Scancom sold me an "unlimited" data…

Scancom sold me an "unlimited" data plan, which turned out to be capped. I hit the 1000GB limit by 22/12, after which the service effectively stopped. Because their support wasn't available during the holidays, I was left without internet for the entire Christmas period, nearly two weeks.

Their support team is reasonably responsive, which is why I'm giving two stars instead of one. However, the actual problem-solving is poor. Most of the time I had to repeat the same information multiple times before they finally understood what the issue was.

Unfortunately a really unreliable…

Unfortunately a really unreliable company and SIM. Keeps stop working, I’ve been out of pocket and the customer service is rather slow. I wouldn’t go for this company, go for direct with the mobile companies.

Easy service for prepaid SIM cards for internet connectivity

SIM card price, data allowance and validity period were clear when ordering. SIM card arrived promptly and has worked without any problems. Scancom has been a good service for obtaining backup connectivity solutions for our small business.

Liars and cheats.

It all started with their black Friday deal on amazon. The Three data sim at 40% off. So you order one and with the help of amazon it's a failed delivery. This was plainly a phantom delivery from the start. Even today it's still listed on the amazon site as running late. Well if you don't send it out it can't be scanned back in. After a number of attempts to get what I paid for the amazon customer service told me to order a replacement and the price would be adjusted after delivery. As you can guess this never happened and I ended up paying full price. Then comes the slap in the face. This 5G data sim is not. It's only 4G no matter where in the country you use it. No doubt they will blame Three but it's them that are creating the listing on amazon with the 5G headline. Scancom? Sadly has been spelt wrong it's scamcon. The black Friday scam and the 5G con. Just liars and cheats.

Deceptive marketing.

They sell a 1000GB sim and an UNLIMITED sim. which are identical, the UNLIMITED sim has a 1000gb fair use policy cap, the data is cut at 1000gb and not merely restricted as one would assume. Why market identical sims under two different names.

Always a good supply from ScanCom

Always a good supply from ScanCom. I'm on the edge of 5G and choosing Three Mobile gives adequate speed outside of busy and domestically congested hours. Good for a very small backup business mobile connection.

Avoid this company, it is not reliable

I bought a Vodafone Preloaded Air Calls via Scan Com Dec 04, they took my original phone number and it is still not active till today Dec 15. I have keep chasing via emails and phone calls, nobody replied emails and the person who got the call said he sent the message to let Scan com's other team to solve the problem and still no replied.
It is supposed to change the line from one company to another company immediately, now it is one week I can't reach my number.
It is not a good company to deliver the proper products and service. Better to avoid them.

Ordered a Three data only sim which…

Ordered a Three data only sim which arrived via DPD 3 days later. Popped the sim in my router and everything worked perfectly.... for about 4 days !
Day 5 started great but mid to late afternoon download speed dropped dramatically such that the internet was unusable so I finished early. Next day, the same scenario. Signal strength was a solid 75%, upload a steady 5-6 MB, download barely 1.2 MB (dial up territory here if you remeber those days !). With the weekend looming I pulled the sim and used my personal standard sim to finish the day. I left the Scancom one out for the entire weekend. Come Monday I determined to try once more before contacting support. Popped the Three sim back in and from then on, to date all has worked well. If things continue as they are then I shall be very happy.
