Excellent customer service, I purchased 2 bench seats, the items were then further discounted a couple of days after my purchase and early settler then matched the new discount and refunded me the difference. Very happy with the prompt service.

I’ve been waiting three weeks and two days for a refund. I’m still waiting the money goes out of my account immediately but I have to wait to get it back. Not fair.

It was a phone call to order an item that I was not able to do online. The person was very helpful, did the transaction on the spot for me.

Beverlyn was extremely helpful and prompt in responding to my request and organising an exchange. I was most impressed by her efficiency and clarity of her emails, which was followed up by a phone call. Much appreciated! Great customer care!

No stock but definitely charged me for the items online plus a high courier fee. Been waiting over 3 months and have written approximately 10 emails to follow up, made numerous calls and also went in store twice. Unbelievably bad business that has no stock but still allows customers to purchase items that do not even exist!
I have spent so much time on this its the most ridiculous and frustrating experience ever. Never again.

Cannot fulfil their orders. All about making money and don’t put stock aside for customers that have ordered in the first place. 2/3 items were in stock at the time of purchase and now that the 3rd item that was out of stock to begin with is now back in stock, the other 2 items are now out of stock as the didn’t put it aside. Have been told it won’t arrive until December/Jan making it a 6-7 month wait time to get everything, which is ridiculous. Do not recommend.

We purchased in February 2024, (invoice number 00134474) and discovered some issues which required assistance from the store we purchased from. This was unable to be resolved after many months, by store sales consultant, which was quite disappointing to say the least. Fortunately when we spoke with a most pleasant young lady by the name of Alison in customer service Head Office she was able to promptly resolve matter in a professional manner without any fuss. That which restored our confidence and we would gladly shop again with Early Settler. (Thank you Alison)

Great service from all staff involved in our purchase. They went above and beyond to rectify the minor issue we had.

I purchased in store and paid in full for 3 large items in July. I was told as one of my items was not in stock I could get my complete order delivered in 6 weeks this is actually noted in my contract. Last week I was told that although that item is now in stock another item is out of stock and they could not deliver my order until October. Yesterday customer service have now advised all items from my order wouldn’t be in their warehouse until the end of December and they didn’t know when it could be delivered next year meaning there is at least a 6 month delay. No reason was given as to why my order is not available as all items are still showing in stock online. If I could give Early Settler Furniture NZ a zero rating I would. They clearly are not acting in the best interest of the customer and communication is not forthcoming. I am now having to seek legal advice and making a formal complaint. I wish I had of diligently checked reviews before I purchased as I have found numerous complaints online and on Facebook. I do not recommend Early Settler NZ Auckland beware they will happily take your money but will unreasonably delay your order and they lack transparency

*update:Early Settler customer service contacted me within 2 hrs of me posting this review. I was assured that they could deliver my order and they arranged for 2 items to be delivered by today. The 3rd item would not be in stock until 4 October (3 months after I purchased) The independent delivery company (who were great!) has delivered 1 item only and were told to tell me that the other item they were meant to deliver was no longer in stock but will be at the warehouse on 30 December. The delivery company today confirmed that they won’t be operating at that time and I could realistically expect a delivery in January. This will be more than 6 months after my purchase. This is seriously exhausting! The item delivered today is poor quality you can see the glue holding the draws together….

Great service from Anisa & Alison when I ordered my sofa online. When the wrong colour sofa was delivered, because it had been mislabeled on the box, Anisa & Alison had it resolved & rebooked within an hour. And wisely requested the colour checked before leaving the warehouse. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase from Early Settler again as the service is excellent.

Some items were not available until a later date though Rhys helped organise an early delivery of all in stock items so that we wouldn't miss our project handover date, Thanks Rhys!

Early Settler went above and beyond in the after care provided to me, years after my initial purchase. I have not experienced this type of service from any other furniture retailer. I will continue purchasing from Early Settler because their beautiful pieces and competitive pricing is backed by this type of service. Five stars and thank you! Special shout out to Alison!

Fantastic service ... Couldn't believe the customer representative, she was amazing. I was trying to order two rugs and one was several months out to get to Australia. She made it so easy to order and deliver what I needed one at a time. Had a power outage here and lost her in the middle of our conversation, but she managed to get me back and sort it all out. Best customer service ever... thanks so much.

That would have to be the absolute best customer service I’ve had in a really long time.
One of our 3 ceramic lamp bases unfortunately arrived by courier, broken.I sent an email straight away by email to customer service. It was all resolved and a replacement organised in minutes. Unreal!

The overall information available online, made it easy to make an informed decision. The initial contact to Early Settler was via email and the reply provided enough information to make a decision without visiting the Adelaide Store, but as we needed to pick up other goods so we called in to confirm what we were ordering was exactly what we thought we were paying for.
