Okay, so lemme just break it down a bit:

Pixies is still a good platform for anime and manga images. But I've been a member of Pixiv for almost 10 years now, and I have to say, it's not getting any better.
What strikes me negatively is the increasing flood of AI images and R18 content.

First, my messaging function was permanently blocked without any explanation. The support is poor and unresponsive.

And what about the app? Why do full-screen ads keep popping up that I can't close?
I contacted support about this and only received a standard response. I always thought Japanese people had a little more sensitivity and respect.

I can't even log in, because Captcha does not appear. And when trying to contact support, they keep asking me to check the box agreeing to the privacy policy, which I do, but every time I hit send, the site freezes up.
(I already enabled all cookies, disabled all adblockers and the VPN, and am on Firefox. Last time I got in without having to do all that)

Pixiv is a sack of shit that is selective about copyright infringement (They're totally fine with it as long as it fits their dog shit criteria/narrative)

If you are an artist, they literally will not allow you to post your other links, like twitter, paypal, patreon, etc.
Because they NEED to control what you post even if it is off their platform.

If you are an artist, stay away from pixiv, unless if you are Japanese. The website is extremely xenophobic and if you are not japanese they will always enforce their sh*tty rules but not if you are japanese.

They REALLY hate any artists who are NOT Japanese lol

No matter what I do, the layout goes blank and I can't figure out how to fix it.

Every time the layout breaks, I had to use a whole different account or browser and see the layout break yet again.

I had previously used Pixiv FANBOX a few times and liked it. I signed up for a free trial of Pixiv Premium that I was offered by e-mail, just to see what it was like. By the time the end of the trial came, I thought it was nice, but I didn't want to continue it at the time due to financial reasons. Apparently my cancellation didn't work correctly; maybe there was a website error or something. I know I tried to cancel. But I was still charged for a YEAR's subscription. Pixiv has refused to give me back my money, saying they can only refund me for "technical errors" and ignoring the fact that this WAS probably a technical error. I've explained to them multiple times what happened and begged for my money back but they won't give it back. Paypal won't help. I'm extremely angry and disappointed in Pixiv's terrible customer service. This is pure theft. I am poor, I am disabled, I make very little money and pixiv stole $40 from me.

The biggest art website in the world with more than 98 million registered account. According to Google trends it is not very popular in west, mostly popular in Japan, China (Taiwan/Hongkong) Korea, asean region. I using a web translator app for novel works and a screen translator app for manga works and i also trying to learn the language.

The rules is basically: they not allowing any real photo, or any art what can be mistaken to a photo (3DCG/ai) since it caused problems with the site moderation earlier but not anymore. They not allowing any art what is illegal in Japan (like adult r-18 art without mosaic censorship) and not allowing hate towards and actual person/group, most people are banned from pixiv for this reasons even they think it is ok. Yes pixiv are allow more but in drawing/stilized 3D not realistic 3DCG ones and not against actual person/group just fictional ones. if i saw a misterous link i didn't clicked, but lately i also not seeing misterious links so looks like they improved the site's moderation without restricted the artistic freedom too much.

They have some extra restrictions in they paywalled sites (booth webshop/fanbox art support site) because of the international attention, i think MasterCard maybe Visa forced it. Lately pixiv also added some regional restrictions based on location, so people who living in a region where the laws is not compatible with the site rules can be avoid some artwork if they didn't changed they region settings.

Why the neutral review: Pixiv also have features as premium what are free features in other art websites like block more than one tag, or shorting the artworks by popularity. Earlier i experienced slow image loading but nowadays it is faster.

This was a deviant art alternative, and for a while it was pretty cool and easy to use. I use the site to post in game images I take from playing the game Fallout 4. I only take pictures of Jill Valentine feet and use my images for foot fetish. Just look at me profile pic to get a general consensus.
However, I just got my account suspended for no reason whatsoever! I didn't post anything wrong, all I post is ingame Fallout 4 pictures I take while playing. Meanwhile you've got pedo content flooding this website, you even have people posting cp in the comments like links to Young Paradise and all of that. Don't try to hide it now! How are you gunna suspend my account, when I was using the site correctly and posting legal content, but others were posting illegal content? Well guess who's snitching. That's right, me!
This site is unsafe for your teens, its loaded with underaged content, worse than anything you've ever seen. Pix uses all of this unsafe content just like Tumblr did to gain popularity, now they are trying to clean up, but this is literally what's holding them all together. Plus, they have a massive amount of AI generated art by people, so most of the time you won't see any real art by people. It won't last long before it gets completely taken down, so I wouldn't even waste your time coming here, you don't want to get wrapped up in all of this.

Seriously how is are these images ok to show? Is it a culture thing? Any where else in the world this website would be shut down.

Lack of freedom of expression based on its own rules so that you can't use any references or idea when making your works.
In addition, they directly delete your account instead of giving you what is known as a "strike"

Bought a custom service from a creator a few days ago, and the next day the creator's page is suspended. By contacting the creator it turns out they won't enable the creator's page but also won't give back the subscribers the money they spent on a service they won't get. I wrote them and they never answered. Scammers.

Pixiv is the worst website i've seen because they are allowing art thief, they are allowing people to post extremely disgusting art from character which actually not naughty, even worse they are allowing illegal content like child p*rn !!!
How is this legal? People who work behind this website must be jailed for something illegal like that !!!

Also they charge you for basic feature like blocking user, what makes this feature pathetic is that block actually isn't block but more like mute, while mute actually is what block should've been but they only allow 1 mute for free user, want to mute other? You gotta pay for their stupid subscription.
Also want to delete pixiv account? Goodluck finding the button to delete account because it doesn't exists on account setting, in fact i have to browse the link from Bing to found it which is very frustrating. They did this because they keep losing users but their business practice is beyond shady and terrible!!!

Great art. Slow servers, takes ages to load

Pixie is a great site for looking at your favorite art from Asian artists.

Unregulated beyond relief. It would seem that the information security and administration staff off the website doesn’t really understand and or care about the content that is uploaded onto their website. The lack of 2FA/MFA and filtering algorithms have allowed users to upload illegal content on the sites with multiple burner/alt accounts resulting in bans being useful in the slightest. The amount of REAL child pornography and illegal links/marketing recirculating through the website via such alt accounts has become sickening yet laughable. If you are an artist looking to show off your fanart/skills/art then I would stay well clear of PIXIV for the time being until the owners provide better management of their services.
