DO NOT trust this company

DO NOT trust this company. They sent me a pair of shoes that looked used and were very damaged. The inside of the box had some kind of powder inside that I didn’t feel comfortable touching. I have no idea what it was. They then claimed they sent me a replacement (I never asked for one!) and gave me zero assistance other than to keep wasting my time and being insanely incompetent. They are the worst company I’ve ever dealt with for customer service. Avoid at all costs. Order elsewhere.

I'm done with DSW

I will never shop in store or online with DSW again. After today I'm done. Ordered online to pick up in store. Store cancelled my order. they sent me 20% off coupon for my inconvenience. Ordered online but one shoe was too big so I took it back to store. I had them order a replacement and mail to the store since I didn't want the display shoe in my size. Went today and whoever sent my replacement shoe sent a totally different shoe. The manager (a rock would have at least said I'm sorry blah blah. She said nothing.) She seemed annoyed at me and the entire situation bu maybe that's her personality? Sorry but this is not my fault. The other employee at least apologized! The "manager" got a box of shoes and I asked her if that was the display she said no but when she opened the box she said oh well it wasn't the display when I got it. I left to try it on and looked at the bottom, it was dirty! I just asked for my money back. If the customer service sucks, you won't get any more of my money. OKC, OK

Cheap cheap cheap

The shoes I ordered came quickly. They didn’t fit so I returned them to a store. The staff were very nice. DSW has changed its routine under the guise of being green. When really it’s just being cheap. They don’t print out a hard copy return receipt anymore. When I asked for one, they had to print it out in the back room, have someone retrieve it and bring it upfront. Turns out it wasn’t a return receipt. It was just a copy of the original purchase receipt. When it came to buying more shoes, they don’t supply any type of bag other than ones you can purchase. They carry in store very limited stock of sizes and the coupons are not good on too many brands. I give it two stars because the workers are very nice, however, DSW procedures are very negative. I also found the same shoes cheaper at other stores even though they were on sale at DSW.

My order was not picked up at the…

My order was not picked up at the warehouse . It took 8 requests from myself that DSW canceled my order and give my money back. Took Over 3 weeks to get my money back and my request to speak to a supervisor has been refused. I will NEVER shop your store again. WORST customer service ever!!!!

Surprised by the poor reviews of DSW.

I've ordered lots of shoes/boots online from them over the years, without a hitch. Great selection, fun sales and prices, and ability to quickly accrue useable points.

Zero problems getting a refund. In fact, I returned 2 pairs this month (first time I've had to do that, and I chose to visit a local DSW store, for the first time). Both times, cashiers were friendly, handled my return fast, and refunds hit my account quickly.

I realize folks will have their own unique experiences. In my case, I have no complaints and I love DSW!

I ordered 2 pairs of shoes online they had different delivery dates which was fine. When I received the 2nd delivery it only had 1 shoe in the box whoever was in charge of packing the shoes never looked in the box just looked at the style and size label on the box. This is careless behavior I returned to Marlton NJ location where they were empathetic and replaced my order. Please emphasize to your staff to look inside the boxes before mailing

Will not refund my money to my original…

Will not refund my money to my original form of payment after I returned a pair of shoes. They owe me $60 and I don't think I will ever see it. I have emailed multiple times, and called customer service twice and have had no help at all. I cannot understand the person on the other end (heavy accent) and it was difficult to communicate my request with them. I will never give them my business again. Bad company to deal with.

Thieves

I ordered shoes for pickup on 4/15/24. After 10 days I called customer service they said the shoes were lost they ordered them again. I called after a couple of days because I never received any email so they said it would be ready on 5/6. I live in Glendale so my store for pickup was there but they sent my shoes to Downey which was so far from me. I called again I canceled the order on 5/7. today is May 14th I haven't received my refund yet I just checked my bank account I saw they charged me a different amount yesterday! they are stealing money from my bank account. it was my first and last time doing business with them.

Really DSW? Loyal costumer here who takes my daughter and her husband for shoes. Ariana??? Jumping on the I need sales bandwagon I see. Won’t be buying from you anymore till I see a shoe with that Tom plastered on it. Ridiculous

I ordered shoes on 4/21/24

I ordered shoes on 4/21/24, the money was taken from my account the next day.

Tonight it is 5/7/24 and the tracking information online states that the shoes have yet to be picked up by the shipping company.

I called customer service (CS) this evening to determine where the shoes might be located and what is preventing their shipment. The CS rep stated that the shoes were in a warehouse in Westhampton, NJ, which is approximately 15-20 from where I live. I asked why they had not been shipped and the CS went into this story, most of which I lost through the heavy Asian accent, but nevertheless, I sensed something was not right.

Why would a pair of shoes not be shipped the 20 miles to fulfill the order, if indeed, the shoes were actually at the location the CS stated.

I canceled the order and will no longer purchase items from this company online.

Mold

I recently ordered 3 pairs of shoes I wanted to decide among for a wedding I am attending.
The first pair arrived when I was not home, no email to say delivered and I was fortunate a family member was home to take in the house, an email was received the next day that it was just delivered. The 2nd pair came a day later and when I opened the box it was smashed and had no cover. I took a picture of it and then examined it. It seemed to be water damage and I smelled the shoes. One was fine, the other had an awful stench I almost vomited. MOLD. Very upset, it was sent to me like this, not damaged in shipment, the bag was sealed. Waited for the 3rd pair which said would be received May 3rd but did not arrive. Called DSW on May 4th and was told I would have by the 5th. Was offered a refund for moldy shoes or can look if available for replacement. I explained I needed it by Tues May 7th and a team member said available but would not be able to send unless regular delivery. Offered me a $10 refund on order and applied. Today as I write this on Sunday May 5th I looked up the order and said it would arrive tomorrow. I am very disgusted with DSW for many reasons. How can they send a customer mold shoes, what if I was allergic. Luckily my other half did not touch them because he is allergic to mold. I should have been accommodated with the pair sent to me overnight for my troubles. I was also not told the truth about when I would receive my 3rd pair.

I have been a loyal customer to DSW but after recent experiences that may change and I certainly will tell my friends and show them the picture of the damaged shoes I received.

Ordering online

Ordering online, forget about it. I’ve been trying to get my money back after I exchanged and then sent back a pair of shoes. First call to customer service, gave the gentleman the tracking number and he said yes I see that they are here. Was then told I would get an email showing the refund within 24 hours, well that never came. Called back the next day, spoke to a woman who said she saw that it was returned and would send me an email stating my refund. Instead an email came that said:
In regards to O#8232423685 we can see that you have made an exchange. I understand that you have returned the item back at the store however the store haven't changed the status yet. Once the store updates the exchange you will be rfunded for the same.
So which is it? The exchanged item has been returned. The agent stated they were received? What is the hold up on returning my money.
Never will I order from this company again.

I am disappointed that such a large company as dsw does not have any shoes for people who are tall and need larger shoe sizes. My husband and I can never buy shoes in a larger size. Women also need size 12 or 13 shoes. My husband is a size 14 and never wears anything in dsw either.

Absolutely shocking business,I placed my order they took the Cash £51 .00 then told me there was no record of the purchase, believe me I will pursue this matter 100% I've been in touch with my bank and contacted trading standards, don't touch this company I implore you.......
