**1 Star: A Warning to Anyone Considering Porcelanosa Reading**

One would reasonably expect that, when visiting Porcelanosa, a company that positions itself as an expert in the kitchen and bathroom industry, they would receive professional advice, guidance and expertise to help them make informed decisions when designing their bathroom. Unfortunately, my experience with the Reading branch has been the complete opposite.

The fundamental issue is that, when problems arise, Porcelanosa appears to retreat behind the argument that everything is a matter of personal choice and that the customer is simply responsible for whatever they select. This seems to be the position taken rather than accepting that customers visit a specialist showroom precisely because they expect professional expertise, guidance and advice. If customers are expected to make every decision independently, without meaningful professional input, it begs the question of what value the supposed expertise actually provides.

I was particularly taken aback by Jamie at the Reading branch stating that he had made only one mistake in 30 years. Having subsequently spoken with his manager, Richard, I was equally disappointed to encounter the same underlying position: that advice and guidance are not really part of the equation and that responsibility ultimately rests with whatever the customer chooses.

This is an incredibly disappointing attitude from a company operating at this end of the market. Customers are not simply purchasing individual products. They are relying on the experience of the people selling them those products to help ensure that the choices they make are appropriate and that the overall result is fit for purpose.

What has disappointed me most is not simply the issue I have encountered, but the complete lack of customer care and the apparent unwillingness to take a constructive, long-term view of the customer relationship and work towards a reasonable resolution. Rather than demonstrating a genuine desire to resolve the situation, the approach taken has left me feeling that the company is more interested in defending its position than addressing the customer's concerns.

**I would strongly advise anyone considering using Porcelanosa to think very carefully before committing to a purchase.** In my experience, the level of customer service and support has fallen significantly short of what one should reasonably expect from a specialist retailer of this kind.

Porcelanosa has permanently lost me as a customer. I will also be making my experience known to friends and family who are considering purchasing kitchens or bathrooms. Indeed, I have already spoken to two people who had been in discussions with Porcelanosa and who have subsequently decided to take their business elsewhere after hearing about my experience.

That is the consequence of how this situation has been handled. A company may be able to make a sale, but the way it treats customers when something goes wrong determines whether those customers ever return and whether they recommend the business to others.

In my case, Porcelanosa has failed on that front completely. I would not use them again, and based on my experience with the Reading branch and the subsequent response from management, I cannot recommend them to anyone looking for a company that genuinely values its customers.

We purchased a custom kitchen and custom bar as well as tile for our new home in France but through the Atlanta showroom. We have worked with the sales rep Iricelis Patino in Atlanta on several projects and she assured me that going through her she would make sure our project would live up to the quality I was used to. Iri assured me that the Porcelanosa european office worked as a team with them. However, things went south when it was time for install. Iri has hardly been in contact with us to make matters worse. We managed to contact Porcelanosa USA president, Manuel Prior, when Iri was MIA and he gave us his word that he would see our project through. However, 3 months later we are stuck with damaged wood, damaged tile and very bad carpentry and Porcelanosa has been paid (you have to pay in advance before they deliver). We have sent pictures to prove that the workmanship was completely inadequate but have just been met with silence. My advice to others. Do not trust what Porcelanosa say. Especially the Atlanta office since that was where my project started. Iri is a lovely person but when problems arise, she goes hiding.

Very disappointing experience with Porcelanosa’s sales and aftersales teams.

I purchased 14 boxes of Japan Blanco tiles through a distance purchase. During the sales process, I was told by telephone that the tiles were in stock, and the salesperson’s email suggested he might be able to borrow stock to arrange an immediate delivery.

The tiles arrived on 5 October. After realising the dimensions were unsuitable for my bathroom, I requested a return on 6 October - just one day later. All 14 boxes remain unused and in their original packaging.

Porcelanosa refused the return, relying on a signed “special order” form. I acknowledge signing it, but these were standard tiles, with no bespoke dimensions, cutting or personalisation requested.

What has been particularly frustrating is that, when I questioned why the tiles were classified as a special order, Aftersales simply repeated that I had signed the form without substantively addressing my concern.

I expected a clear explanation and a constructive effort to resolve the issue. Instead, I have had to repeatedly challenge the refusal and raise my statutory cancellation rights. The matter remains unresolved.

My advice to other customers: ask for written clarification of the product’s order classification and return conditions before paying, even where stock availability is discussed.

Nous avons acheté la totalité de notre salle de bains, vasque double , robinetterie , baignoire et même le carrelage .Pas d'installation par le magasin. Nous avons commencé à avoir un souci avec la bonde de fond d'une des vasques, les deux mécanismes ne sont pas identiques et la bonde de fond ferme mal, au service après vente : aucune solution . Le meuble sous vasque était bancal, il manque manifestement un pied au milieu dessous, on nous bricole un bout de bois pour remettre le meuble à niveau!! Au bout de 4 ans, la cartouce "céramique" d'un robinet casse et fuit. Service après vente inexistant, pas de pièces, pas de personnel. On commande une cartouche,, 15 jours de délais et cher , souci ; il faut une clé spéciale , introuvable dans le commerce , pour démonter le cache , clé que l'on voit dans la notice démontage , mais on vous en propose une autre à 25 € ,qui , pour les avoir essayées, seront inefficaces...Donc un magasin à éviter, ils vendent du matériel espagnol , et ne disposent de rien sur place. Même mon robinet d'il y a 4 ans n'existe plus. Si je devais en venir à changer les 2 robinets , j'irais chez Castorama, mes robinets de salle de bains d'il y a 32 ans fonctionnent toujours parfaitement et on retrouve le modèle...déplorable

I purchased a bathroom suite from Porcelanosa, expecting the quality and longevity you would associate with a premium brand. Unfortunately, after only two years, all three of the door hinges have broken.

I contacted Porcelanosa’s aftersales service on two occasions. I was told that there is no guarantee on the hinges and that, if I wanted to replace them, I would need to purchase three new hinges.

What I find particularly disappointing is that Porcelanosa themselves confirmed that these hinges are made to a high standard and should last a long time. If that is the case, it is difficult to understand how three hinges on a bathroom suite that is only two years old can all fail, yet the customer is simply expected to pay for replacements.

I have also researched the expected lifespan of this type of hinge, and indications are that they should last considerably longer — potentially around 20 years. Even IKEA, whose products are positioned at a much lower price point, offers a 25-year guarantee on many of its hinges.

I chose Porcelanosa because I believed I was paying for quality, durability and better customer service. Unfortunately, my experience has been the opposite. The fact that all three hinges have failed after just two years raises serious questions about their durability, and the response from aftersales has left me extremely disappointed.

For a premium bathroom brand, I expected much better support and accountability when a component fails prematurely.

I thought I was buying quality. Sadly, my experience with both the product and the aftersales service has not lived up to that expectation.
