Didn't relize this is on my doorstep.. how fab a lovly... well kept..clean and beautiful little gem in the mountains...

I went just to camp...

Everything soo clean... well maintained and the views are fantastic.

I will be back...

As an owner of a site ,it works well but it does encourage reviews, which are often annoying!
We have a small site a dozen pitches, so cannot offer what a large site can. Customers expect all singing and dancing facilities which we don’t have,! very rural site on Kielder Forest.
So if you run a small park and are doing ok, don’t use pitchup

whole site crashed during payment, had to book directly with campsite, then two hours later payment went through again on Pitch up, so i paid twice, tried to contact you guys, but all it does it put me in touch with the owners, who said they would give me the cash, but they were not on site, not great to be honest

Simple, clair, efficace

We have just spent two amazing nights a this little gem
Very friendly from the minute you arrive
Beutiful setting pub on site with outdoor area Big screen for events but not noisy.
We dont have grandchildren yet but its perfect for families Very safe
A park area and a few goats
Close to Alton Towers
Weve been three times
We are half an hour from home but could be miles away
Cant wait to go back 😄

I loved pitch up ,zero problems , great sites , all my bookings were last minute, all were great. I traveled in a large motor home. Would use again and again.
Anyone thinking or hiring a motor home, do not use Luna motor homes , so bad , nasty staff ,Nicola ( 2 faced ) particularly Peter Schmidt ( the owner. Dishonest and intimidating.

Easy to follow, good warning about no toilet facilities

We've used many times and will continue to use as it's a easy and informative site to find great sites

Pitch up system is not in sync with booking systems of camping sites. So you pay in advance and then campingsite send an e-mail with cancellation. Meanwhile you have lost your advance payment.

Can’t believe this so called dog friendly company has banned the nanny dog (Staffordshire Bull Terrier) from all its campsites, totally unacceptable as they are not a banned breed or dangerous is any way. I will NEVER use pitchup again!

Booked online and paid in full, cancelled 10 mins later and implied the refund would take up to ten working days. Also not refunded their 15% commission! Do not use unless you wan5 to lose money.

Booked Camping site through Pitchup.com on 29 April for a stay on 24 July. Pitchup never sent a cancellation email — we found out the booking had been cancelled only when we arrived at the site and were turned away. We spent a long time on the phone with Pitchup that same day, and they offered no alternative pitch and no help finding another place to stay. The deposit wasn't refunded and no explanation was given until the day AFTER our stay date had already passed — a "Deposit Refund Confirmation" email arrived on 25 July, a full day too late to matter, casually citing a group-size restriction as if that excused leaving us stranded with no warning and no support. No apology, no compensation. If Pitchup can't guarantee a booking, the least they owe customers is a cancellation notice before the due date — not silence, and not a refund that shows up after the damage is already done. I couldn't find any google review as well.

Another one of those sites that shows tons of options but when you really want to book the campsite is somehow full. Also cannot add that i am with a car so that backpack options are irrelant. Works very bad on mobile, no options to go back or to go home when your are in the 'funnel' (for a booking that cannot be made)
Pitty as they have a lot of campsites but i am done trying each and one of them when the info is not up to date .

Shocking online platform that openly permits people to leave false, fake and untruthful reviews which they allege does not breach their community guidelines
Do not use this platform, book with the sites directly
UPDATED 31st July - After providing photographs supporting our claim that the review left for our Camping & Caravan Park was untruthful and false Pitchup have agreed the customer's review was in fact in breach of their guidelines and that review has now been removed

Wir haben unseren Campingplatz ca. drei Wochen im Voraus über Pitchup gebucht und eine offizielle Bestätigung erhalten und eine Anzahlung geleistet. Noch am selben Tag der Anreise war im System absolut nichts von einer Stornierung zu lesen.
Als wir dann jedoch nach einer anstrengenden 17-stündigen Fahrt abends ankamen, hieß es plötzlich vor Ort, der Platz sei storniert worden und man verweigerte uns den Check-in. Der Campingplatz verwies uns an das Buchungsportal. Pitchup reagierte auf unsere Notlage erst, nach nachdem ich proaktiv eine Email geschrieben habe. Eine telefonische Erreichbarkeit war nicht gegeben. Nach einer Halben Stunde bekamen wir eine Mail mit einer Standard-Floskel, wonach in deren System angeblich alles in Ordnung sei – und danach kam trotz unserer Notlage absolut gar nichts mehr. Keine Hilfe und keine keine Rückmeldung obwohl man uns versicherte sich zügig zurück zu melden, wenn das Problem eruiert worden ist. Wir standen mit Kind, Hund und Wohnmobil in Südfrankreich da und mussten uns selbst kümmern und auf eigene Kosten einen anderen Platz suchen.
Der Kundenservice in einer solchen Stresssituation ist schlichtweg katastrophal und unzuverlässig. Wer hier bucht, läuft Gefahr, im Ernstfall komplett im Stich gelassen zu werden. Wir werden nie wieder über Pitchup buchen und können jedem nur dringend davon abraten. Bis heute hat sich nie wieder einer gemeldet. Mein Geld von der Anzahlung habe ich auch nicht wieder. Ich bekomme nur automatisierte E-Mails, das ich doch den Aufenthalt bewerten soll. Ein Desaster!
