Stay away from this company

Stay away from this company. Customer service is horrible! Took over 4 months to finally get reimbursed. Sent over 14 emails to this company!!! I'm not sure how they are still in business.

No Urgency!

I've been purchasing from Global Industrial for a couple years but lately their customer service is in the dumps. Many times you're speaking to someone that English is a second language so their is a communication breakdown. And, then you wait for days to have an issue resolved. Two orders is a row were wrong. First one I was shorted 100/ea of an item, and the second one I was shipped the wrong item. Customer service is poor, and communication is lacking. It's time to move on to another provider.

Zero communication and customer care

Ordered and received a confirmation on an item sold by Global Industrial. Confirmation indicates the item will be delivered on or before Jan 5th (I understand the Covid issue may delay delivery). I called on the 7th as for the status of the delivery since I never received a tracking number. Spoke to “Angela” and she said the item was shipped and will call the warehouse for tracking info. She came back and said they are looking into it, and she will call with their findings.
I haven’t heard back so I called late
morning of the 8th and was now told the order was canceled. Wow! First it’s shipped, now it’s canceled. Not one phone call or E-mail prior to my inquiry of the delivery status letting me know that they canceled it! Obviously this company is so big that this customer treatment is insignificant. I guess there are plenty of fulfilled orders that this “cancel and screw’em” attitude is just a drop in the bucket.

Horrible customer service

Horrible customer service. I called to report a damaged part was delivered on 4th Jan 2021. Explained to the agent on the phone what was going on and she kept talking on top of what I was saying, constantly harassing stating that the part came without damage and that I have to send a proof of the damaged for the replacement. She didn't trust my words. It was HORRIBLE! I would never buy again from GI

Put you on hold with no intention of helping

Ordered metal cabinets that came in defective. Called several times and the complaint was never recorded. Called again and explained the reason for my call again and the girl said ok...and preceeded to place me on hold with no intention of coming back to the line. That way I couldn't report her for her actions or take the review at the end of the call. I called the line again with another phone while still on hold and someone else picked up and gave me a report on the order. I have yet to see how this will fully end. I dont have a good feeling working with a company who allows that kind of behavior out of their employees...

Do yourself a favor, Shop Elsewhere

I ordered 5 wooden cabinets for my office. The picture clearly shows them with doors. When they arrived, no doors. The doors are extra. I called them and was told that the description states the doors can be purchased separately. It says glass doors can be purchased separatley. I told them it was very misleading to have it pictured with doors and not have under the image 'DOORS NOT INCLUDED". The customer service rep agreed and said, "thats the marketing team." So I ordered the doors for it. They offered to make things right by giving me a dsicount... 44 cents off an $800 order. Having already been burned by them once, when ordering the doors I asked if they came with hardware, they sales representative had the nerve to say, "well they are pictured with hardware, so, yeah..." The cabinets were PICTURED with DOORS!!!! I finally got everything, but it cost much more than I thought and their customer service is atrocious. Buyer beware!!!

NO REFUNDS GIVEN

My order was delayed about six times for a period of two months. When I asked for a refund, the customer service rep. said they don't give refunds. In essence, they steal your money. This is a scam. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Horrible company

Horrible company. Never responds and constantly lie about shipping. Ordered a fridge and was told it would be delivered no later than DEC 7th. On DEC 9th they said I wouldn't receive the fridge until January 6th!!!!!
Spend the extra money buying from a trusted vendor.

ZERO Customer Service

I placed an order for an item that in their website said "In Stock" expecting shipment to occur that same day as their website claimed. I received a confirmation email that said expected delivery date was 30 days later. Since I needed the item immediately I cancelled the order on their website as provided for and ordered from another source which was able to deliver in 2 days. Global went ahead and shipped my order to me the next day, and it was received 5 days later. I returned the order with documentation asking for a full refund including the shipping costs since I cancelled the order the day before they shipped it. It has now been 30 days since I returned the order and I have received nothing.

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY

I can't even rate these shelves because I never got them, even after THREE attempts. This company has been a nightmare to work with from the very beginning, including the promotional "get 5% off" email I received. No promo code to apply to your checkout, spoke to the customer service online and they assured me the 5% would be applied once I purchased. That didn't happen. Spoke with them again and they said they'd put it in as a refund. That didn't happen. Spoke to them again and they said "so you're claiming you were told you'd get a discount?" and made me forward the email to them to prove it. Still never got it. The original shipment never arrived. They said it was "lost with the carrier." The second shipment barely arrived. I literally got bits and pieces plastic wrapped to a pallet. Couldn't even put 1 unit together because of missing so many pieces. Called THREE MORE TIMES to get it resolved before finally demanding a refund. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY.

Shipment not as advertised

Shipment not as advertised. Said I was to have it on the 4th and didn't receive the shipment. Was told I needed to call and schedule the delivery date and time. Now I will not get my shipment until sometime next week. Will never do business with this company again.

Seems their customer service is in India so the right hand does not know what the left is doing. I sent them all the info and pics about the wrong items they sent me. Still have not received the right product. My fault maybe as I did not read the reviews first . If I had I would never of placed an order.

If we could give you NEGATIVE stars, we would.

Online states, ships same day, We ordered on a Tuesday, the tracking shows that the label was created a mere 3 hours later and was on its way. We paid for 2nd day air. We received an Email that it had been shipped, at that arrival date would be Thursday, 2 days later.

Here we are, still no product has arrived, reached out for a refund on the difference, since they did not fulfill their duties as they said they could. They tried to blame it on us, stating that we ordered too late in the day, and that Friday would then be considered 2nd day. This is false. Every note I read said it would be a Thursday delivery. Very disappointing, and we will no longer be ordering from these guys. Terrible customer service, They have messed up a pretty large job we have with the Federal Gov.

Global - Order Fulfillment Problems - Communication Issues

In my opinion, this company appears to have basic order processing problems. I just finished my second long Chat with their Customer Service rep since July.

I tried to order six plastic boxes - good price - easy ordering. On July 1, I ordered the boxes. After a month of not hearing anything, I went to the site to check my order. It had been canceled (out of stock) apparently with no contact with me for the chance to wait, reorder, or cancel. My order still showed a delivery date in one place on my web page of their site and "cancelled" at the same time on another part of Global Industrial's site for my account. It seems, orders are automatically canceled if an item is out-of-stock.

I placed another order on Aug 27. It showed a delivery date of Sept 28. I went to the web site again. Same thing happened. After chatting with a rep, I decided to rate the company here. I rarely complain on the Internet, but this has been a frustrating experience.

My back ground is Industrial Engineering with specialties in Inventory Control and Forecasting. Order fulfillment, backordering, etc. are basic Inventory Control components. These appear to need work at Global Industrial.

Unfortunately, based upon my experiences, I can't recommend this company, especially if you're in a hurry. Customer communications have been poor. Rather than reordering and rescheduling a new delivery date, they simply canceled my orders (when out of stock) automatically, leaving me hanging.

So, here I am in time, still wanting the boxes I ordered, but realizing I'll have to get them at some other company.

Probably one of the worst transactions…

Probably one of the worst transactions I have made with a vendor for our work products. I read the reviews and figured I only needed 1 item, how could they screw up 1 item? Well they did. They sent me the wrong item, so I called and told them. They asked for pictures of the item so I sent them. The next 2 days I got emails from them asking for the pictures. I sent them the screenshot of the original message 3 times now and they are still saying they haven't got them. They exchanged the wrong item with the exact same wrong item and don't really seem to care that they have now wasted a lot of my time and sent the wrong item twice now. Pick another company and dont look back. Seriously they are horrible

Global Industrial Unethical Practices

Started out good and went downhill quickly. We are a small company in South Florida who ordered Freestanding Office Partitions ($1599.39 Total) on 05/13/2020 to establish safe working environment for limited office personnel during Covid-19 Pandemic. We received our order, made necessary adjustments in office area which left us with 2 of the partitions ($313.95ea) and associated brackets still in their box unopened and not needed. Upon contacting Global customer service the representative we dealt with provided all of the necessary documents to return the 2 partitions and 2 boxes of support brackets within a designated timeframe for a refund. On 29 July 2020 we took the items to our trusty neighborhood UPS Store (whom we deal with on a regular basis) and was told that we would have to return the partitions by UPS Freight due to the weight (at a cost of $262.00) and had no problems in making sure items were returned in a proper and safe manner. Upon tracking the items and seeing that they were received by Global and after never receiving any feedback from the company I eventually called on August 7th and was told that all items had been received but that the 2 partitions were damaged when they arrived and that a refund would not be issued for the damaged items. At that time I requested photos of the damage and any documentation during receiving that indicated the items were received damaged so that I could file a claim with UPS and recoup some of the money that had been invested to try and stay safe as well as support another company during the midst of economic uncertainty. I was told that photos and receiving information would be mailed to me that day, which never happened, and the representative also stated that they would contact warehouse personnel to obtain better pictures to help in claims process but again, nothing was never received. On August 18 I contacted the company and received apologies and told photos and documentation would be emailed as soon as phone call was over an again nothing. On August 20 I contacted Global again and the same scenario with being very apologetic but never producing any of the documents so I could file a claim. On August 24 I contacted our Trusty Neighborhood UPS Store and explained our dilemma at which the rep emailed me a document to forward to Global so that they (UPS Store) could file a claim on our behalf. On August 26 I contacted Global for feedback and was told that they were working to get the information together for me at which I almost lost it but left it at that and passed that information back to the UPS Store rep who was helping me. On August 28 the UPS Store rep emailed Global with me in copy to explain and request the pertinent information needed to file a claim on our behalf and received no reply. As it is now September with no response from Global Equipment Company Inc., I am now in the process of seeking alternative means to have my concerns addressed with the company as well as ensuring that the general public is aware of how this company operates when it comes to customer's concerns.
