So far a great experience…
Gearbooker is a well organized operation that really makes renting your equipment much easier. At first the ID checks can seem quite a lot, but in the end this gives a very valuable peace of mind. A great concept for getting the most out of your equipment and meeting like minded creative people in your area.

Nette Idee, schlechter Support
Support ist unerreichbar, meldet sich nicht zurück. Eine Buchung wurde 1 Woche im voraus bezahlt, die Webseite spiegelt dies auch nach 6 Tagen nicht wieder. Das Equipment kann logischerweise nicht abgeholt werden, wenn die Bezahlung nicht korrekt erfasst wird. Kontaktanfragen, über den Chatbot, die Webseite und per Email, sowie über ein früheres Ticket bleiben unbeantwortet.

The idea is great, but not the customer service
The idea is great, but the customer service is always unavailable. I tried to reach the customer service via all platforms (chatbot, email, Instagram, Facebook) and didn't receive an answer yet. This was about 2 weeks ago....
However, the possibility to rent gear from people near your location is pretty nice and helpful.

Schlechtester Service, den ich je erlebt habe!
Ich habe Gearbooker genutzt, um für einen Job am Samstag eine zweite Kamera zu mieten. Am Donnerstag habe ich das Geld via Direktüberweisung überwiesen, doch bis Freitag gab es immer noch keine Bestätigung. Wegen des Zeitdrucks und in der naiven Hoffnung, dass das erste Geld innerhalb von einer Woche zurückerstattet wird, habe ich erneut über PayPal bezahlt – inklusive zusätzlicher Gebühren.
Jetzt sind bereits zwei Wochen vergangen, und ich habe mein Geld immer noch nicht zurück. Der Kundenservice ist eine absolute Katastrophe. Weder über die Chatfunktion auf der Website noch über Facebook konnte ich jemanden erreichen. Einmal erhielt ich die Mitteilung, dass sich jemand per E-Mail bei mir melden würde, aber bis heute habe ich keine Rückmeldung erhalten.
Ich bin extrem enttäuscht und genervt. Knapp 55 € für nichts bezahlt und nicht zurückerstattet bekommen!
Update: Es hat zwar länger gedauert, aber am Ende wurde der zu viel gezahlte Betrag zurückerstattet. Trotzdem bleibt ein fader Beigeschmack – eine schnellere Bearbeitung und besserer Support wären wünschenswert.
