The 2 delivery drivers were excellent today, 2 really nice guys. Installed my mattress really quickly and took the rubbish away with them. Their names were Jak and Dave.

The staff in the office & warehouse need to go on a complete training course on customer service. I ordered two sets of pans at £99 each. A previously used batted delivery box arrived & they had only sent one set! I rang them immediately only to get someone that said “We will have to check our stock in the stockroom & I would have to wait for the warehouse staff to check. I suggested what she should have said was “Sorry to hear that, I will look into this for you” told her that the delivery box measured 32cm in height & the height of the pan box was 22cm so it was impossible that they had sent two sets. She came back & said that there stock was correct & that the warehouse staff remembers putting two in the box. I said impossible, there wasn’t room for two sets, she repeated again & said that there stock was correct falling short of calling me a liar. She said she wanted proof as she could not believe what I said over the phone. She also asked me if I had opened the box, I said of course because I wanted to unpack my purchases! I sent photographs showing the measurements of the box, I had a joiner here that day so he held the tape measure whilst I took the photographs. I phoned again only to be told that the lady had gone home for the evening as this process had taken up most of the day! I asked the gentleman to send these to the warehouse, he was most unhelpful. The following morning at 08.45am I received an e.mail from the lady saying she had sent the photographs up to the warehouse. I told her surely everyone could see that two sets would not have fitted in the box as also there was some shredded packaging in the bottom of the box & on top, one of the photographs showed that there was only 15cm left in height for a 22cm height pan box to fit! I waited & waited & at 12.30 pm that afternoon I wrote again asking if there was any news & said telling them that I would be calling the police & asked her to check the CCTV cameras. As far as I could see someone had stolen a pan set at £99.00! At 1.43pm I had a message from DPD to say they were expecting a parcel, shortly afterwards I received a phone call telling me that they were sending a set of pans out to me, I asked if they had checked their CCTV & she said no & blamed the loss on DPD. I was very annoyed she said this because that box had not been tampered with. How come no one could understand that the box was too small to fit two pan sets inside. The following day the second pan set arrived but the pan box itself was damaged & had two holes in the bottom. I wrote & said that I thought the warehouse staff had sent this out on purpose & that the only way I would have bought these goods if in store would be if they were for myself & they were reduced. Both these items are for presents. I have still to get a reply & have received NO APOLOGY, I decided to report the situation to their Managing Director Nick Fox but have heard nothing back. Total dissatisfaction & never again would I buy from Housing Units. I have given the lowest one star review but in theory they do not even deserve that in my opinion.

It has taken two weeks from order date, and regular chasing to have someone come back and say my order has been dispatched. You either have it or don't. If I didn't say, I genuinely don't think I would have got my next day delivery cost refunded back. No offer of alternative, no solution, just telling me to wait for your warehouse to respond back with stock. My order was a kettle and toaster set, and paid for next day delivery, should tell you what I need, which is a cup of tea and some toast, neither I could make at home for two+ weeks. Your online ordering service is poor and slow, why should I ever return?

Although the initial service was good I was very disappointed how a problem with my settee was dealt with. In a visit back to the store to describe a fault I was just told to email the problem to the after care department instead of the assistant doing it for me there and then. Feeling really disappointed in HU. Also another settee I’ve purchased has yet to arrive after two delays. With very little notification from HU as to when it is expected and no reason for the delay given.

We ordered the lights and they arrived on the time stated, great product and service as always.
