Shipping takes longer then you could ever imagine

Ordered shoes that were in stock in Kalamazoo (about 55 min away from me) that was two weeks ago and they still haven't shipped. Ever day they update to a new expected delivery date and day awaiting carrier pickup. One of the worst companies maybe in history?

Horrible Overseas Service

Got a $30 off coupon in mail so I bought a pair of Skechers that were $69. Even thou coupon was applied and gave me the correct total, it charged me full price after completion. Customer service only refunded $30 had to email several times and they still never credited correct amount with tax. After receiving shoes in box with no lid I called and Rep said shed give me an additional $10 refund and send a replacement. Gave me label to ship back. After a week not receiving $10 credit I emailed and they said they would give me a $10 reward today. That is not what I said I was told and even included the Ref#. I will be returning the shoes. The replacement shoes came in a small makeshift box with Orig box info taped to it.

Horrible deals that will waste your…

Horrible deals that will waste your time at checkout they make all kinds of excuses to not accept the offer they provided me to save on shoes. I had a vip discount card I looked it over several times to be sure that I wasn't missing anything and every shoe I went to checkout with the card was not acceptable I decided to chat with them and they stated all the shoes I chose are not a promotional item when the card clearly states 30 dollars off all brands over 49 dollars or more don't waste your time at dsw

DSW has been "processing" my order for…

DSW has been "processing" my order for almost a month. I emailed to ask what was happening, and I got a response: "So you would like to cancel." I said nothing about canceling my order. I want the shoes I have ordered. You are a shoe company; why is it so hard to do what you advertise? Honestly, if it is this complicated to get shoes, I will order them from another company. Saving a few dollars is not worth the headache. Clearly, by many of these reviews, DSW has become a terrible company to order from online. The customer service is a complete JOKE; you call, and they need help understanding what you are asking, and I need help understanding them. Save yourself the headache, spend the extra money, and get shoes from a trustworthy company.

Dishonest Company

I ordered a pair of boots in February for $81.17. On February 19th they sent me a pair of Steve Madden sandals instead. The boots were reordered on this date and I was also given a $5 refund. I returned the sandals in the store on February 20th. I no longer wanted the boots so I returned them on March 4th. I received a $76.17 refund less the $5. On March 12th they illegally went in my bank account and took $76.17 for no reason. I called on March 13th and was told my money would be refunded. I called March 20th and was told my money would be refunded. I called March 26th and told my money would be refunded. My money was taken for no reason. They have their boots and my money. They keep refusing to give my money back that doesn’t belong to them.

Embarrassment of a company- STAY AWAY!!

This has got to be the most infuriating shopping experience of my life! You're lured in with dirt-cheap shoes, and that's the only reason anyone would endure the nightmare that is this company's customer service. It's beyond atrocious. The laughable amount of problems I've faced, both online and in-store, is unfathomable. Orders mysteriously canceled, charges stuck in limbo on my account for what feels like an eternity (has to be illegal, right?), and customer service calls that make my blood boil. The reps, obviously outsourced, can hardly string a sentence together in English. It's painfully obvious they're undertrained and couldn't care less about solving your problem. Just aiming to end the call as soon as possible. The person in charge of customer service should be mortified by this blatant disregard for customer satisfaction. Trying to escalate to a supervisor? Good luck. They're perpetually 'busy' and promise callbacks that never happen. And why on earth do I still see a pending charge for shoes that never even shipped? Do yourself a favor and take your business to Amazon or Zappos. You're just another ignored complaint in this company's colossal mess. Wishing them nothing but the worst.

DSW Designer? Shoe warehouse...

It doesn't surprise me that DSW has such a low rating. If I had have known this I never would have shopped with them. I have had 2 experiences with them & that's enough. DSW your customer service is horrible & what you are calling exclusive only to DSW as a designer "brand" doesn't meet designer criteria what so ever. Selling pretty much plastic soled shoes with an insert & calling them designer... this will be the last time you see me as I have a return. Good luck with getting your rating up. Not looking good at all thus far...

Waste of time

Went to DSW for a pair of shoes. Since this is such a big store there bound to have my size shoe. So I looked for a sales person to help me, that was my first mistake.

I finally found a sales person that looked friendly, so I asked him where the wide width shoes are ? Oops ! I spoke to him in English, that was my second mistake.

I finally found my style shoe, but they didn't have wide width. Oh well, See Ya !!

Discounts are fake

Created an account. Got tons of emails about being a VIP and getting exclusive discounts. Great. But not if you want to apply it to, well, the shoes you want. They secretly tell you that over a hundred brands won’t get the discount. Yup, every brand that most people use, all major brands. See below:

Shop at Walmart.

Shop at Walmart.. I purchased a set of shoes 3 days ago. One of the shoe string eyelets ripped through the shoe and they would not warranty the shoes. Never hand a retailer refuse to replace an obviously defective product.

Got nothing but still billed for 3 months.

I ordered 2 pairs of shoes online, identical except for size, both to be delivered to DSW's Arden Way store in Sacramento in Sept. 2023. One pair came in to the store, I tried it on there, determined that neither would fit me, so I returned the pair to the cashier & cancelled the whole order. The second pair never came in, as DSW has confirmed by email. But my credit card still shows a "pending charge" for one pair of the shoes in late Jan. 2024, despite the facts that I received nothing & have emailed them multiple times.

Online order at Jordan Creek Store not pulled in 5 hours

We are supposed to get snow so I placed an online order for toddler snow boots at 10 am, They were available in the size I wanted in 3 colors. I chose pickup in store. Did not ever get notified to pick them up so my daughter stopped in at 3:00pm. The employee at the counter was rude and asked "why would you come in when you haven't been notified?" and said they had not yet been pulled even though it had been over 5 hours. Another employee went to pull them and came back and said they were now out of stock and the order would be cancelled. I chatted with customer service online and asked them to cancel my order, which they did. Even though it says online that the card will not be charged until the order is picked up, I was told funds will drop off in 3-5 days. Very frustrated because I could have run out to the store and just purchased the boots this morning. Will not be back to DSW Jordan Creek!

I ordered two pairs of running trainers…

I ordered two pairs of running trainers on the 2nd of September and after numerous emails with chaodian I still have not received the trainers. I have asked to cancel the order and they have now stopped replying. It is theft and I strongly recommend not to buy anything through thiscompany it is utterly appalling. I am going to pursue this untill I either get the trainers I ordered or a full refund and then apology.

Promotion Scam

I was ordering a pair of shoes that I could have gotten from multiple different stores. I ordered from DSW because they had a promotion going on for a $100+ bag for free if you spent a certain amount of money. I ordered the shoes and a second item in order to get the promotion. I never received the bag and tracking showed they canceled it so I called customer service and they told me it was no big deal and basically to forget about it. Then I spoke to a manager and she told me she would try to send me the bag or "something similar" IF I bought something else from them. It's not like I really needed the bag but to offer a promotion only if you spend a certain amount then not doing it seems like false advertising to get people to spend more money. It is sketchy and I wouldn't believe any deals, coupons or offers you see on this website.

Disgusted in The Bahamas!!

On two separate occasions I placed orders, and within seconds of placing the order I realized that I made a mistake. But, DSW would NOT CANCEL the order. They have wasted a lot of money forcing customers to absorb purchases. I am now stuck with a pair of EXTRA WIDE shoes that I was not permitted to cancel within seconds of the order.
DSW can’t sustain their customer base doing business like this. I don’t live in the USA so it’s even more costly for me to make purchases. Companies like Amazon and many others are considerate of their customer base. They realize that keeping a client saves and makes them more successful.

Made a purchase for $367

Made a purchase for $367, now being charged twice. They are telling me they authorized my card for $367, then each time a pakage ships the authorize my card for the amount shipped. Even if those charges fall off they held over $700 in my account. Amazon charges when shipped, I’ve never experienced this. No more DSW for me!
