We have requested further information about this and have flagged the review as suspicious as it seems a very odd 1 star review to write.
We make all our shipping cost very clear and we are one of the most competitive in our market and no feed retailer would be able to offer you Free nationwide delivery on items.
As for the coupon for any discount code this is done at the checkout which is clearly labelled for discount codes.
What we find odd is that we have no customer that has signed up to our newsletter under your name, nor do we have any abandoned cart for around the £85 mark over the last 2 weeks.
We have reached out via Trust Pilot for more information which you haven't replied to again make us very suspicious this is a false review.
Lastly, if anyone did have issue then we are more then happy for people to reach out with comment and suggestion as well as help with placing an order. We have a chat that is open for anyone to ask for help.
We are sadden that we are so suspicious and that someone would right a review that seems so harsh but this seems to be the world we live in. We hope people see past this review.

First time order
I placed an order for some horse feed for the first time and was extremely impressed with the excellent customer service I received.
I spoke to a lady called Gail on the phone & Kim delivered it that evening.
I will definitely be ordering again now for all our other animal feeds.

Ordered horse feed on the 1st may 2025, now the 14th may and still no sign of it, FedEx app doesn't work, I've received an order number but no other contact from the company, called several times and no one answers the phone, will not be ordering from this company again, bought feed from different company and it was delivered within 24 hours, still hoping I will received my order but it's not looking great,

We have requested further information on this review. We have no outstanding shipments on the 1st May and no order from any Sue on this date. I am unsure why you have not been able to get through on the telephone, our lines are open 9am - 5.30pm Monday-Friday and 9am-3pm Saturdays by calling 01629 55084. You can also email us on orders@horseandhen.co.uk or use our website chat to ask any question. We have check all logs and cant see any question or enquiries from a Sue.
When an order is dispatched we send a shipment notification email and then we also follow up with a thank you email and give our details for any issues.
We are always disappointed when we get a negative review as our small team work so hard and people are so quick to leave something negative and it so hard to get positive reviews even though we send thousand of successful orders a month.
We have requested via Trust Pilot for more information on the shipment so we can locate this for you.
Impressive service from a small business
Recently bought a parcel of hemp bedding for my chickens. Delighted with the service provided: great price, auto email updates keeping me well-informed, and impressive 2-day turnaround of my order. I waited for nearly 3 weeks for a bag…
I waited for nearly 3 weeks for a bag of Baileys feed. Repeatedly emails only got me a few reply’s and promises but no feed. I contacted my credit card company and go a refund. I reordered from Amazon. It was £3 more expensive, but at least it arrived within 24 hrs. I won’t be using them again.

Hi Terence, Very disappointed with you review as we resent this order 3 time and reply to all your emails we had come through. Fedex also told us they had contact you several times on the first parcel as they couldn't gain access to the property. 1 of the parcels on the FedEx tracking say they have been delivered so we assumed you had got the parcel as we had heard anything until your charge back. Which we accepted out of goodwill even though we are now put of pocket by £10 for charge back and two bags of feed.
We are small business trying our best, we are unfortunately rely on carriers to deliver our products and this can sometime be out of our control, however we always resend itema and work with our customers. Unfortunately this was not good enough in this instance.

I wanted to buy from a smaller business than a large organisation, but I’m afraid paying for expensive delivery and waiting over 16 days for horse feed when we needed it is not acceptable! And no communication about the lengthy delay is really not great .

Thank You Liz, As per our email you kindly replied to, this was totally our fault and human error in not highlighting your order had been placed on hold via our card provider for verification check due to high risk with our provider. We have a since spoke and done a full refund for the carriage as gesture of good will. I ordered two packets of flowers of suphur one arrived way back before Christmas and I’ve been writing asking when do I receive the 2nd part of my order the packet cost 13.90 plus postage and it seems they must think if they ignore my request for my paid for order I will go away such a shame to be treated like this why would they do this as I would not trust them again

Thank you for your review. Unfortunately originally there was some confusion in regards to your order, as we received an email requesting to cancel during the Christmas period when our carriers were not collecting. So this was put into the list to be cancelled and refunded within in the new year. At the same time we had another email from you stating that you required the order, however this was dealt with from another member of the team who hadn’t realised this had been placed in the refund pile until it was checked a few days later. Which we can only apologise for.
The order was then ready to be dispatched the first week back in January however due to our remote location and the extreme weather our carriers could not collect for 2 days, this is very rare but unfortunately out of our control.
We did reply to your two email and then offered to refund which we did the same day.
Unfortunately, we are small company that doesn’t have the resources of Amazon. We try our very best for every order. We are sorry about the mix up in emails and missing the order did in fact require sending. When we noticed we went to send the order - we aren’t a faceless company unlike Amazon and we do have a phone line to call and staff that do try their very best. We are truly sorry that we didn’t meet our high expectations of not only you but ourselves. We always willing to hold our hand up to mistakes and We Thank you again and we wish you all the best for 2025
