My dentist stopped accepting my plan. I was not notified of this until the day before my dental appointment. I called to cancel my policy as I want to continue with this dentist, I was told it was after 60 days so I could not cancel, even though the terms changed. Pasha was fairly rude. I asked to speak to a supervisor. I was told I would be called in 24-72 hours. No supervisor has called.

Winston at CIGNA dental savings was an enormous help to me when setting up my plan. He patiently walked me through a very complicated process of creating a new account. Highly recommend!

Update: After no response through the website's chat I called customer service. (who are helpful and competent.) The first person gave me two locations he said had confirmed their acceptance of the plan within 6 mo. I called both, neither took it. One even refused to give me information on what they do take unless I scheduled an appointment. luckily, while on the phone with the other they mentioned that usually the only plans accepted are those backed by insurance companies like Cigna. So, I called customer service back requesting a refund - instead they offered me to switch to the Cigna discount dental plan for no additional cost. I accepted, and finally have an appointment at the only dentist that gave me helpful information. I've increased my rating from 1 star to two because customer service was kind, helpful, and did help me resolve the issue. Still I would suggest not using dental plans.com and instead just purchase a dental plan (backed by an insurance plan) directly on the provider company's website. While I appreciate the quality of the (telephone only) customer service, the platform itself is terrible.

The dental plan (Patriot) I selected has very few dentists even listed in less than 30 minutes to me area. (I could not find a way to get accurate information on which plans are accepted by dentists in my specific area before purchasing.) It looks like many, as each dentist at each location is listed (one has at least 7 different dentists listed from the same location) but really there are only about 6 or 8 different results. At least 4 of those are 30 minutes away. Of the others the first location I called (the one listing the most dentists) has moved. The next two I called do not accept the plan. I tried to start a conversation with chat to figure out how to get this resolved - refunding the Patriot plan for another perhaps - but there is no one responding. The chat timed out on its own while I waited... crickets. I have had success with this platform 15 or so years ago, but at this point this is apparently nothing but another scam to steal your money. I will have no choice but to contest the membership charge with my bank and report to Better Business Bureau unless this is resolved expeditiously. How disappointing and completely ridiculous
