Totally irresponsible banking ethics. After banking with them for 25 years, I just receive an email...not through secure email...saying my bank account will be closed....one line, no explanation. I called the Premier help desk, who could give me no explanation as to why. Two days after I receive another email, stating that they have received my request to close my account.....I never requested this!!!!, advising that I had 7 days to sort out alternative banking. By the end of that same day, my bank account was closed, my cards blocked, no access to my Internet banking and my money gone. My visit to the bank was absolutely useless, a lot of sorries and we understand, but no explanation as to why this happened, no option to get cash to get me through and just a we will send you a cheque....no commitment as to when this will arrive. All in all SHAME ON YOU HSBC....YOU ARE A JOKE NOT A FINANCIAL PARTNER

We are extremely frustrated with the current situation regarding our account services. Your mobile application does not allow us to generate an IBAN certificate or customise an up-to-date bank statement—features that are readily available and easily accessible with other banks.
Additionally, we contacted your customer service team and were informed that the requested documents would be processed within three working days. It's now five days, and we haven't received the bank statement by email yet.
This delay and lack of functionality are highly inconvenient and do not meet reasonable expectations for banking services.

And I m very happy with the service and extra efforts showed by Mr. Sunil to solve my online banking problem.
As I was suffering online banking problem from past 6month but Mr Sunil took it inesetive and done it I appreciate for his work as well for HSBC bank.

Never open or bank statements in HSBC. I have been chasing them for required support on an urgent matter related to local transfer within the UAE and I keep getting the same message. 3-5 days. When 5 days passed they were telling me oh no the weekends days do not count. In conclusion zero customer focus. What a disgrace. I also bank with ENBD and they are simply amazing. Shame on you HSBC.
Just moved to Dubai from UK
Just moved to Dubai from UK. Thought these guys would be decent as they’re a name back home. Man was I wrong, it’s been over a month of me trying to get a credit card from them and it’s still not sorted. System failures, branch managers not knowing what to do, emails not being answered. It’s a simple ask to get a credit card but they just can’t do it. I’ve been introduced to 3 different customer service people. The furthest I got was sending all my required documents and then I got ghosted. I called so many times but there is no notes or anything on file. The only reason I wanted to go there as they offer a pretty decent credit card you can’t find anywhere else called the Live Credit Card. But it’s been a painful experience trying to even get an answer. Best bet to go with Emirates NBD or another one. If this is them trying to get you started I can only imagine what it’s like when you’re with them.

Very disappointing experience with HSBC…
Very disappointing experience with HSBC customer service. I recently spent around 35 minutes on a phone call trying to resolve a simple issue, but nothing was actually resolved.
During the call, I was asked to complete voice verification seven times, which was extremely frustrating and time-consuming. Even after completing the verification multiple times, the agent finally told me that the verification was still not completed.
What made the experience worse is that when I said I was ready to close my account because of this poor service, I was again told that voice verification was required just to proceed with account closure. This feels like unnecessary harassment rather than customer support.
HSBC seriously needs to improve their customer service efficiency and verification process. This was a very stressful and disappointing experience

Terrible fraud resolution team
Terrible fraud resolution team. 3500 AED fraud on my account, has taken over 10 months in dispute resolution. After half a dozen emails and calls, they finally admit they have lost the whole dispute and suggest that I start the process again, with an expected resolution time of 180 days. Insane.

They don’t allow me to spend my own money because “I reached the limit”. I paid for my vacation 20000 aed and I’m not allowed to pay at the restaurant even after calling them because they say they cannot increase the limit. Is not the first time that happened but is sure the last time that I’ll use HSBC. horrible experience

Customer service and lots of ads
Expect all your airtime credit to be wasted. If they dont pick they should just make the phone number toll free.

It takes 30 to 40 mins to reach customer care. And when agent picks up, they say their tool is not working and will forward to automated system to connect to another agent and it's a loop.
Come on guys, don't scam us.
I tried to close the credit card 3 weeks before my annual fee, and HSBC agent called me (only when they need they will call us :)), and assured that the fee will be reversed for a other year. They mentioned that I just need to call the CS to request for fee reversal. Now, I am unable to raise that request as I am deliberately kept on the loop as I explained above.
It's a pethatic service and unethical practice.
If they ever attend, I am going to close the card once and for all.
For those who out there, if CS calls you to not cancel the card by giving false promises of fee reversal, then expect this pain.. I feel it's not worth it.

Worst bank ever! They never pick your calls. I have been trying to contact HSBC since 2 weeks. And each call is for 20-25 mins and still no answer. I have lost around 300 dhs only on calls. Because I'm working in offshore.
