I am absolutely appalled! I have been trying to get in touch with Kenwood Customer Service for about three weeks now, off and on, with no luck. I have rung several different numbers and gone through the rigmarole of trying to get to speak to someone, only to be put on hold for 15 - 20 minutes, listening to electronic muzak.
Alternatively I have been on their website, trying to find out how I contact them by text message or email. Nothing doing.
Today was the last straw: called a different number, which appeared to be a switchboard and joy of joys, it was answered by an actual person. Who told me I was calling the wrong number: there was a dedicated customer service number and I should call that number. No, she couldn't put me through, it was a different number. I pointed out what I have just written above, only to be told that (a) there was a web chat option (there isnt), or (b) that the person speaking to me didn't think my wait time was bad: she called argos the other day and was out on hold for 46 minutes! To say that she was unhelpful is a massive understatement.....

I AM ABSOLUTELY FURIOUS!!!!

To sell something that breaks after only two months of use is bad enough. To then not only have no recourse to any kind of contact, but to be told by a singularly unhelpful individual that there was nothing I could do about it.... well, words fail me.

I don't know whether Kenwood and its partners, de Longhi and Braun, have a Facebook page, but if they do I'd appreciate some feedback, please.

And for anyone else out there who reads this, don't buy from them and expect ANY level of customer service. You wont get it.

My kenwood American style fridge freezer is quite honestly the worst kitchen appliance I have ever bought.It’s still not 12 months old but I am again waiting for an engineer to repair the same fault which occurred about 4 months ago.
I bought extended warranty also but in view of the fact that a visit from an engineer takes over a week it’s certainly dreadful customer service.Avoid buying this appliance at all cost but especially from Currys.

I have honestly had nothing but exceptionally good experience with Kenwood DeLonghi customer service. They have replaced faulty goods free of charge and when I needed a new base unit for my food processor (within 12 months) bracket they replace this also free of charge. Amazing service! I really feel there aren’t many companies who are willing to please so much is this one. This is a totally totally totally honest review of my experience in using them within the last 12 months.

Crap fridge freezer they flood we have a freezer free but it freezes do yourself a favour stay away from kenwood

This is only because you can not give a zero rating purchased our Kenwood American style fridge freezer just about 2 years ago and our freezer has stopped working just like all of the other reviews. We also have a new washing machine purchased about a year ago again from Curry's this is also Kenwood this has also broken the bearings on the drum have gone and it will not spin. I have had this fixed as we have taken out an extended warranty on this. The fridge freezer was approx £760 and is now scrap. I think i will avoid Curry's in the future and look at other suppliers. I will also avoid Kenwood from now on.

A Currys only product , which is built in China under the brand name Hisense and sold as Kenwood in the UK. As you see these breakdown soon after the warranty is over, one year. AND you be struggling to get it fixed, if, they can e get the spare parts at all. AVOID like COVID19.
Mine is freezing the fridge compartment. A shame really as when work it was great, but scrap now after 18 months
One year on, I replaced the actuated air flap between fridge and freezer £35, fitted it and it has been operating reasonable since.

Do not buy kenwood fridge freezer. Mine is now 2 years old and from day 1 the noise is terrible.goes all day and night and the noise that bad I hear it through the bedroom wall. Currys sent engineer the first week,he said nothing mechanical wrong just some makes were noisier than others. I want to buy another but need 55inches wide and can't find any with good reviews for noise,any help,?

Don’t touch Kenwood American style fridge freezers!!! We’ve had ours for only 3 years and it’s completely knackered. Had an engineer come out who said the compressor and circuit board had gone, also mentioned that Kenwood make Food mixers not fridges. Tried to call Kenwood but not interested and Curry’s were useless. Out of principle wont be buying Kenwood again or purchasing from Curry’s as their customer service was useless, didn’t expect to have an auto replacement but would have been nice to have had the fault recognised. Purchased a Samsung with a 5 year warranty from Argos as a replacement, last one was a Samsung and this lasted significantly longer.

Don't touch this American style fridge freezer a total piece of junk broke down a week out of warranty, contacted Currys no help at all asked if they could fix it as a act of good faith told me no chance.wouldn't send a repair engineer out as i didn't have a extended warranty I wish I had read all the reviews before purchasing this piece of crap, the engineer that I eventually found said it wasn't worth repairing the motor to small to power the appliance.

Horrendous product quality. Spent £330 on Kenwood fridge freezer (KENWOOD - KNFD60B17 60/40 Fridge Freezer) and it has stopped working almost 2 years to the day that we bought it. The warranty is only 1 year. Just like everyone else on here the repair would cost almost as much as a new fridge. This is the last time I will ever buy a Kenwood product. I would advise any prospective buyer to so the same. They are clearly made with major deficiencies in terms of longevity over 18 months to 2 years. You would expect at least 5 years of trouble free usage.

I had had my kenwood American fridge freezer for 16 months when it started making an awful noise, almost like it was about to take off! Not very happy at all

Kenwood American fridge freezer. Absolutely rubbish. Exactly the same problem as everyone else, freezer broke after 15 months, wasn’t freezing properly and yucky black stuff started to appear! curry’s wanted £280 to fix the cowboys. I was so angry. Luckily there is hope! I googled how to fix the problem ourself and found step by step instructions with pictures on how to fix ourself with the option the buy the part we needed for £32. After many years with a Bosch dishwasher came a new home and decided to upgrade to an integrated unit. We decided on the Kenwood KID60B14, believing Kenwood to be an established British manufacturer of 'quality' goods and at least 'on par' with Bosch.
Unfortunately the 'Made in China' label made my heart sink a little and some while later feel it was justified as the quality is way below that expected. The main problem is the baskets as these have corroded through making one unusable in less than 5 years (Less than 4 in use due to new kitchen installation), as the jockey wheels are on the corroded bits. (The old Bosch was 8 years young and had no such issues).
Again in comparison to the Bosch, The whole unit is much flimsier, which doesn't give the impression of a quality product.
The baskets are available as replacements but cost wise, to replace all 3 would be best part towards a new unit! ...... but wont be Kenwood next time!

Got mine 3 years plus now .all was fine from beginning but then slowly last year started frost food in fridge then defrost started changing temperature etc start using home remedies with help a bit and today when I opened fridge coming out such a unpleasant smell I checked all food all if fine all closed in packages etc . Did anyone have a clue what's happening?I can't fine anything wrong with food . I search in the internet but can't find anything either what's happening?will be nice if anyone knows what's happening it's broken?

Kenwood fridge freezer utter waste of money. 6 months in it stopped producing water through the filter then after a year the ice packed up tried everything to get it fixed With no luck and struggled to find someone to come take a look at it! It’s now 3 year old it’s stop freezing and defrosted everything. Troubleshooted but no change! Time for a new fridge freezer and I would never buy Kenwood again!

Kenwood american fridge freezer ksbsdix16, three and a half years old and already the freezer has packed up, do they not make things to last anymore, paid over £700 from Curry's, be warned these things aren't what they're meant to be, this is my second American fridge freezer and that one couldn't be repaired.

American fridge freezer, less than 2years old purchased from curry’s, Ice compartment motor has stopped working and all sorts of noises and banging coming from the freezer itself, as the others have wrote I would steer very clear from Kenwood fridge freezers, LG is the way forward like our old fridge freezer, we were drawn in by the price of this Kenwood, but that’s really been reflected in its substandard quality and reliability. Poor show Kenwood

This is a dreadful company, just don't bother buying a mixer from them, it's not worth the bother.

I am in the shielding group and bought a Kenwood Kmix, the first time using it the cheap plastic rign holding the jug/bowl in place broke.....three months later I am STILL waiting for a replacment under the warranty. Customer service dept' have lied to me on w weekly basis.....sometimes three times in one conversation. They couldn't care less that they have sold a substandard item and have no intention of offering a solution........you are better off buying a cheaper version from an online auction site.

My American style fridge freezer’s freezer compartment stopped working. 20 months old. Tried to phone Currys and got through after 25 minutes to a dodgy phone line which then died. Tried again..25 mins later I got through to a human voice. She said she’d have to transfer me...then it went dead. I then spent a lot of time looking on the internet for a Kenwood voice to talk to. This was another waste of time. The fridges are sold uniquely by Currys , who are the only people contactable ( or not!) in the event of breakdowns.
Day 2: Tried again . Got through after 23 minutes. Explained that line would probably go dead so asked chap to take my number and call me back if we got cut off. He did so and said he would. It did go dead and I never heard from him again.
Nice.
Day 3: thought I’d try again. Then thought life’s too short. So I didn’t.
Today: review time. If anyone from Kenwood would like to contact me then I’d be pleased ( and surprised ) to hear from you. I’m on 07962240211.
Your product is shocking. Your customer service non existent. Scandalous really if you think about it...

I bought a Kenwood American style Fridge Freezer three years back. It has been giving me problems from about 15 months. Unless you have paid extra insurance the customer services is really poor. I was offered a repair with a 12 month guarantee for a problem that looks like a design fault. I have then found out these units although having the name of Kenwood are manufactured exclusively for Currys and are of poor quality. I would advice you to take a 5 year cover if you do buy as they are competitively priced.
