Good online service and sale prices were good.
I took advantage of the summer sale to buy a new pair of gloves at 50% discount. There was an extra 10% discount which helped soften the blow of the postage and packing fees which I thought was a little expensive for a pair of gloves. As it is summer I wasn't too fussed about speedy delivery but the goods came within the predicted schedule and e-mail notification about my order status was adequate without being annoying.

Thanks for the review Otorist. To respond to your comment about shipping, you have saved over 60% on your purchase, far, far in excess of the £3.50 shipping charge. The cost to ship to you is actually £4.20 as we use only trackable services to ensure safe delivery. We also offer free shipping over £75. There has to be a line somewhere, and as we are currently selling gloves at a loss, giving free shipping too, would have us rolling the shutters down and going to work at McDonalds :o) We do offer collect at store too, if you are close enough. Thank you for the feedback though, we do read it, and take it on board, but also have to pay the bills :o)

Experience Counts
I have used Edge & Wax twice so far when it comes to buying ski equipment and both times their customer service and product knowledge has been amazing.
In fact it was being able ask questions (both in store and over the phone) that helped give me the reassurance I needed.
The website is also really well laid out and the range of products pretty diverse (again the staff really know the pro's and con's of each brand).
Price wise I have found them very competitive and you can gain money off future purchases with their loyalty card if you so desire.
All in all I give them top marks - check them out.

Didn't receive my order?
Well to be honest, what can I say? I ordered a set of skis and bindings that were on sale on the website, I checked your stock at the same time and 4 days later I was told you didn't actually have any bindings to fit the skis I had bought (and was then offered a bright orange pair to go with green skis)
at this point your website was still offering the skis for sale and stating stock was available?
So despite you taking my payment I have not received and will not receive the goods. not the best experience!

Hello Rob, I am sincerely sorry to hear that you are unhappy, and that you felt the need to write a 1 star review for an order that was never shipped (hence the not received!). Our supplier K2/Volkl simply sent the incorrect bindings with the skis. This was picked up as part of our quality control process (The basket warned in red that skis take 3-4 working days to ship, as we are unlike other ski retailers and fully wax skis, with a ski waxing iron), and we then contacted the supplier to ask if they had ANY solution at all, as these are of course previous seasons models at a discount, so no longer made. We then contacted you with the option of the alternative binding, to look at alternatives, or to refund. You asked for a refund and we processed it straight away! So I am sorry for this situation, it is beyond our control this one, but I do feel that we did try our best to resolve the issue, and when we could not to your satisfaction we refunded straight away.
The skis were removed immediately from the website, and the site recaches on our server every few hours, so I can only assume you were looking at a cached page on your browser, as we do control our website in house, and it is not in our interest to sell product that is incorrect, and annoy our valuable customers :o)
Hopefully despite your decision to give us one star, you will agree that we did try and resolve the issue, as we are as frustrated as you (FOUR customers were sadly affected, not just yourself!)
Do feel free to contact us if you wish to look at a pair of 2016 skis of the model you were looking at, and we will of course adjust the price so that you are compensated for this error! Sincere apologies once again, Scott - Owner - Edge & Wax
