Solwise N Series extender unit arrived. Expected to connect it straight to other Faculty X Homeplugs as it says in the ads and in the instructions. However that's not quite true!?
You need to ensure the new and old are compatable. 85mbps doesn't work with 200 units. It is explained but not anywhere near where you are ordering or where you read the plug and go lines in the descriptions.
Customer service excellent and I opted to upgrade to 200mpbs, so anyone wanting 85 mpbs plugs x4 let me know.

Faculty X delivery was good and the package was fine. The Solwise units now work very well but setting them up was a pain because the instructions are dreadful. Why can't anyone with a technical brain right simple step by step instructions? The first install of the management software to a Windows 7 failed. That could not be removed and wont communicate or reinstall, it just error codes and crashes. Re -installed from web download still wont work either. Finally got the things set up with an old XP machine. Solwise get your act together, its as good a product as the TP-LINK ( suspiciously similar!) and cheaper but your execution is awful.

Ordered Solwise PL-500AV-Piggy triple at 1500 hrs and they arrived the next morning.
Plugged in and worked a treat.

Only problem was with the Sky+ box. Despite Sky's adverts it is necessary to change the settings under the services menu to turn on the broadband network connection. Once I had made this change all was fine.

Did a search on Google for Cat 5 cable and Faculty-X were listed. It was easy to find what I wanted on their web site, ordered and delivered within a couple of days. Brilliant service, you should try them.

My wi-fi booster for my motorhome arrived the day after it was ordered and it's a first class product. I would recommend Faculty-X to anyone looking for anything in this line.

Buying technology can be fraught with problems and it helps if written set up notes are provided and technical queries are answered clearly and quickly. No more is this more important than when buying a wi-fi directional aerial, that has instructions that are not up to date with the current stock of PC operating systems. It would also help if all the products were tried in store first and instructions added in a simple guide, together with driver download addresses, rather than wait until customers get in a fankle. Nonetheless, Faculty-X do their best to help and so far I have managed to get the aerial working. However, it has not yet proved that it can receive a signal at the claimed 1 km and it is still "on trial". Also, once I find the on-line Driver Download for my "non CD" laptop it will be even easier to use the aerial where I want to. Unfortunately, there is an assumption that all buyers are Teccy Types and, whilst the kit is probably all fine, getting it working is sometimes more of a pain than it needs to be.

I decide to go ahead and order 5 homeplugs, even after reading some negative comments about the company. I have to say, I am totally happy, as delivery was quick, communication excellent (you can even change delivery after it's despatched).

We have recently bought two sets ethernet plugs - they are competively priced on faculty-x and the arrive speedily and well packaged. Very pleased with the online shopping experience in general - their website is a bit outdated and cheap looking but dont let it put you off.
