Buyer Beware

I purchased a printer from GI after contacting their customer service to confirm they had this particular printer in stock. The rep said they did have it and it would ship with a 3 day lead time. I waited 5 business days and there was still no tracking so I contacted support again as it was supposed to arrive the following day. This time, the rep said this was out of stock and cancelled my order. So, the printer I was needing this week I now don't have. The time I had to acquire said printer, I also no longer have because of this company's reps. Very poor experience. If you need a reliable company, I would recommend looking elsewhere.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. It’s called kill the ball down the road and hopefully the consumer will forget.

Short story - ordered 4 cabinets from them along with other things. 2 sections of the cabinets we damaged on arrival. Customer service kept apologizing and then ghosted. Good luck, buy from anyone else.

Backordered Unexpectedly

I ordered a full face mask on their website that had no indication it wasn't in stock. After my expected delivery date passed I checked on my order and it was backordered with a new delivery date. That drlivery date was missed also with a third proposed totalling 2 months later than originally expected. I cancelled the order.

Horrible customer service

Horrible customer service. Just horrible.

I wanted to order a shelving system, but their site showed a seperate SKU# for the hardware for the shelf (the screws). However, I'm in Canada and that SKU was not showing on their Canadian site. So I went to the live chat, said what's the story? Carlos tells me he'd need to message the supplier to find out availability in Canada. One week passes, no response. I get on their chat again, different CSR, tells me she doesn't have visibility to the issue (!!! lol), and that I need to email Carlos. So fine, I email Carlos.

Another week goes by, no reply from Carlos. So I get on the chat again. Now I'm told Carlos has been messaged, and he'll be replying to me shortly. Guess what happens next? You got it! No reply from Carlos lol!

I get on the chat again, get a wonderful gentleman by the name of Jorge this time. I tell Jorge I would like contact infromation for a supervisor, and that I don't want to speak to him about my issue. Jorge doesn't take that answer, and proceeds to ask me ~5 questions surrounding the issue, refusing to give me one until I answer them, including who my complaint is regarding. I answer ~5 questions, then I lose it and tell him I'm not answering any more questions, and he can either give me the supervisor contact, or I'll figure out another way to get it.

At this point he throws up the white flag and gives me a contact. I looked the person up on Linkedin, nothing shows up. So I've no idea if this is actually a supervisor, or his buddy in the next cubicle who's going to cover for Carlos.

At this point I google reviews for the company, and come across this site. I've given up, not going to risk dealing with this company. Their operation is amazingly shoddy given how much money & effort they're putting into their online marketing.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Initial conversation with CSR said the stanchions are in stock and will arrive within 7-10 days. I was notified 7 days later that the items are on back order. After two more emails informing me of the arrival dates and very vague verbiage i tried to email the CSR I spoke to get some clarification, I never received a response. I received an email 30 days after my original order date for an approximate delivery date. The date of delivery was 90 days after my original date of ordering. There was a link in the email to cancel the order, I decided to do so since my organization no longer needed the stanchions. Fast forward 60 days later and the stanchions have arrived AFTER this order should have been canceled. We immediately returned all of the items back to sender since we have tried several times to call this business and have been put on hold by an actual person only to have them never come back on the line for over an hour.

so much better than Uline - recommended!

I used to order from Uline - stupid newbie mistake. Global Industrial is fairly priced, shipping fees are reasonable, and the catalogue is stuffed with almost everything a business could need.
Shipping fees are less than half of what Uline charges!!

Negative Reviews

I was concerned about ordering from globalindustrial.ca because of negative reviews. First I ordered a large recycling bin lid I couldn't find anywhere else. Later I ordered a large recycling bin, because the lid wouldn't fit other brands. Both orders arrived very quickly by UPS & in good condition, although the recycling bin was partially wrapped in plastic (no box). I did not deal with customer service.

Do not buy from them

We placed an order. It stated in the description, Arctic Silver. Unfortunately (our error) our purchaser wrote down the code for the white cabinet when copying it from your website. She thought it was the code for the cabinet, did not know that it was colour specific. This is my first frustration, why would no one at this company, reading this PO would call us to clarify which colour we wanted. It seemed clear to me, that one way or the other there was a clerical error. But fine, Our fault. I’m stuck with an white cabinet, when everything else in my front reception is Arctic Silver, and then we have this glaring white cabinet, at our front reception. Looks ridiculous. But again, we made the clerical error.

Then to add insult to injury, I get a bill from my shipping company for shipping. I have already been billed $428.99 for shipping, and now, I am being charged an additional $301.29. They charged me at a 42% markup!

I am stuck with a cabinet in a colour that I didn’t want, and I am now being charged almost as much as the cabinet itself.

I bought this Telescoping Wand from…

I bought this Telescoping Wand from Globalindustry.ca last year and just used it once clean my gutter. This year when I tried to clean my gutter again, the number 7 part SS HOSE ADAPTOR FITTING broken. I took the part to a local mechanic dealer. The dealer told me that it is a design fault because the part #7 only tight-fitting, it should be screw in. Now the BE manufacture has changed the part #7 design.

I contacted the Globalindustrial customer service to provide warranty, but they refused and said only three-month warranty. This is unfair. It is your manufacture design fault, and now you has changed design. So you should recall your design fault.

Ordered 4 months ago, still didn't ship

I ordered sanitizer on 3/5. Today is 7/11 and it still did not ship! I understand maybe if there is a shortage etc, but they never sent any update messages. I called 2 months ago they said it would ship in another month. That should have been last month and still nothing. Avoid the hassle and order elsewhere. I will update this review when I receive product.

*Update: after posting this review they sent an email and said "Estimated Ship Date:35 Days"

Since they also said that when I called a month ago, I will believe it when I see it and make another update at that time.

Poor customer service

Poor customer service. I placed an order in which was advertently sent to a PO Box. After the expected delivery date I contacted UPS which advised me to contact the original merchant. Upon contacting global industrial they advised that they could not alter the original shipping address and that I would have to basically re-order. I had also provided them with a resale certificate as they had charged my account with sales tax. The next day I received an email advising that they had set up my account as a consumer account under my husbands name even after they had received a state of Tennessee resales certificate. I am at a loss as to how they obtain my husbands name as my husband does not own the company and has never placed an order with global industrial nor is he on my Visa card . Quite concerning.

Global Industrial Will Steal Your Money

About 3-4 months ago I decided to place an order with Global Industrial for toilet paper because of the lack of toilet paper on the shelves of my local grocery stores due to the Covid-19 crisis. This order was promptly placed on back order and remained so weeks after. I then received an email from Global Industrial asking if I am still interested in the toilet paper order placed on back order, or if I would like to cancel it. The email contained a link to click on in order to cancel the order which I immediately did as I had found a different online company to order toilet paper, and other toiletries from. I assumed this was the end of the matter, and I did not hear anything back from Global Industrial until they decided to reactivate the order that I cancelled.....

I received an e-mail 6/23/2020 stating the order (which was cancelled by me 3-4 months ago) was to arrive at my home by the end of the week, and my credit card was charged $174.30. I was livid to say the least when I seen that my credit card was charged nearly $200 for an order that I cancelled 3-4 months ago.

I immediately called Global Industrial to cancel this order and explained that I had cancelled this order via a link THEIR COMPANY SENT ME! The representative then had the audacity to ask me to email the link her company sent me, rather than promptly cancel the order and immediately offer to refund my credit card for the full amount they stole from me!

This matter has still not been taken care of because I checked the UPS tracking link and it says the toilet paper will be delivered to my home on Friday 6/26/2020, and my credit card has still not been refunded!

I just called Global Industrial again about this matter and it feels like I am getting the run around. The representative then told me she could refund my money now and I thought that would be the end of the issue. She then said she has to email her manager to ask about getting a refund. I asked her who else can I speak to during business hours about this and was told to call back later when a manager is available. This may seem like a small time frame to wait, but it's not for me as I do not have almost $200 to give away and I need my money back NOW.

I RECOMMEND THAT NO ONE ORDERS FROM GLOBAL INDUSTRIAL UNLESS THEY WANT MONEY STOLEN FROM THEIR ACCOUNT, AND A MIGRAINE TO GO ALONG WITH IT! FIND AN HONEST COMPANY TO DO BUSINESS WITH.

Horrible customer service

Horrible customer service. I spent 25 minutes trying to place an order. The form wouldn't let me fill my address. The live chat was absolutely no help. Called and was transferred twice, then cut off. I did not place an order and I will do everything in my power to never need them for anything.

I don't want to give this company no star I have not received mine package I have to send emails telling me to get in touch with another email.I purchase Abdominal machine lazy for 35 dollars on May 10 2020 now there no phone number to call them just this he has not responded now they are ripped off

This company has horrible service

This company has horrible service. My product took over a month to receive they lied about the shipping time. Then we I received the item, its description was in accurate, I called there customer service to try to exchange for something different, they were very rude, told me it was my problem I bought it. Offered to give me only half of my money back and for me to pay shipping. I have never been more disappointed with a company. I would never purchase from Global Industrial again.
