Staying independent for longer.

The application was simple to complete. It was tailored to suit my interests, such as craft activities. This automatically reduces the number of support workers to a select few to choose from.

'''' Despite my highly explicit job ads many applicants have no skills or tools for the job . I think Mable should be explaining things,more clearly to applicants

Large database and better standard of workers.

I have been using Mable to source out service providers for nearly ten years. They have quite a well thought app and a large database of applicants. The clients are all checked and ready for employment and compared to other agencies they have a better class of workers. Highly recommended.

It is ideal for self managing like myself. After things settle down,it becomes very routine and fit for purpose, as the weekly care worker hours are regular ,reliable, and makes managing your budget easy. Although there have been communication issues these are random and not very often with Mable getting better.It is an online platform,so staff should not be any issue. The app sometimes plays up ,however most of this issue is with the poor internet service from Telstra.

You charge too much on top of fees.

Great workers, but you take a big slice of the pie - too big. It reduces their hourly rate greatly and adds too much to the client. Also, contacting you is a nightmare.

Communication was not good

Communication was not good.
My cleaner left and for several months I still received notifications of her scheduled visit.
No other viable option was given for another cleaner.

It is all about empowerment

As someone who self manages a Support at Home Package, Mable means that we can employ the right people, to do the right job, for us! It puts the control back in our hands and means that the money that we are allocated for care, goes further.

Waste of time

Ridiculous service, no worker ever responds and the ones that do don't even have your required days free. So time consuming and I'd never do it again.p

I use mable so we can get the people we want - that is the only redeeming quality

I don't trust Mable or Homemade Support at all.

I am only with them because I get to choose my workers and invite the right people to support my mum.

They are not transparent with the TOTAL feels going to Mable, Homemade Support, Attain Healthtech and General Atlantic (their investor). They conveniently say 10% engagement fee for the worker.
Then the client pays 7.9% then the client pays Homemade support another 8% then the govt mandated fee of 10% - 36%.

i find my workers it is great and they all seam very helpfull the only thing i do say will need to have a cap on the working hours with mable so the prices dont go so high and also maybe have some sort of badge for the worker to say they are carers or workers that work for mable this will identify who they are with there name on it for security and safety of a client

Regarding booking support, you can mutually agree on a price with your support worker, taking into account government price guides for your funding type. All independent support workers on Mable must complete our verification process.
