I am a first time customer of Montefortuna. I placed two separate orders in early August 2022 (on 4th and 12th) and my experience has been mixed. Whilst I eventually received all my cigars (approx 80 cigars in total), and in good condition, it took over 6 weeks from the date of placing my first order for the cigars to arrive. Whilst I appreciate there are some things that are outside Montefortuna’s control (like customs issues), and they were prompt with responding to my queries about shipping delays, setting better expectations for their customers is needed. For that reason, I don’t know if I would order from them again. As I said, this was my first time ordering from Montefortuna, so maybe this was a one off issue. Ultimately, my cigars arrived and in good condition and that’s what really matters at the end of the day. Even if my cigars had not arrived, for added piece of mind, they do offer guaranteed delivery provided you meet certain conditions, which are detailed on their website.

I have to say that I’ve never had a bad experience with this company. Everything that I have ordered has come through without any problems in a timely fashion. Thank you so much for everything.

Service does not take 24 48 hrs. By agreeing to terms and conditions it can take 15 days to process order from warehouse and then still more time for postage. Order can not be cancelled. Do yourself a favour. Go direct to Davidoff.

Montefortuna is a very reliable source for Cuban cigars. Mark from their customer service team has been extremely helpful to me regarding some issues I had with an order. He more than made it right. All my orders from them have arrived quickly and in great condition.

Shipment was never delivered, I had to beg them for a refund then tried to apply a penalty that I had to explained did not apply to my order, still waiting for the funds since they said it will take 5 to 10 days,funny since I can refund my customers instantly when needed.

I’ve ordered from here a few times now. Had an issue with me previous order in which the wrapper was peeling. I contacted customer service and my problem was rectified quickly. I was contacted by Mark who quickly and easily sent out a replacement cigar with no issues. I will be ordering from Montefortuna in the future.

The last two orders were a disaster. I specifically informed to ship without a box. The one before the latest one came with a box. Paid custom fee and tax to get it out. Hassle and not what I wanted but it was possible they made a mistake.

With the last order, I informed them once again no box, yet the latest order came with a box. Montefortuna told me to send it back and they will see what they can do. No refund offered. I told montefortuna that custom will not send it back hence the specific instruction to ship without a box. Finally received a call from custom stating they will keep charging on the days the box is with them. Had to go get it out and paid custom and tax fee. Got home and found out the cigars were all moldy. Sent a pictures of all moldy cigar to them which was taken on the right side and left side of the box but they said they can detect 6 and later changed to 7 cigars. They offered a store credit for the 7 moldy cigars. All of them were moldy and the pictures proved that. They sent me their term and condition stating “ in case of damaged shipment, a visual proof must be sent not after 24h from the shipment arrival.” They said it’s been over 24h and they will issue a store credit as good gesture. I disagreed. If they didn’t mess up on my order instruction, I wouldn’t have to go through this. I better stick to my old vendor.

Maybe this transaction deserves 1 star review.
