I popped in to New Barnet Screwfix to buy two small light bulbs for a 28 year old lamp. As an older woman I've often found male staff in a male environment in a traditionally male trade a little intimidating but the staff here were great. Big smiles, lots of help, lots of time to make sure I got the right bulbs. All for a purchase in the grand sum of £6.16 inc VAT. Since I didn't use my account I can't seem to write a review within the Screwfix app or website but hope they'll see this with my thanks xxx

I ordered a 1 L of Fortress Trade primer and undercoat for some DIY projects I am doing. First time to use it, the lid came off easily but care had to be taken to minimize damage to lid. I could not remove it second time, and the whole tin of paint was wasted. Fortress/ Screwfix need to radically change the design of its tins. I will advise my DIY club of this event and tell them not to buy this brand in the future.

Just been in to Screwfix Kilmarnock as usual great service. Nothing is a problem for the staff they are so helpful and search to get you the best deal. That is the reason it is my go to shop.

All Lap products are greif to fit electrically screws too small aperture not deep enough. Often the screw pushes out the solid copper cable. Most products are sub standard only produced for Screwfix. Now I have a screwfix local to me, I've had to start insisting "I supply all materials", or have I to fight with the substandard stuff from screwfix. Might as well order from Temu.

I had to just tske the time to put a review on re screwfix mansfield woodhouse. Fabulous team of people , who never fsil to help. On purchasing a door bells that I couldn't get a battery in. They had patience to hrlp and don't my problem. 5 star service. A big tbankyou

I went yesterday, to Screwfix at Parkhouse Industrial Estate, Chesterton, Newcastle, Staffs and Danni was so helpful. She went above and beyond and got me 3 x copy invoices from previous purchases that I needed for my book keeping. Thank you so much you were amazing.

I went to pick up simple items today pendent light fittings,led bulbs, Flexi cable and PVA glue and a 3 pin plug. The only item they had in stock was the 3 pin plug so I went nextdoor to Toolstation and they had everything. Total loss of sales for screwfix was £78. They only got £1.05 for the plug. I did try to use the online service of click and collect but as usual the Screwfix online system didn't work and I couldn't check the stock in-store because of this I changed it and popped in.

Be very careful buying from Screwfix’s if it’s a 3rd party seller as I received my order on Wednesday not as illustrated asked for a refund on the same day as delivery and still not been contacted to arrange the collection and they won’t refund until collection When they eventually get round to it

Purchased a 3-In-1 Instant Boil tap from Screwfix which wasn’t fitted for a little while as I had some delays with a new kitchen being fitted. All fitted fine and product worked well, after around 6 months of use it’s now leaking from the main tank. Checked online and screwfix have discontinued the product, presumably due to all of the product reviews that have had a similar issue.

Contacted screwfix but unfortunately they only warrant the product for 12 months from purchase, despite it being fitted for 6 months it’s just ticked over 12 months. Weren’t very helpful at all, gave me a phone number for the manufacturer who were also no help at all.

Understand products can have problems but Screwfix clearly purchased a low quality product and have since wiped their hands with them.

Once upon a time, this company was decent! What happened? Did they employ people lacking common sense and purple hair! or are they just screwing the company into the ground!

As an electrician, I have started going to Toolstation now more often, due to the fact toolstation actually stock things I need, not necessarily electrical stuff. Add to that, I always have to chase up issues with billing with Screwfix, nothing on my invoices make sense in regard to what my bank statement says, what the invoices say and what the app says!

Also, look out for the store credit scam whereby they take your refund money and put it onto store credit without asking you, all the while you think it's gone back to your card. CROOKS!

Ordered on a Wednesday, said part ready and order will be complete the next day, next day a message to say order delayed until the next day, this company are a joke, just go to b & q or wickes, and most of the time they have what you want, this is the last time I'm using them

Ordered EV cable delivery direct, two weeks later still no delivery. Enquiries with Screwfix you get the same repeated answer blaming everyone but themselves and NO one at Screwfix follows up the issue .

Toilet seat was broken and apparently supplied by an external business to them. Called up the screwfix helpline to see if I could buy a replacement as it came part of a full system and I was unable to purchase like for like online. They ensured I got a replacement delivered within 24h free of charge and we're very apologetic about the quality issue.

Very disappointing experience with Screwfix. I purchased a product specifically because it was advertised as next day collection. This promise was the main reason I chose Screwfix. However, this was simply not the case. The product was not available the next day, and there was no clear communication or prior notification about the delay.

Advertising services that you cannot actually deliver is misleading and unacceptable. This shows a complete lack of respect for customers’ time and planning. For a company that claims to be reliable and efficient, this level of service is extremely poor. I will think twice before using Screwfix again and would not recommend it if timing matters to you.

Over the last few days I have received considerable kind and thoughtful help from Screwfix Salisbury (Churchfields Trading Estate) in regard to an order. There were some problems with delivery for a 'pick up' at the store, but these were addressed by Charlie with considerable determination. She kept me informed of developments, and her manner was kind throughout.

It is so heartening to receive help like this, and I will remember this for many years to come.

Unlike many of the reviews here, mine are mostly positive. Im not a trade professional, just enthusiastic DIY'er - so perhaps my needs are not as time-sensitive as professional tradespeople. I find the product range good (not everything I need), availability is usually in stock or within a day, prices competitive (not always cheapest, but reaosnable). I always collect - so I have no experience of delivery-to-site. On one recent occasion I purchased a tool on sale which when I opened the box clearly had been customer-returned (damaged packaging, no instructions, no guarantee or registration document - clear clues). I took it back and they supplied a replacement without question. So my experiences have been positive. Maybe it depends which Screwfix branch you use?
