Do NOT spend money here!!!!!!!
I believe Coverd’s practices are deceptive because it accepted my money, allowed me to play, displayed approximately $3,325.95 as “Coverd Cash,” and only explained the restrictions on redeeming those winnings after I attempted to withdraw them. I was then told that only a small portion was redeemable and given explanations involving promotional balances, unlocking percentages, and separate redemption rules that had not been clearly disclosed before I deposited or played.
I repeatedly asked Coverd to identify where, before accepting my money, it disclosed that the displayed balance could be subject to different rules or that thousands of dollars might not be redeemable. I requested the terms in effect when I deposited, the promotional terms applicable to my account, evidence showing when and how those terms were presented, and a complete transaction and promotional ledger explaining how my balance was classified.
I could not find basic redemption information in the app before attempting to withdraw, did not learn the redemption minimum until then, and was not clearly warned that accepting a promotion could make much of my displayed balance effectively non-redeemable. These explanations appeared only after I won and tried to collect. My complaint is therefore not that I misunderstood a clearly disclosed rule, but that material restrictions were revealed only after Coverd accepted my money.
Because Coverd has not provided satisfactory evidence of prior disclosure, I have:
* Repeatedly challenged Coverd support and requested the specific disclosures, terms, and promotional rules that supposedly governed my account.
* Requested documentation showing when and how those terms were presented to me.
* Requested my transaction and promotional ledger explaining the $3,325.95 balance.
* Filed complaints with the Alabama Attorney General and the New York Attorney General’s Internet & Technology Bureau.
* Begun documenting the matter with the Better Business Bureau.
* Preserved screenshots and communications showing what the app displayed versus what Coverd later claimed.
I am not complaining because I lost money. I won, and the dispute began when I tried to collect the balance the app represented as mine. If Coverd believes its restrictions applied, it should provide dated evidence showing that they were clearly disclosed and agreed to before it accepted my money and allowed me to play.
My requested resolution is simple: Coverd should honor the $3,325.95 balance generated through my gameplay or provide verifiable evidence that the restrictions it now relies on were clearly disclosed before I deposited and played.
