Excellent correspondence and customer service at its best. Traded in my own car for a new Toyota over the internet and everything went extremely smoothly and efficiently. The dealer went over the top to make sure we were happy and if everything was understandable.

My first experience using RRG Toyota Bury Service Department
I purchased my Toyota Aygo xcite last January when it came with its first MOT certificate. Today was the day of its service and MOT. The car was picked up from my home at 08.20 and arrived back with me just before 1pm. I received a film clip of the examination of the vehicle which proved there were no problems with my car. Thomas collected and brought my vehicle back to me and was a lovely person to deal with. Thank you all at RRG Bury Service Department.

Replacement Kia
We wanted to replace my car, we had previously used RRG Bury so we went back. Had an idea of what we wanted to buy. The salesman Daniel Gardner was very helpful, not pushing us at. We chosed a Kia Sportage & advised by Daniel to go for a test drive which we did. No pressure at all. The sale was made so easy. Lovely customer service.

Terrible experience
RRG Toyota Altrincham
Stay away from this branch, especially if you are a customer trying to purchase over the phone or online. The service is very poor, and communication is lacking. It is quite unprofessional.
We purchased and picked up the car yesterday. We travelled from Glasgow to collect the vehicle, but when we saw the car, it had numerous scratches all over the body, and one large area had a significant burn mark. When we asked the manager to replace that part, even though we were willing to overlook the other scratches due to normal wear and tear, he refused because he had offered us a £200 discount over the phone when we initially inquired about the car.
A service had been carried out five months ago, and the car has been driven for 3.5k miles since then. However, they refused to provide a fresh service because they claimed they couldn't spend any money on the car due to the £200 discount.
When we argued with him about these issues, he told us we could leave and walk away, showing no concern for how far we travelled by train or the fact that we had taken time off work, needing to return the next day. We felt we had no option but to buy the car, which felt like a forced sale when we were extremely unhappy. Now that we are back in Glasgow, we regret this purchase and would prefer to return the car, as we are not satisfied.
While driving on the motorway, we noticed that the wipers were ineffective and couldn't clear the windshield properly, forcing us to stop until the rain let up enough for safe driving. I called the salesman today to report the wiper issue, but he insisted that the wipers were fine and were last checked. This experience has been terrible, and I cannot express how disappointing it has been. If you haven't seen the car in person, I strongly advise against making any deals with them.

Bought my first new car
Bought my first new car, this was a big decision to make and after going to some other dealerships there was something different at RRG Rochdale. There was no pressure at all yet provided all the information I needed to decide in my own time. From the first time walking into the dealership to collecting my vehicle the communication and updates was great. I would highly recommend RRG Rochdale, Greg Novak was very helpful and other staff friendly and relaxed.

Bought 3 cars from them over 9 years - always used them exclusively for service and MOT. Routine service this month full of mistakes, we complained and got a self righteous response blaming human error, their computer systems, their phone system, "this is just our process", and the fallback classic poor customer service apology - apologising for the way I feel about their service, rather than their service. Things escalated with further surface polite but we're right you're wrong emails, and when we said we'd had enough we'd cancel our service plans etc. they metaphorically couldn't wait to get us out the door. Told us to contact emac to cancel our 2 service plans as nothing to do with them (but we signed up in their dealership) with no points of contact provided, emac responded to say they'd cancelled and if they owed us any money it would be paid into our bank account - but no offer to tell us how that would be calculated.
In the meantime the Aftersales Manager pointed out repeatedly that Mazda, and they, believed and I quote they have been at times this year "the very best in the country" and he knows "we are better than your assessment". We have copied Mazda into our correspondence with no input from them - and no feedback form either - which is odd.
At each step I was further surprised at how this was handled. A simple offer of a chat through, a bit of understanding, and they'd have kept 2 customers perhaps for a further 9 years. Very strange.

Poor Part Exchange offered
`I'm afraid I can only give RRG Group three stars. I drove 100 miles last week from my home in North Yorkshire to view a 2024 Skoda Enyaq EV ex-demonstrator. After an unaccompanied test drive I wanted to buy the vehicle - subject to receiving a fair price for my vehicle in Part Exchange. I was treated with respect by the saleman, Phil - but I never met the Sales Manager. After Phil consulted the Sales Manager he wouldn't raise the offer for my car against the Enyaq, which in my opinion, fell short by £2000 - they offered me £29k on my vehicle which would retail at £34500 - so I walked away.
To show how bad this deal was I visited another Skoda dealership one week later, purchasing a similar vehicle for which I was given £2000 more - £31000 in part exchange.
I would therefore warn any consumers visiting RRG Group to be sure if they are looking for part exchange, to check carefully and compare the price which is being offered for their car, elsewhere.

Bought a used vehicle online from RRG Peugeot Oldham which, being unseen and untested by me, requires a good deal of trust. Ifzal was excellent in his communication, answering questions by both email and on the phone, and getting the deal and associated paperwork sorted speedily, including delivery to East Lothian. The car itself did not disappoint on arrival. Nice one!

RRG Toyota Stockport Take NO Responsibility
I picked up a demonstration Aygo X Exclusive from RRG Toyota Stockport on 19 August 2024. Since purchase, I have encountered continuous issues with the car’s Pre-Collision System, which, despite multiple service visits, remain unresolved. I talked with my salesman on 22/8/2024 and booked the service on 28/8/2024. First examinstion on 28/8/2024 said it was due to low battery. Second examination 7/10/2024 said it was due to old code in the computer. The third examination on 21/10/2024 said all were normal and the pre-collision system warning never lighted up during their examination. I insisted there was a problem and took photos and video on the dash box. Finally they said it was the steering rod bent and caused the problem on 22/10/2024. They said pre-sell examination on 5/8/2024 was normal and the steering rod bent was due to my driving manner. I need to pay the the repair price for myself. During a conversation on 24/10/2024, their sales manager said they won't hold any liability in this situation even I drove out their shop for an hour.
Take care to buy any car from them and take full examination before you drive the car out.

I am extremely disappointed with the customer care that was received from Lexus Bolton today. I was driving my car last night and suddenly all lights and messages came on, so I called Lexus today to get it checked out and I was informed that I will need a new hybrid battery.
My car was originally bought from Lexus Bolton with full Lexus service history which I carried on keeping up, even a slight dent was done by RRG Lexus approved garage. I was expecting the hybrid issue was covered by warranty because it is supposed to be covered up to 15 years if it’s serviced at the dealership. However Lexus Bolton has told me it is not covered because it has failed the hybrid check in July where it went back to Lexus with a warning light on, stating the hybrid filter and fan were blocked. I had to pay Lexus Bolton to have it cleaned and it came back with no faults on the dash however I was told to go back anytime and they will issue me a hybrid health pass certificate. As I am so busy and time has gone on, the warning lights came up again yesterday and the hybrid battery failed. I never had any reminder from Lexus to go back in at any point except from asking me for feedback. I only ever get contacted by Lexus because my service plan is due for renewal or it’s time to service the car which means spending £££. Lexus is supposed to know the vehicle inside out but I don’t know why the hybrid fan/ filter was never cleaned throughout its life and I had to pay Lexus Bolton to get it cleaned, they said because this doesn’t happen often and it only happens to taxis but my car isn’t a taxi🤷🏻♂️. It’s sounds like they make it up as they go. I got so annoyed so I spoke to external company for a second opinion where they have qualified hybrid battery level 4 technicians which I was told that it’s quite likely the hybrid battery failed early because it had overheated when the filter was blocked but at the time I was told by Lexus that it was fine to drive it until it was due in the following week plus they confirmed it wouldn’t have any issues. Lexus Bolton always states they pride for their customer service but when problem came up they don’t seem to be denying warranty liability and just want me to spend £2800 to rectify the issue. Before all this every time after I visited the centre they always remember just to call me to get feedback off me and I was even told by the service staff several times, when the survey comes, on a scale out of 10, 8 is not good enough and he will be phoning whoever that gives an 8 to ask why, and a 9 is just satisfactory. I need a 10 🤷🏻♂️ To me that just sounds a bit intimidating. And now Lexus won’t honour the warranty or contribute towards the repair. I would urge anyone considering keeping your car full dealer service history with them, I would highly recommend you think twice. I would like to say I have recommended several friends and family to buy from the RRG group and now that I am so disappointed that I am going to get all my friends and family not to buy or use the service or plans supplied from the group again and I also plan to get my service plan withdrawn and go elsewhere. People might think it’s because I have to pay £2800, I would like to say I have the funds and can afford the repair but thats not the point. I know all you consumers are smart, think about how much money was spent maintaining my car over the course of 10 years at Lexus dealers, I am sure you all will understand what I mean. Absolutely Irresponsible! 😮💨 I will also inform Toyota Lexus GB to make their aware what reputation these are leaving them. Very unhappy.

Beware the badge
Firstly, try and ascertain who is pricing the work if it's service you're needing. RRG Mazda Stockport and Mazda bookings gave me two vastly different prices. Either could book you in.
The 'health check' video sent to me following a service raised concerns when two independent MOT testing stations stated the work (£550 quote from Mazda) was completely unnecessary.
I should have received an apology from the dealership, after a staff member told me I'd asked for an issue to be fixed which I'd never mentioned. Instead I received a terse, self righteous response which didn't address the main issue raised (see similar below).
It's worth using the Motor Ombudsman should you have similar issues.
I believe there are more trustworthy garages for your Mazda out there.

Peugeot Bury
I bought my car from Peugeot in Rochdale and usually take it there for it’s Mot etc but it’s a bit far from me in Bury and I was short on time so I took it to Ats in bury instead. It failed because the bulb for the indicator light in one of the wing mirrors needed changing but they couldn’t do it because they said it was a complex job to take my wing mirrors apart and I’d have to find another garage. I was a bit confused to be honest so I got in my car to google it and realised there was a Peugeot garage in Bury. I drove there to get some advice and a nice man came out, grabbed a little tool and was able to open up the mirror and change the bulb within 5mins! I didn’t catch his name unfortunately but it was on the 12th September on a day your card payment systems went down.

Excellent customer service!
I needed my camera clearing and connecting to my phone and Dan made me feel at ease to pop in and get it sorted, he then went the extra mile by asking a really knowledgeable colleague Dave to explain things with me, and he then explained many more important and worthwhile items about my car which I wasn’t using and not the full potential out of it. I cannot praise either enough. Polite, friendly and hard working. Definitely recommend RRG Stockport.

AVOID like the plague and getting worse for them
Still no response from Sales Manager 31 HOURS later!!!!!
Incompetence,time wasting,making unwarranted assumptions,insulting part exchange_at RRG MG Stockport.Disorganised,overconfident salesman.Nobody answers phone at opening time today 9 Sept.This to a customer who bought 4 cars from RRG Stockport/Bury,previously,and had excellent relationship with previous sales people.In short RRG Stockport should be stripped of MG franchise,and salesman and Sales Manager sacked by RRG.Still 3 hours later Sales Manager has failed to return urgent call.I intend to inform my neighbours (good friends) how badly services has deteriorated....they have bought at least 4 Mazdas from RRG Stockport and have taken note.
PS....still no response from Sales Manager Carl,9 hours later....has he had his P45 already?? Talk about digging a grave for yourself!

Amazing service from start to finnish
I was out and about looking for New Car, decided to pop into Toyota RRG Stockport. I was looking for Motability Car . I spoke to Vincent told him which car I was thinking about and he arranged test drive there and then other dealers Booked appointments for same. Everything was sorted, Car ordered etc etc. We had our small dog with us, he was a star I think every member of staff paid him attention, it was an amazing experience for my wife and myself, more so for Bear our Dog, who was served with cool bowl of water, whilst we had coffee. Best car sales staff I have ever met. Thank you all so much.

Even by the exceedingly high standards of the RRG group (in my experience: Rochdale & Bury), I was especially impressed with the Sales Executive, Kyle in the Rochdale branch. He was an enormous help in understanding all the vehicles available and gave first class and impartial advice. Kyle went above and beyond expectations: a credit to the Group.
