Awful customer service
My husband received £125 of Farmison gift vouchers for his birthday, with a purchase date of Jan 2026 and expiry date of Jan 2027.
The company have since been taken over by Donald Russell who will not accept the gift vouchers.
There was no email communication from Farmison or Donald Russell explaining this would happen.
Why were Farmison still selling gift vouchers with a year’s validity if they knew they were about to close down?
Awful customer service from both companies and my husband has now lost his birthday gift which the whole family clubbed together to buy.

Great quality & tasty steak
I’ve ordered from here a fair amount of times. Have recently moved and needed a nice steak and some beef for curry, so after having multiple great experiences with Farmison I naturally went back to them. I’ve just had their Flat iron steak and it was absolutely delicious and great quality!
Poor Customer Care
I contacted Farmisons via the email stated on their website as I had a query about the rewards scheme on January this year but had no reply. I checked the email address to ensure it was correct and sent a further email again with no response. I sent a further chaser under the auspices of complaint but still no response. I am extremely unhappy about the lack of "care" from Farmisons. I had been a loyal customer for many years and has stuck with them through their recent transitions. However I will not be purchasing goods from them in the future.

Ensure the order has gone through and that you have received a confirmation email. As the system is set up to take payment first. There systems does not like a different delivery address to card address.
The steaks advertised were 2x 450g, but the total weight that arrived was 225g. When raising, the customer service communication is poor and still awaiting a resolution after several chases. There are better platforms and butchers to buy from.
Half order missing and no refund
I recently placed an order for a dinner party, but unfortunately, half of the items did not arrive, despite being charged for the full order. I have attempted to contact customer services but have received no response, and my calls to the helpline have gone unanswered. While the items that did arrive were of good quality, I am disappointed with the service and will not be ordering from Farmison again. I would also advise others against ordering from them.
Omitted item & No reply
I have order 6 items and successful fully paid, but finally I only received 3 items, I try to contact by e-mail many times, but no one reply me!! Farmison seems my order is completed!! My payment did not refund to me and no any problem solving solution. I really feel disappointed .
One positive | two negatives
One positive: order arrived on time
Two negatives: the quality of meat has changed, for the worse (i have made multiple orders previously). Second, one part of order was missed and the receipt in the box highlighted this. Yet i was charged. It’s annoying to have a missing meal with no advance notice. Also annoying that the burden was on me to ask for my money back.
V unlikely to use again based on lower quality of meat and poor customer service. A shame.
Arrived frozen solid — not as described
“Order: 32-day dry-aged fore rib (3.2kg). On delivery it was frozen solid, not simply ‘firm’. It went straight into my fridge on Friday night and was still not defrosted by Sunday, so I had to take it out to ensure it was usable.
Customer services said their fridges run around -2°C and that the joint would ‘soon soften’, and stated it wasn’t frozen at any point. I understand temperature/storage and this explanation doesn’t align with a joint arriving rock-hard and remaining frozen for that long in a normal fridge. I asked them to investigate the transit/handling and advise, but they didn’t reply.
Quality product on paper, but the handling and follow-up were disappointing.”

Unfortunately, my order was not delivered despite my calling twice to follow up.
I was refunded, but I'm not sure I would risk a missed delivery for a specific date again.
I have shopped successfully before and enjoyed the quality of the product.
Well Chilled Quality product
Good quality product , which is always a joy to consume. Product came well packaged , and arrived well chilled. One problem, an item was missed out for delivery. Customer care on the case and resolution expected soon.

My order was delivered incomplete, and since then I have been unable to get any help from Farmison.
They do not answer their phone, and despite contacting them in writing multiple times, I received no response at all.
This is extremely disappointing and unacceptable for a company selling premium products.
Based on my experience, this is not a reliable business.
I do not recommend shopping here.
Will never use again
Will never use again. First review posted in response to their email request mysteriously never got posted here so am trying again directly on TP. I ordered well before Christmas and requested a Fri 19th Dec delivery which was confirmed. When nothing arrived, I went online to track the delivery and found FedEx had taken it upon themselves to reschedule to the Monday, leaving my expensive Christmas joint unrefrigerated all weekend. It arrived warm on the Monday and I could not risk poisoning the family so had to fork out for a replacement, inferior piece of meat. The packaging had nothing on it to flag that it was perishable. The Farmison customer care person I spoke to was very helpful and promised me a refund, however, I paid partly with a refund and partly with a gift voucher, the whole point of which was to save me having to pay out the whole price of a large joint myself. I’ve only been refunded the cash portion and, having had to buy replacement meat, I remain significantly out of pocket. Farmison haven’t answered my email. I note that I’m far from the only customer to have their Christmas ruined in this way and I will never use them again.
Update: I have now received a response and my gift voucher has been refunded, in the form of another gift voucher. I totally appreciate that this restores me to my original position, I don’t really want to use them again after my recent experience.
Total lack of customer care.
Just catching up with emails and such after Christmas. Like so many others I was thoroughly disappointed with the service from Farmison. The items for Christmas were ordered in October and arranged to be delivered on Thursday 18th December, we did get an initial email apologising and stating that the delivery would be on the 19th. Nothing arrived, no delivery and no further email to update. No notification whatsoever. The delivery did eventually arrive on Monday 22nd, again no notification that this would be the case, luckily we were in to receive it. We were concerned that the delivery had been stood in a warehouse over the weekend but it was still cold. The meat was ok but soured by our experience, the total lack of communication from Farmison and the apparent lack of concern over their customer experience. We would never use the company again. No follow up email from the company to apologise or explain what had happened to our, and so many others, delivery. I would advise others to look elsewhere for their meat, we certainly will, the owners of the business should hang their heads in shame.
This item was ordered before Christmas…
This item was ordered over Christmas we had a email saying delivery date of the 30th of December. We stayed in all day but the item never arrived so we rang them. It seemed like it was another company as they could not do anything we rang again and again they couldn’t do nothing. We emailed continuously and eventually got a reply to say that they were really sorry and it was sitting there waiting to be dispatched. Then we got another email to say when would we like it? I put as soon as possible, and we are still waiting. This was a gift and quite sad that it’s taken so long and we still don’t know whether or not we are going to get it or not
Another ‘sad to be leaving’ customer!
I ordered three products from Farmison on January 3rd due to be delivered on the 6th. I had an email on the 5th to say due to the weather the delivery would be late. All good so far.
The order arrived on the 7th. Instead of ‘Fresh & Freezable’ produce I received ‘frozen’ goods.
I tried to ring customer services but after holding on for 15 minutes I had a message saying ‘hang up and ring later’. After 7 tries I rang Donald Russell who said they would pass on my problem and somebody would ring me. No call back.
So I sent an email to Farmison. But overnight I began to give the frozen meat some more thought. The packets were labelled with Farmison labels with ‘fresh food’ dates of between 4 and 7 days use by dates. I had no idea when or how the meat had been frozen. Warning signals began ringing in my head especially as the chicken in particular looked to be in ‘poor’ condition.
I then looked up my ‘consumer rights’ and it is quite clear that in sending ‘frozen meat’ instead of ‘fresh’, as shown on the website, the company had breached my ‘Consumer Rights’. So I sent another email to Farmison pointing this out and asking for a full refund and saying that Farmison could pick up the products they had sent at their convenience.
However I wasn’t at all convinced I would get a response to my emails. I rang one more time to Farmison, no response, so I rang Donald Russell again.
Now I had action. Not sure if I just got lucky and the customer services person I spoke to got action or if it was my second email but, either way, 5 hours later I had an email from PayPal advising me of a full refund! Although, I have had no further communication from Farmison.
I’m quite sad because I’ve had really good produce from Farmison over the last five years. I really don’t feel I can use them again in the future.
I have given two stars instead of none only because, after persisting, they did make a full refund.
Let down on delivery
I booked for a delivery on Dec 28th as we were having a family meal on the 29th. A few days before it was cancelled which was very inconvenient.

Refund not paid yet!
After failing to delivery, I was offered a partial refund via my original payment method which was PayPal. This has been pending since 30th December. Obviously a problem here also.
