I had such a memorable experience travelling with Projects Abroad. As a teenager looking for medical related experience, I discovered that they offered a project related to my interests in Peru.

Everything about the entire experience was amazing. I got to meet so many incredible people from all over the world and got to participate in medical workshops and shadow doctors.

The Projects Abroad staff in Peru were outstanding and always available, offering 24 hour support if needed. They truly made the overall experience even more memorable and impact full.

I have no other way of explaining this experience, other than life changing, because it really was. As I continue to a pursue a healthcare related career, I will always look back on this opportunity because it taught me so much, while also providing me with life long friendships and memories.

The people in the village were some of the most kindest people I have ever come across. They welcomed me with open arms and made me feel so included, which made my week in Fiji so much more special.

I went on my first projects abroad trip at 16 to Nepal on the medical experience. To say it was amazing would be an understatement; being able to see the different departments of the hospital, see smaller and more local hospitals, schools and clinics was an incredible experience. I got to meet so many different people in Nepal, as Nepal was filled with lovely welcoming communities and everyone welcomed you with a smile and were easy to talk to. I also made new friends within my group from different places in the world. In which none of this would be possible without the help, guidance and kindness of the projects abroad leaders. My trip helped me learn what parts of the medical professions I enjoyed most and go to open my mind further to the different lives people live. As well as the medical aspects of my trip I also got to experience the culture of Nepal with different foods, sights, animals and dances. All together creating an unforgettable trip, so I would definitely recommend projects abroad for anyone who is interested in seeing the world and learning at the same time.

Am amazing experience!

My daughter has just returned from two weeks in Thailand completing a diving course and marine conservation project. She had a brilliant time. The chaperoned flight provided great peace of mind for a long journey with multiple flights. Riyaad was our coordinator before the trip and provided us with everything we needed to know, was efficient and organised, keeping us updated throughout. I would recommend this as an experience for anyone thinking about it.

My 15 year old son had a fantastic time on the teen conservation trip to the Galápagos Islands! The long flight wasn’t a problem as he joined the chaperoned flight - it was all part of the adventure! The chaperoned flight gave us all peace of mind and proved a brilliant opportunity to meet others on the trip. He loved meeting new people from different cultures and backgrounds and immediately bonded with the group. The activities were varied and well planned. I especially loved having daily photos and updates from the project leader.

Since returning home, he has talked non stop about his adventure and says it’s the best thing he has done!

Thank you to all the staff who have made this memorable trip possible! The service has been brilliant from start to finish- so friendly, reassuring and professional! I’m just sad it’s all over!

This was an amazing experience as the Projects Abroad team was well structured and organised ensuring that I was comfortable and well looked after during my stay. The micro-finance program was a great way to get a further insight into the Tanzanian culture and was a good way to improve my presenting and communication skills.

Great communication, wonderful experience for the kids, adaptable when my child was unable to participate in an activity and they found another opportunity. Kids came home having new friends from all around the world.

I participated in the June 28 - July 11, High School Medical Program in Peru, and it was life changing. I have done a couple of similar programs by other organisations, but Projects Abroad was by far the best. Everyone was supported from sign-up to landing back home. I was always surrounded by caring, supportive Projects Abroad employees, and other participants. I was placed in a very safe and comfortable host family that made us some of the best food and were so friendly.
Dr. Uriel taught us so much in our workshops, and his passion and experience furthered the experiences.
All of our activities gave us a full view of the city, how people live and work, and the amazing culture of Peru.
Compared to previous programs I have done, Projects Abroad topped all of them as not only did we do everything I had hoped, but we got time each day to relax and take a break, allowing us to be ready and excited for the next thing they had in store for us.
Overall, this program changed my life, and I am so grateful for the amazing staff, the new friends, and everything I learned.

So much fun. I have never had a better holiday i met the most wonderful people and i will be friends w them for the rest of my life. The staff were incredible Kath and Seff were just awesome great people. We saw so much of cambodia and met so many cool local people as well as the kids at the school. Geniuely can’t complain about anything and it will be a memory i cherish for life. If you are thinking about doing one do it because it will be so much fun.

Everyone was so lovely, trying to make everything amazing for us no matter what it was, no matter how little the complaint or discomfort, there was always support for us on our trip

I had an amazing time in Nepal as a member of the Medical High School Special program there! The staff were incredibly supportive, the program was well designed and I got to really explore the medical field, and all of the extra activity's were amazing.

I did the Microfinance and Human Rights project in Tanzania. I loved every second of my project from the volunteer work to hanging out with my housemates and host family in my leisure time. We got Swahili classes that helped us start communications with the groups we were helping which made the entire environment more friendly.
The staff was absolutely incredible and understanding throughout the whole experience. I started with a tour of Arusha from Elgiver and I immediately felt at home in a country across the globe. He entire staff has helped provide an incredible experience and a hey have answered every question I had. They shared very reasonable expectations for my time here and I never once felt over worked. They assured with every step of the volunteering process.
The volunteer work was very hands on and I loved getting to meet women’s groups multiple times because of how welcoming and excited they were to see us every single time.
The housing was incredible. I loved having dinners with the host mom and her kids. They were always welcoming and loved hearing about each one of the volunteers days.
I would truly recommend staying as much time as you can in a project like this one. The people are incredibly welcoming and I wish I could spend more time in this project!

My teenage son had a really fantastic experience on the volunteer football coaching trip to Mexico this Summer - he's come back full of confidence and stories, and memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you to all the Projects Abroad staff!

What made my expeirence great was how caring and kind the staff members were. They always made sure to check up on us, and gave their numbers to us right away so we could communicate if there was any problems. The staff also were always very to happy to help us communicate with members of the public when there was language barriers, which helped us avoid a lot of problems. We also had a lot of freedom and they were willing to change the plans for us a lot.

The projects abroad team were all amazing and super helpful throughout the entire 2 weeks. The accommodation was also really good, especially in chitwan. The day plans were really well constructed, especially when we went to the hospitals.

Everyone was very welcoming, i felt right at home and i generally just fully enjoyed my trip. the projects abroad staff was very helpful and kind. i can’t wait to get another chance to come back to tanzania with projects abroad

I traveled to Córdoba, Argentina for a 2 week medicine program. It was a really fun experience and I got to learn a lot about medicine. I got to attend multiple surgeries and it was really exciting as doctors and surgeons were always welcoming and open to any questions. Although I was worried that my Spanish level would limit me from asking questions and participating it definitely didn’t. I was able to use a translator or ask coordinators for help, some of the doctors spoke English and were able to help me.i will admit, I was expecting a jot more time in the hospital but we got to do a lot of different things that made up for that. Through this trip I believe I have helped the Argentine community, we get to participate in campaigns promoting health and I believe I made a big impact. Overall this trip was very fun and I learned so much more about medicine and I was able to improve my Spanish significantly.
