thank you for your order and for your feedback.

As you confirm the order was placed on the 11th January 2020 and you purchased a buy one get one free deal for a 1kg tub of protein powder. You raised the issue yesterday 21st July 2020.

The tubs that we sent out to you were dated May 2020 and therefore had over 3 months left. We only advertise short-dated items once they are within 3 months of their best before/expiry date.

The recommended usage on the products we sell would mean that in most cases an item will be finished before the 3 months expiry/best before date. The item in your possession is no different.

Based on the suggested usage we would expect a consumer to complete the tub within a month therefore both tubs will have been consumed before the expiry date had passed.

We understand that goals and circumstances can change but if the customer is aware that they are not going to start using the item until later, as you have acknowledged in your review, or you will use it sporadically over a long period or you are looking to buy in bulk then we would always strongly advise that you contact us through live chat, email or phone and give us an opportunity to provide you with the dates. We will be more than happy to do so.

Hi Jack,
thank you for your order and feedback. Unfortunately due to the surge of orders for that product our stock system could simply not cope. We lowered the item down to £10 (usually £40) to clear out short dated stock and it became very popular in a very short space of time.

We apologised for the stock discrepancy and offered an explanation. I can see that you ordered on the 6th July at 23:47, we emailed you on the 7th July at 10:06 providing details of the out of stock and the order/payment was cancelled 7th July 10:07.

The money was not accepted by the company and was therefore in limbo with the payment provider so there would be no refund, the impression of the debit will be removed. Depending on the bank customers are with it can take a couple of working days for this process to go through.

We explained the reason why we had to cancel the order through the email sent to you on the 7th July. We apologised for any inconvenience caused and offered to send the rest of your order or if you wanted to select anything else from the late date section as an alternative.

We dropped the price of one of the items you bought to clear due to item being past best before date and unfortunately our stock system could not keep up with the demand and so we had a stock discrepancy

Again we would like to apologies for any inconvenience caused. The full refund was issued on the same day you advised us to cancel the full order.
