I wish I could give no stars

I have ordered 2 twist and lock parrot bowls as my too has suddenly decided to throw her food and water. Every time I go to retrieve the bowls ive attacked and bitten.
(I explained this to the owner)
I had called twice as no confirmation email had been sent. He would not even look for my order.
I asked if its next day delivery once dispatched (i paid express) he kept avoiding the question.
I said if the conformation was not received I would call the bank for fraud as he would not supply what is required by law.
He told me he is a busy man I said I was too but work for a charity ..... he went completely mad screaming about making money off birds ect
I jumped in and explained I give my time to the homeless and i would leave a review. He soon changed his tune but went on to tell me I was sad as only sad people leave reviews. He made me cry!
What an absolutely horrible man with no customer service skills i wont be giving him anymore of my money ever.
I will also take this further as no company should take there stress out on their customers

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE! I spent hundreds of pounds on the cage, arrived very poor quality. They claim their own brand cages are very good quality but actually it is no where near good quality. The bars are bend with sharp edges, claiming it normal and it wont hurt the birds. The bar spacing doesnt match the description which is very important because smaller birds can fit through and get their heads stuck. Very poor customer service, they are very good at blaming the manufacturer, claiming all cages arrive like this and refuse to return because its not a faulty. Its you unsatisfied with the purchase. Imagine spending hundreds on a cage that is unusable for the parrot and cant get a return for the poor quality cage. They guy on the phone is unhelpful and will try everything to say its not their problem its yours. I had to consult citizen advice and legal letters to push for some answers. Never will i buy from here again. Northern parrots is much better.

I’m really shocked to see that you feel the need to write this review even though the cage in question was purchased from us over 14 months ago and you apparently purchased a parrot cage but didn’t need to use the cage for until 14 months later (A lie) and the cage in question was a Liberta cage so it wasn’t our own brand cage like you claim, and we have no legal obligation whatsoever when the item has been in your possession for over 14 months so unless you have also lied to citizens advice bureau about the length of time the item has been in your possession for they would have told you this, also no legal letters from you like you have claimed in your review (another lie)

And Northern Parrots is great if you want to pay a couple of hundred pounds more for the exact same cage!

There is nothing wrong with the service that you received from us you just choose to say something was wrong 14 months after purchase and you never did say what the issue was?

Honestly some people are really deluded!

Avoid at any cost. 🚫🚫🚫I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. Horrible experience. Paid £8 for an express delivery. I recieved the goods over 2 weeks after placing the order. When I went to return the goods for a refund I were told that I will be paid only the amount for the goods with no £8 for the express delivery I paid to them plus additional £5 to sent the goods back to them. Discusting and rude behaviour going back n forth on the emails with them.

Sadly there was a slight delay due to a courier issue in delivery the item to your address and when the item was delivered to your address you changed your mind after purchase and returned the item, sadly sometimes it’s out of our control but we did contact the courier to make sure the parcel was still en route to you and was reassured it was.

Where do I start!!!

Where do I start? Terrible experience from start to finish. Lied to about the cage I wanted being in stock. Had to wait for them to get it in.
Arrived damaged beyond belief, every piece was bent and out of shape.
Hassle to get it collected for a refund.
And then hassle to actually receive the refund. I was spoken to with disrespect, called a liar and belittled.
Would not recommend this company at all. Definitely wished I had read the reviews before even thinking about placing an order!!!!

Can’t reply their reply but yet more lies!!
I sent pictures the same day of the damage and no we didn’t steal anything off the cage, how pathetic, I could have predicted you would say something along those lines.

I was really hoping that we could have left everything there but that fine we will continue with going down the money claim route for the item what you returned.

Let’s just explain to everyone who is reading this review and break down the few points / claims what you have made.

You purchased the Liberta Cambridge Cage In Stone and contacted us by phone before purchasing the item and it was explained to you that the Liberta cages come from a supplier which we have two orders a week from them so we don’t always have them at hand to be dispatched that same day ( we don’t have to explain ourselves about this process but your obviously very petty and made claims that we lied which is ridiculous we have no reason to persuade anyone to buy a cage from us)

When the item was delivered to your address you claimed that the item was damaged and took several days to send us the photos of the “damage” when you finally got round to sending them we instructed the same courier to collect the item from your address which can take a few days for them to arrange this while this was all in motion you literally contacted us every day sometimes numerous times a day even arguing and making threats your partner shouting in the background (I’ll drive up there and knock his head off) you was told we are open 6 days a week so plenty of time for you to visit!!

A few days later

When the courier collected the item from your address they themselves check the item for the claimed damages before it is returned back to us a few days later, every day that the item was with the courier on it’s returned journey back to us you continued to contact us by phone to ask when a refund would be processed you certainly didn’t listen to us when we attempted to explain the process several times and again became abusive and said you were going to do a chargeback claim and we said that will only result in delays in processing a refund or a possible Money claim that we will do against you.

When the item was delivered back to us by the courier it was checked all over and fully assembled with no issues found whatsoever, the only thing that you didn’t return was one of the metal swing out feeder doors, so it looks like you created this whole facade just to STEAL a part off a cage which all makes sense really why you was in such a rush to push through the return and refund process.

We was willing to leave it there but up came this review so now we will be doing a money claim against you for the full amount of the cage and the return costs

Ordered a cage from here didn’t arrive…

Ordered a cage from here didn’t arrive although I had a delivery date and time.
Just been told they still have it at their shop and it’s not even left.
Terrible customer service
Asked for a refund and will never order from here again.

My order was placed on 30 th January and
I spoke to you on the phone on the 4th February after receiving a email from
The courier delivery 3rd February between 8am and 18.00 pm the day it was supposed to be delivered,about my order and was told it was on its way, you then sent an email saying you would contact the delivery company and find out where it was. The next call I made I was told it was still in your warehouse. YOU EXPLAIN THIS? Why would you say I will call the courier if you know it’s still in your warehouse. Lies.You then emailed me telling me it would be delivered Friday because the courier hadn’t even picked it up.
After reading other reviews about deliveries not turning up or being late this seems to be a common problem with you, so let’s not lay the blame on your customers and take accountability yourselfs

Let me just point out the facts here because your review is lacking vital basis,

1) You placed a order for the Atlanta play top parrot cage 3rd February at 22:46 and expected the item to be delivered to you the very next day which is ridiculous and we are not Amazon!!

2) looking at our call logs from this morning (5th February) I can see you attempted to call the shop phone number at 08:06am when it clearly states our opening times / acceptance of calls on our website no earlier than 11am due to us being extremely busy preparing orders.

3) Later 5th February at approximately 1pm you called the shop phone number and it became apparent that all you wanted to do is argue so we asked you if you would like a refund several times and in a childish manner said “Yes” and then hung up, we had to call you back to confirm this because how you abruptly hung up.

To Summarise

Petty buyer who doesn’t pay any attention to the terms and conditions what they agreed to at the point of purchase and doesn’t follow any rules and acts shocked when these are pointed out to them on the phone.
***A full refund has been processed***

enquired and order got cancelled

Placed an order yesterday , received a message to say payment failed however order said processing and my account was debited , so sent an email to check if everything was okay and got no response , sent another email asking again and low an behold 8 hours later I received a reply saying that Im obviously in a rush so they cancelled my order, who in today’s world isn’t in a rush , all I asked is if my order was all okay and instead got my order cancelled and refunded , now I need to find someone else to get the order delivered before Christmas,

Sadly if your order wasn’t placed successfully and funds haven’t been received the order will not go ahead,

I believe the failed order attempt could be down to the 3D secure where your bank either sends you a text or app approval link to make sure it’s you placing the order this only gives you a 5 minute window to verify and if you don’t do this in time it will fail.

Or it can be because of insufficient funds in your account.

Each bank is different and all websites must have the 3D secure by law to keep you safe and secure online.

Problem Resolved

I have bought items from this seller over a two year period, and they were always quite helpful.
This latest experience was not quite as straightforward, but I understand the items have now been sent out, so thank-you. They always used to send email order confirmation too, but not this time.
Hopefully the delayed dispatch was a one off, though because of my recent critical review, they do not want my custom again anyway.
I wish them well.

I have to say I was very worried…

I have to say I was very worried reading these comments after putting a cage order in.
I had no trouble with delivery ordered Wednesday, here Friday morning to central Scotland.
I did have trouble ordering toys with the cage or to take the toy order and no confirmation email but email them and their email the next morning to confirm they had my order I think website might need an update but I'm very happy with my purchase and the time it took to get here was amazing the instructions are not great but with the Facebook pictures I got it built my bird is very happy and that's all that matters

Bought a parrot cage for my african…

Bought a parrot cage for my african grey and a selection of toys. They were very helpful and there wasn't anything you could ask for that they didn't have. When opening the cage I found the seed tray damaged rather badly, I sent photos to explain. The reply was " you must have done it yourself, either Treding on it or damaging it in transit myself" after a few phone calls they got very rood and told me not to come to the shop again as I was banned. Is this what you call customer service. Obviously I won't be going again.

I bought a large cage for my Macaw

I bought a large cage for my Macaw, the delivery was fast, but they didn't tell me it was coming today and there was no tracking number. Right now I'm very happy because my Macaw now has a cage that's twice the size of the old one. It was a lot of work to assemble it by myself but in the end I managed it... Thanks....

Couldn’t praise these guys enough

Couldn’t praise these guys enough. As a new parrot owner I needed advice and they took time to help explain absolutely everything even though they were very busy. There are so many options available cage wise and so many toys to pick from. This place is a parrot heaven and the staff there have so much experience and it shows. 10/10 for pricing, customer service and the care taken to help. I will be back very soon. Highly recommended.

This place is just amazing. We found everything we needed for our parrot and would definitely recommend Parrot Supplies. The staff were very friendly and helped with anything we needed. This is where we will be coming for anything we need for our parrot.

I recently purchased 2 parrot cages from Parrot Supplies, and I’m happy to say the products are fantastic—exactly as described, high quality, and worth every penny. The supplier was responsive when I reached out, showing a real commitment to customer service.
There was a bit - a lot actually - of confusion with delivery, as the courier left the package with someone else without informing me, which led to unnecessary stress. However, once I got everything sorted, I received the products well wrapped and in perfect condition.
Overall, I’m pleased with my purchase and the supplier’s support.

Terrible customer service.

We’ve been regular customers of Parrot Supplies for the past couple of years, consistently ordering food, toys, cages and Java stands for our parrot and spending a significant amount over that time. Sadly, our most recent experience has been extremely disappointing.

Not only were we forced to wait an unreasonably long time for the large order to arrive—thanks to the notoriously unreliable courier the company insists on using—but when the order finally turned up, the parrot food was incorrect and in fact not what we had ordered at all.

Thinking that it was the same product due to the similar packaging, we opened it—only to discover it was something completely different, and our parrot refuses to eat it.

When we contacted Parrot Supplies we expected at least a helpful or understanding response. Instead, we were met with complete dismissal. Despite the mix-up being on their end, they refused to help, facilitate a return, or send the correct item.

We understand that mistakes happen. But the lack of accountability or care—especially after two years of loyal custom—is really disheartening.

We’re posting this to let fellow pet owners know: if something goes wrong, you may find yourself on your own. We genuinely hope Parrot Supplies reflects on how they treat their customers going forward but by looking at some of these reviews, customer care clearly isn’t in their priority.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I purchased a cage from these online then I was sent an email saying they had put the costs up and wanted more money. I said no I purchased it at that price from your website. I then got a phone call from the owner who had gave me a lot of abuse over the phone as I asked for my money back. I’ve received a load of text messages harassing me and phoning me.

This morning I have liaised with our packaging team and have asked for more information about this,

You placed the order via our website during the morning 1/4/2025 for a large parrot cage, our packaging team followed the normal procedure in attempting to book in your order with the pallet courier (bare in mind this is a very large parrot cage and can only be delivered via a pallet courier service)

James who is our packaging manager attempted to book this in with the courier but was told that the delivery address is blacklisted and they no longer deliver to that address,

James then attempted to contact you Angela via your mobile but you didn’t answer and it went to voicemail so a email was then sent to you.

You then contacted James on his private number at 19:32 in the evening whilst he was out and not during work hours because close of business on this day was 3pm so around 4 hours after the close of business,

During this phone conversation you attempted to blackmail him into still sending you the item or you would leave negative reviews and when he told you it’s not possible you made homophobic remarks to the way he sounded on the phone, then hung up.

10 minutes later a withheld number then called James and more threats were made by your partner which was recorded, your partner tried to intimidate James by saying he was going to visit the warehouse to see him tomorrow 2/4/2025, your partner also said that he was going to break into one of our warehouses and steal in his words “he would take things whether we are there or not”

There is no need for this sort of behaviour you purchased a item and you were refunded for that item 2 hours after purchasing it, we know we are the cheapest retailer of parrot cages in the Uk but blackmailing us into getting what you want is ridiculous.

How are you supposed break the news to a customer that the only reason why the pallet courier won’t deliver to your addresses is because it’s a blacklisted property (they have had trouble with this particular address before)
