I am really pleased with my new glasses and Emma at the Bourne branch was so helpful with helping me choose glasses to suit me.

The service from the manager and her team was second to none.
From the time i entered the shop to the time i left I felt at ease and well informed.
The glasses that lorna helped me choose i am so delighted with and will be recommending friends and family.

We visited the audiology specialist at Scrivens in Peacehaven, who was exceptional in his care of my 98yr old mother in law. We came away with new hearing aids and a hope of real customer care for the future after years of neglect from the previous NHS providers.
We are going to move all of our opticians and hearing care requirements to Scrivens from now on. Such friendly and helpful staff. We absolutely recommend them.

My experience with Scrivens was great. The appointment was for audiology appointment for my dad. We were warmly greeted by Dipesh who checked all our details and provided an overview of what the appointment would entail.
The audiologist Amaan Khan was exceptional from start to finish. The appointment was thorough, unrushed, and genuinely reassuring. Hetook the time to explain every step of the hearing test, what the results meant, and how different options could support my dads long‑term hearing health.

What stood out most was their calm, patient approach — he listened carefully, answered every question clearly, and made the whole process feel comfortable and easy. The technology used was modern and efficient, and my dad and I left feeling informed, supported, and confident about the next steps.

I highly recommend this clinic to anyone looking for professional, compassionate hearing care.

The staff were very helpful and their technical knowledge was very important. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they were very polite and gave an honest feedback to the different glasses available.

I’ve been visiting David’s practice for about 40 years, starting back when I was a child.

Even then, I remember being so amazed by how effortlessly he could read the smallest text!

​His clinical knowledge is truly top-notch—years ago, our GP even referred us to David for a second opinion, and the hospital consultants passed along praise for his accurate diagnosis letter.

David and his wonderful team are always so kind, professional, and thorough.

Plus, it was amazing as I received my spectacles and they fit well! I wouldn't trust my eyes to anyone else.

The staff were very helpful and polite as usual and the optician was very pleasant and thorough.
I was extremely happy with the service but the only downside is that I could obtain the specified lenses cheaper elsewhere which is a significant factor bearing in mind that they cost in the region of £600 (frame excluded).
Also no discount for pensioners.

My mum first took us many years ago to Donald and atchisons which then became scrivans and we have continued coming even mum up to her passing 2 years ago.Last week I needed an urgent appointment and scriven's fitted me in the same day.I was so grateful. But through all the years and changes to staff, like Mr King who was the optician who was part of the furniture they have all been marvellous. The date below I think it was the 6th August they fitted me in, give or take a few days

I needed some new glasses & the ladies were extremely friendly, knowledgeable & helpful. My new glasses were ready for collection very quickly, and I am so pleased with them.

I am 59 & this is the first time I have ever had a eye test. The Didcot branch were excellent & very friendly, eye test done, chose my frames & within 2 weeks I had my new glasses. Went back to collect & have them fitted & was very pleased that I ordered a pair of sunglasses as you offered me a 50% discount. They told me to pop back in if I needed any frame adjustments or assistance. I am a very happy customer & will use them in the future.

My daughter and I had hearing tests at the Haywards Heath branch of Scrivens yesterday. We have both had hearing tests in the past so we are able to say that yesterday's experience was excellent.
From the staff that arranged our appointments a couple of weeks ago, those who greeted us and the to the audiologist who conducted the tests everyone was welcoming and friendly.
The audiologist made us feel relaxed and confident that we were in safe hands. She explained every step of the test, everything we need to know about our new NHS hearing aids and was happy to answer any queries and stress that if we have any problems with the new aids or have questions that Scrivens are there and happy to listen.
We are happy to recommend this professional, happy and relaxed branch of Scrivens.

Now I know they are not free
But £5 for 2 is a bit over the top

The staff at wem were excellent friendly & polite could not ask for anything more
