Phillips Solicitors was established in 1986. Brain Chase Coles Solicitors was established in 1995. Both firms merged on 1 February 2020. The merger was an important step towards our goal of building the region’s strongest dynamic, full-service law firm, whilst maintaining the traditional values that both firms were built on. In 2021, Phillips acquired Henley’s Solicitors. In 2022, we became Phillips Law.

Sale and purchase of property.
We recently moved house and Lisa Rigby handled both the sale and purchase for us. In all honesty I don’t think we could have made the move without Lisa. Our new property comes with a complicated (but fair) management agreement and Lisa smoothed out the bumps, had all our questions answered and was generally strong and patient enough to see the process through to completion. We are delighted with the outcome and can thoroughly recommend Lisa at Phillips Law. Ps Their rates are excellent too… cheaper than the estate agents fees!

Finding myself in an unwanted employment situation, I was put in touch with Jacqueline Kendal. Jacqui was superb. Helpful, insightful and razor sharp. She was always supportive and made me feel confident and hopeful.

Trust and Support at a difficult time.
At a difficult time of loosing a loved one, all the staff were supportive and compassionate but also totally professional. They co-ordinated the smooth process of achieving probate and conveyancing between departments. Our confidence with this company also lead us and family members to produce new wills and powers of attorney during the same period. We as a family were kept updated and informed at all times throughout the 9 month process. A special mention to Sian Lias and her assistants, with whom we had most dealing.

Not a client, but called and received a call back with great service. Kelly was amazing and understanding and listened to everything I said and answered all my questions, which as assured me going forward. I would say to anyone use this Law Company, these are number 1 in my opinion, and if you manage to get Kelly that would be a bonus for you. Because the service she provided to me was second to none.

House Sale - 5*
I recently used Phillips when selling my house. Jon Coles was my solicitor but Catherine Killeen was my main contact throughout. Catherine kept me regularly updated about the progress of the sale and was always very prompt in answering any questions I had. There was never any pressure put on me, everything was done at the pace I was comfortable with. Overall it was a great experience. Who said moving house was stressful?? Thanks Catherine and Jon.

Excellent and friendly service.
The assistance given in arranging the LPA's was clear fully comprehensive and understandable. The staff member concerned, Sian Lias was very helpful and spent plenty of time explaining the details of the LPA to both myself, my wife and the other Attorneys. All of our questions were answered fully and we all came away from the meeting understanding the process and the responsibilities of the LPA. We have confidence in the company as we have used them before as have other members of the family. We cannot praise Sian highly enough for her help in this matter.

Great experience with Sian Lias
We dealt with Sian Lias with regard to drawing up our wills and general advice with regard to inheritance tax. She was great to work with, being very knowledgeable, and also very friendly. I'd recommend her to anybody in a heart beat.
