to me, seemingly unaware that emails have date stamps on them. So I complained directly to the DWP.

NOTHING CHANGED.

Just incompetence right up until the last meeting, whereupon I was reminded about the online-portal. Ah yes, the online portal which my case worker failed to inform me about and subsequently failed to provide me with functioning log in details when I requested them, on multiple occasions.

A truly dispicably worthless organisation which is just a parasite attached to the government's purse strings.

This is just a small slice of my complaints, but I have no wish to write a novel.

Absolutely a waste of time effort and money

Why this company was created and still exist? They are absolutely useless. It’s a huge waste taxpayers obey.
