Hi all, i dont normally do this kind of thing but hope this helps.
My Stepfather sadly passed away Nov 2023.
Fortunately ive never had to deal with this kind of thing before like Probate etc so appointed Countrywide to deal with everything.
What perhaps should of been a straightforward Probate Application & final estate distribution situation turned into a real nasty vindictive dispute with other family members over the last will & testament of my stepfather.
A caveat was registered on the Probate Application by another family member & certain things became unnecessarily hurtful & complicated.
I am so pleased that we had Countrywide in our corner to deal with this very upsetting uncalled for legal wrangle.
George Mathison our case handler really dealt with things professionally. Things finally got resolved this week.
All I can say is that Death & Wills can sometimes bring out the greed & ugliness in people, because you are in grief & mourning it's very important to have a person to deal with things effectively on your behalf.
If I was told 2 years ago that I would go through what I've just experienced with supposedly close family members I would not of believed them.
Still in shock about it all but now life moves on.
Highly recommend this company.

Read the reviews before it's too late!
They take 1month to do each step (reply to emails, send forms for filling in, arrange meetings). Their lack of urgency is either because they don't have enough staff in post-sales roles, or they can't be bothered.
Nothing happens without YOU chasing them.
I only needed 1 form completing by them (as trustees), but have had to endure 4 months of pointless forms, irrelevant information requests, and general lack of action.

I have complained about this on every email/call, but they don't care about customer satisfaction. This is still ongoing, so either they'll react to this review and improve their quality of service so I can up the review rating... or they'll continue to be inept and I'll leave another review to warn off other from making the same mistake that we did with CTT.

Countrywide trust were extremely helpful and diligent and I recommend them to anyone looking to set up a trust. Special mention to Hadir Ali who went out of his way to help me.

Mr Chad Nagra went above and beyond to help myself and family at a difficult time. He was very professional, knowledgeable and approachable, whilst providing an excellent service. I would highly recommend him.

Katie Hughes was excellent, helping me through every step of the admin process to get set up and running. Countrywide Probate Department, and in particular George Mathison, were fantastic with supporting us through the probate process. Very quick response times and excellent listening skills to ensure that they always understood our questions and/or concerns before responding with both professional and comprehensive answers. Service was 1st class. Thank you George and Countrywide.

We arranged a trust with Countrywide some years ago to protect our assets. Unfortunately, my wife passed away just before Christmas 2024/2025. I was struggling, with how to ensure all my wife assets where properly registered with banks, building society etc. I contacted Chad from Countrywide, who came to a meeting at my home address, and talked me through how to complete probate on line, and what should be declared.

Consultant Mr Hadir Ali worked on my requests with professionalism and efficiency

Louise Nutt from the Trust Registration Service has been very helpful assisting me in registering the transfer from Countrywide to myself as Lead Trustee with HMRC. She's been patient, and replied promptly to my emails.

Kajal Patel looks after my affairs at Countrywide. She is super-efficient and I have found her very easy to work with.

Further to my recent review I continue to be disappointed and frustrated by this company.
We needed a document signed from them which after my last review they did, but the land registry service said it was incorrectly executed. My solicitor has contacted several times to rectify....as usual....nothing!

A very informative initial meeting with Bhav who immediately followed this up with a comprehensive summary of our options and associated costs. This also included advice and guidance regarding the several questions we raised.
Once we had decided on what we wanted to do this was completed promptly and in a very professional manner.
Throughout the process communications with CTT in general and Bhav in particular have been exemplary.

The comments here are about 1 particular employee. He was helpful, reliable and did exactly what he said he would. It is true to say, that with large organisations, it can sometimes be difficult to find someone to actually deal with a problem - one often feels passed around. Hadir Ali dealt with my problem efficiently and kept me updated throughout. He resolved a problem that had been hanging around for a very long time within a couple of days. A credit to Countrywide!

I sent an email query to Chad Nagra in your probate department he emailed the answer to me the same afternoon with additional information that more than clarified my query. Service plus.
I had a software problem and Ray resolved it the same afternoon. Service plus
Ive had a few problems with the software my misunderstanding Not a CTTC fault and Gilly Ransom in the partnership team took great pains to demonstrate where i was going wrong and is arranging a zoom meeting for me. She also gave up her lunch break during this period for my benefit. She is a great asset for CTTC.
I have found on occasions when i have telephoned your office that the staff are always pleasant and eager to help you.

I have been trying to get CW to send the deeds to my late father's house to me since August 2024 to no avail. I then hired a solicitor and she has been trying since October 2024. She has phoned twice a day since then if she is lucky someone answers and says someone will phone her back (this never happens) as for email I don't think anyone ever opens them up. I have had a buyer for the house since October and my solicitor has explained this but they don't seem to care they are in no rush to do anything!!!!!! It is now getting to the end of January 2025 let's see what this brings !!

From day one George our Case Handler has been so helpful with the whole probate process. I'm so glad our friend Pete set this up as I don't know where we would have been without them. We can't thank him enough, great communication right the way through. Highly recommend!
