Awful experience with the company today. I rang the company requesting to make the remaining of money i owe. I gave all the details but an employee refused to process the payment assuming someone else making the call, treating it as fraud. Absolutely Unacceptable experience

LINK FINANCIAL OUTSOURCING Ltd. Beware of this firm of debt collectors. They have been pursuing me relentlessly over a debt dating back to 2016 which is not acknowledged and is statute barred.
They send letters and phone relentlessly despite knowing that the debt is statute barred.
In an email dated 27th April this year they claimed that the account is not statute barred because a payment of £114.08 had been made on 16th January, 2023. This was a blatant and OUTRIGHT LIE.
I emailed their CEO, JOE MELTON on 12th May informing him that his staff had LIED TO ME IN WRITING but I received no response whatsoever.
I am 81 years of age living on benefits and these unscrupulous debt collectors are now threatening to send someone to my house to collect a debt which is not acknowledged and which is statute barred.
DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY."
UPDATE- 27th July 2018 - Received an unsigned 'DISPUTE FINAL RESPONSE LETTER' today repeating that a single payment was made in January 2023 without any evidence whatsoever. They intend to continue pursuing the debt. JOE MELTON, their CEO has been copied in to my response.

I have had an extremely disappointing experience dealing with this company. Despite clear evidence from multiple financial organisations confirming that my brother was the victim of identity fraud, they have repeatedly failed to engage with or properly investigate the complaint.

This matter has been ongoing since March and, as things stand, this is the only company that continues to report adverse information on my brother's credit file. Every other financial organisation involved has accepted the evidence and confirmed that he was the victim of identity fraud, yet this company has failed to properly investigate or take appropriate action.

My brother has a learning disability and is considered a vulnerable customer. At no stage has the company recognised or responded appropriately to his vulnerabilities, nor have they followed the expected standards for supporting vulnerable customers. Instead, they have continued to ignore the evidence and prolong the matter, causing unnecessary distress and continued damage to his credit record.

As a result, I have been forced to escalate the matter by submitting formal complaints to the Credit Services Association and the Financial Ombudsman Service, and I am now considering legal action and seeking compensation for the damage caused to his credit file and the impact on his mental health.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company. Customers should expect complaints involving identity fraud, particularly where a vulnerable customer is involved to be investigated thoroughly, handled fairly, and resolved without unnecessary delay.

This company’s handling of our case has been nothing short of appalling. Following the loss of a loved one, we spent months trying to settle an account, enduring repeated delays, poor communication, and a complete lack of empathy. Even after finally reaching an agreement and making payment, we repeatedly chased for confirmation that the payment had been received, yet no confirmation has been provided.

What happened next was even more distressing. Despite an ongoing complaint regarding their conduct throughout this case, the company sent a letter addressed directly to the deceased, using her full name. Dear NAMED….. we are dealing with your complaint - it isn’t the account holders complaint when she’s dead! No consideration was given to the impact this could have on a grieving family. For a widower to open such a letter was deeply upsetting and entirely avoidable especially given they were told not to address communications to the deceased on the envelope - we did not expect the letters enclosed to be addressed to her as if she’s still alive.

From the outset, the customer service has been unacceptable. We have had to continually chase for responses and updates at a time when we should have been allowed to focus on grieving, not battling for basic communication and respect. Throughout the entire process, there appeared to be little regard for the human circumstances involved and a singular focus on recovering money. We have been chased for money and in a letter it stated they’d like to get matters finalised, despite us being told there was a hold on the account whilst we waited for final funeral costs.

The lack of compassion, professionalism, and sensitivity shown has been shocking. Companies dealing with bereavement cases should be held to a far higher standard than this. Based on our experience, their conduct deserves investigation.
