I have created three accounts in succession and they have all been deactivated with no reason given. The third account was deactivated today which is the very same day that another user anonymously gifted me with core which in my opinion is not worth it. I have not been able to discuss this with a person mediator or anyone because you can't talk to a real person and by the way they do not refund anything so if you paid for a whole year they take it. I've had nothing but good experiences with the other artists all of them being so kind but this website is terrible because of the people who run it. I am now looking for alternatives to deviantArt because I cannot tolerate them any further.

negative 3 stars. went back on there to find my saved (private) artwork, and its nowhere to be found. can't find any of it, nor the manage deviations tab and have been looking for at least a solid 20 minutes. I need those artworks for (well, not only that they took hours to complete) but I need them for a job/portfolio. I can't find how to contact them, so I'm resorting to trustpilot, and maybe they'll answer but... DOUBT. I've been on this website since junior high.... put aside that there has been a fetish p*rn problem on this site for over a decade, this site is just absolute horse manure. It's sad that you have to talk ish about these companies on social media now to get a response.... and we'll see if I even get that here. I've been perusing through their "contact" and about use forever now and still no way to contact them, no email, no phone number, nothing. 0 accountability. I wouldn't have recommended them to begin with, but now I will actively try to stop others from using them if I find out they do. not worth the trouble. because the second you log in like 3 days ago it will start to show very inappropriate art depicting a fictional character which they underage show feet and dont get me started on the AI this is a art website? then AI defeats the point just go to pixiv

My Core Max Account was Deactivated Indefinitely on or about 3-8-26. After 6 months of having the Core Max Account which I never did get my 5 free boosts each month which I complained to the support group about several times. I disputed the fact I was posting inappropriate images but was told I couldn't appeal the Indefinite Suspension & that half of the $192 I paid to get the Core Max Account which I had remaining on my core max account wouldn't be refunded. I felt the images I was posting were no different than what lot of other members were posting. Their rules for images posted are pretty much left to the interpretation of the reader & are almost impossible to follow unless you are just posting images of Daisy's ... IMO

This site has fallen, and fallen rather badly. Deviant Art now relies on poorly trained AI moderation, where if you want to post underage material and/or Furry (including furry underage) material or chose to make it through Deviant Art's "Dream Up" AI art system, you are welcome with open arms, and can do no wrong in the management's opion.

If however you choose to make obviously 18+ images of human males/females and with following Deviant Arts own "Etiquette Policy" and/or have to submit a trouble ticket, then the management will respond to you, but will also suspend/cancel your account as you had to have management do their actual job.

It is heartbreaking to see such a site that was once beloved turn so vile and toxic.

If you are an artist planning to sell digital designs or Premium Downloads on DeviantArt, run away. There is a massive loophole that scammers are actively exploiting, and DeviantArt does absolutely nothing to protect its creators.

Here is how the scam works: Buyers purchase your digital files, download them immediately (handled automatically by DA's system), and then issue a chargeback or dispute. DA refunds them automatically without any investigation.

The result? The scammer gets to keep your artwork for free, and your earnings are entirely wiped out. I recently lost $50 in a single day to a user who bought multiple files, downloaded all of them, and then refunded everything. This is not an isolated incident; "friendly fraud" is rampant here.

DeviantArt has the backend logs proving the files were downloaded, yet they refuse to cover the loss or protect the seller. Until they fix this glaring issue, selling digital goods here is basically letting people shoplift your hard work. Go to platforms that actually respect and protect their sellers.

It really is one of the most unresponsive ghost towns I have ever witnessed in my life. DeviantArt has been one of the emptiest and boring experiences EVER. You can't get any kind of recognition from anyone on that site. I would say about 93% of it is just waiting, and waiting, and waiting for some kind of feedback or attention or acknowledgement from the site or the people on it. It is so excrutiatingly boring.

It really is a boring arse website. It is the problem all websites on this modern algorithm have these days. Too many lurkers and its almost as if the life has been sucked right out of the website. Everything moves incredibly slowly on there. You may as well just post stuff privately or be offline. It really is a lot more anticlimactic than you would expect. You would expect some kind of feedback or something from all over the globe. You should not have to wait 3 hours just for a fave or two.

But yes, some of the pictures on there are really disgusting in the rule 34 domain. It goes too far too often. All it seems to care about is who can be the most gross and nothing else has any kind of reaction whatsoever. The algorithm really is one of the worst things I have ever seen. It's wrist slittingly boring.

I have been on Deviant for over 13 years and I have seen the changes. Some forever not for better, as John sang, but the AI Bots with a lack of Human interaction in the submissions process are ruining this site for me. An image I sent to customer service of two images side by side; the images are exactly the same except one has text and the other does not, the image with the text was blocked, yet the image with out the text was fine. But when I brought this obvious error to DA's attention, the response from Nick is a copy n paste response that this is final and there will be no further review.

Nick ryhmes,,,,, with everything you need it to (wink, wink) You obviously didn't bother to even look at the damn image! Plus, when you set up your loaded images to sell as either Premium or Exclusive, people just go into your Shop and take them for FREE! And if you load images into your Subscription Tier, it also loads into your Feature gallery, even though you left it UNchecked! The DA instructions to prevent this says to click on the Who Can See This? button and click, Only Subscribers, but there is no such button that I can see. If it is there, it is way to hard to find. When I need help on DA, I go to Gemini because it is way to hard to get a human contact through DA. I have told them about that years ago, saying they need an easy way to contact them, and they always respond with instructions on what I have to do, instead of hearing my point.

I'm here for the art, the technical "glitching," and the occasional reminder that behind the prompts, there’s still a guy with a guitar and a memory of how things used to be.

I have been falsely accused of a rule violation of underage sexual content based on a false report. I have the evidence proving my innocence of the rule violation (I sent them an affidavit, evidence from AnimeGenius, and evidence of somebody bragging they will false report me) but so far, my account has not been reinstated, and I have asked for my account DATA as I have months and months of hard work on my DeviantArt account I may never get back. I filed a complaint with the BBB and written blog articles about this problem. DeviantArt bans people over false reports without actually reviewing over the evidence. I sent them proof, evidence. My character has a disclaimer statement saying my character is an 100 year old angel girl nudist character. She clearly is an adult character. I have evidence I asked AI to generate "adult" character images, not minors. I didn't violate their rules because the accusation is meritless. I been banned from their platform due to a false claim against me.

They are Robbers. Just Robbers. They stole me nearly 300$.
They canceled my account. Which had a value of 300$.

L'un de mes amis qui à un compte sur Deviantart.com m'a dit qu'il est tomber au hasard sur des images et des vidéos explicites extrêmement immondes et dégoûtant générer par IA impliquant des créatures,des monstres ainsi que des insectes géants(donc de la zoophilie dégueulasse d'un compte situé en corée selon les informations du créateur de ce genre d'image)s'accouplent avec des humains(surtout des femmes),je ne voulais pas la croire mais quand il m'a montré les comptes de c'est créateurs core(avant de les bloqués pour qu'ils n'apparaissent plus dans ses recherches et algorithme deviantart)j'ai eu une envie de vomir. Mon ami à essayé plusieurs fois de signaler les comptes de ceux qui génére ce genre de contenu vomitifs mais malheureusement les modérateurs corrompus de ce site n'ont jamais réagit.Mon ami m'a dit que jusqu'à aujourd'hui il signale encore des compte immonde de cette catégorie,et que l'inaction des modérateurs envers ce genre de contenu commence sérieusement à l'agacer et à cause de celà qu'il va définitivement supprimer sont compte deviantart(qu'il à depuis 2018).Je pense qu'il faudrait vraiment que quelqu'un qui à un minimum de moralité rachète ce site pour faire un nettoyage complet en interdisant ce genre de contenu abominables

I was a victim to deviatArt on 12/1/25, when the website expelled me, due to my "erotic" artworks on underage/minors, which they were not!

After nearly eighteen years, that website threw me under the bus and painted their heart black, w/ all these rules!

This website is absolute trash. Some sellers are just stealing art and selling it, showing zero respect for the original creators' hard work. They're just money-hungry and disgusting. The platform doesn't even care—they just let them keep profiting from it.
