I chose scrivens as they offer sight and contact lens appointments by the same optometrist, initial appointment went well. The issues have arisen with contact lens fitting appointments since then.
Saw a different person who was unhappy with the first optometrists prescription so checked my eyes again and ordered different samples. Took almost 2 weeks for next appointment and that optometrist wasn’t happy with the prescription again without even having me try the lens. She then told me as I want to be able to order lens online, I should go to vision express to get fitted!
So over a month since my initial appointment and I’m back to square one with no prescription and having to start again with a different company!
Don’t waste your time!

My experience was good, but not great.

I was advised that my eyesight was not up to the standard required for driving, but I was given no explanation as to why.

Was it because I failed to read a particular row of characters? If so would I have been permitted to seek a second opinion, or a re-test. These are purely academic questions, as I clearly required a new prescription, following my cataract operations.

At my previous eye test, at Scrivens, Bridport, it was recommended I should request a Glaucoma assessment. I am now on some waiting list. Glaucoma was not mentioned at this recent test.

More seriously, I could not see a frame that I liked, and so was unable to order a new pair of glasses, from any of the three displays that I looked at.

I went today as requested by gp and the optician was very good and checked all the health in my eyes

The staff at Scrivens are professional friendly and always put you at your ease; which I do need at the opticians (coward tha I am). I was returning after cataract surgery to be tested for my glasses from arriving for my appointment I was seen on time it was relaxed the whole process was explained in detail.
I was then taken to Hamza the optician he was extremely thorough in his examination he noticed white cells and is referring back. I did need anything explain to me even though Hamza asked as he explained everything fully.
I woul refer anyone to Scrivens they ALWAYS give excellent service.

Visited Scrivens today for my eye test open before appointment at 9am. The staff are all very welcoming friendly and helpful. The Optician is brilliant very relaxed atmosphere. The lady who I picked my frames with and ordered them was lovely. Highly recommend Scrivens Opticians Waterloo road Blackpool. Five stars for everything.

Although there are many opticians closer to my home I prefer to travel to Scrivens, Kings Heath, Birmingham as I know that I will receive a first class, caring service by Jo and the 'front line' staff at this branch.

They are all welcoming and in this day and age you get treated as a person/friend rather than just a number.

First time I've used Scrivens opticians (chapel en le frith) and wasn't disappointed. Friendly efficient service throughout my appointment. My regular from now on.

Excellent service from Lakeisha, she explained the process clearly and in detail. I have experienced numerous wax removal treatment but this by a long way the best.

I had made an appointment to see the audiologist in Sherborne because of an intermittent fault with my left aid. In no time at all the audiologist identified the fault and was able to find a replacement receiver component which was tested and found working - which it still is.
I will definitely go back to Scrivens when my aids need replacement.
