Everything was perfect and the meat was…
Everything was perfect and the meat was fresh and arrived as stated. The meat was protected and at the correct temperature. Couldn’t be more happier with this butcher and will use in the future.

Arrived up in Yorkshire very well packed and presented. Lambs sweetbreads hard to find so I am delighted.

Decent, but could be better
The sweetbreads tasted fine, but they were not trimmed at all; they all had fat and sinew still attached. Which is not how they are presented on the website.

It was a terrible piece of rolled…
It was a terrible piece of rolled beef; we thought ok on first appearance, as marbling present, but it was only surface deep - it had no moisture even though cooked pink rare.. and the fat was disgustingly gamey. That’s 2 out of four pieces of beef now that have been terrible.Give up!

You must try the Beef Wellington
You must try the Beef Wellington. One of the best Wellingtons I’ve had and I can’t wait to order another one. The 2 portion is very generous and can definitely serve 3/4 with sides.

Disappointed by the product for the overall cost.
Ordering process and delivery was First Class. However, the steaks and the beef stock both lacked the intensity of flavour I was hoping for. I’ll try elsewhere next time.

What a fabulous piece of meat
What a fabulous piece of meat! I ordered a 3 bone dry aged rib of beef and I have got to say it was incredibly tender and flavourful. I also ordered the chimichurri sauce to go along with the beef. Absolutely delicious. All my dinner guests were very impressed too. I highly recommend you guys!

A great range of top rate meat
My first order arrived well packed and fresh. I was particularly taken by their wide range of products including an excellent choice of veal items (including kidneys) and sweetbreads which are hard to find. The beef sirloin joint, simply roast was meltingly tender and full of flavour. I'll be back.

I found these guys searching online for veal bones…. the veal bones made a great jus at a very reasonable price. The best bit however was discovering the rest of the catalogue, full of meat the quality of which I have struggled to source locally. Perfect packaging and delivery, they are certainly ‘on repeat’ - thanks

I have just received your parcel, which is missing the £25 chicken which was ordered. There are no details in the package, no explanation re the deficit. I would be please if you would refund me the money.

Really tasty beef
Really tasty beef - I bought a 5.6kg rib of beef for Christmas. I've used other online butchers in the past, but thought I'd give HG Walter a try this year, and I'm glad I did, the quality was excellent, I was very happy and actually have their website open in a different tab to make a new order!
