Very good experience with the Cotswold Company - quick and easy delivery when we in desperate need of a sofa and side table in our new house. Great delivery men too - Ian and Gareth were awesome and so helpful assembling the furniture and taking away all the packaging. Would highly recommend.

Having spent almost £8,000 with the Cotswold Company over the past 18 months I assumed that I’d be treated as a loyal customer.
I was wrong.
We have some dark blue pieces of furniture which are prone to damage resulting in white marks showing through the dark blue. I contacted customer services to ask about getting some information regarding touch up paint.
After various hoops had been jumped through ( all the order numbers , details of damage, all our details etc ) I was surprised to find there was no paint matching information available, just that Farrow and Ball made similar coloured paint which would not be a true match!
Eventually I spoke to a human being and was pleased when Mandy promised a colour matched paint pen from Cotswold Company which would be sent to me asap.
Five minutes after that conversation I received an email rescinding that promised small quantity of paint, and was told I would have to pay £9.99 for the paint pen and they would kindly!!!! waive the £5.00 p and p.
I am beyond frustrated by this.
They also suggested that I should take a ‘piece’ of the furniture to B and Q to get it colour matched! The larder cupboard in question is 140 kilos and with no removable parts and the chairs are also too big to fit into my car .
B and Q is over 30 miles away .
I am 72 years old and I’ve never encountered customer service as dreadful as this. Avoid this company .

The team in store were really helpful. It was nice to see the product in store and speak to someone, an actual person, be able to ask their opinion and get advice.

All the staff we have have been extremely helpful, their advice has demonstrated their knowledge of your products.
Our items have only just been ordered so cannot comment on the delivery service.

The staff in the Harpenden store were friendly and helpful without being overbearing, both when we visited the store and when it came to placing the order over the phone a few days later.

I would really recommend looking around this store. The furniture is high quality and actually at a significantly reduced price. There’s lots to browse for whichever room you are shopping for. The sales advisor Jess was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Warm and friendly service on three separate visits. Helpful without being pushy. When I decided what I wanted to do, the sales process was straight forward and speedy. The other items I will be buying were not in your sale, so will purchase separately over the next few weeks.

Bookcase arrived quickly and is of great quality. Delivery was excellent. Ryan and Chris did a stellar job getting the heavy item up two flights of stairs.

Great company to deal with. Furniture is a good quality and have received many compliments on the style and comfort.
Delivery service has been good with up to date arrival messages. Last delivery was by Marlon & Damian - very friendly & cheerful. One item of the order was not loaded onto the van but they dealt with this in a professional manner and I was contacted by customer service shortly afterwards.
All in all great service from the staff in the Stamford store to delivery.

Ordered a bed and some bedside tables, and was impressed by the quality and the service. Shop staff were friendly, the quality of the items is good and where assembly was needed it was straightforward, and Graeme and Siu-pai did a good job of getting a large bed frame up some narrow stairs (and very politely took their shoes off while doing so, which was much appreciated!)

Everyone was kind and welcoming, on of the pillows I picked up had a defect and the shop assistant found out before me and replaced it. Great service!

All went well, the “up to 40%” discount equated to £200 over an extending dining table, a grande dresser and 4 upholstered dining chairs so somewhat disappointing.
Then we agreed a delivery date of September 11th but confirmation states the 8th when we expressly gave our ability to receive the items.
Having ordered on a Saturday of a Bank Holiday, we hope we are able to rearrange without penalty.

Recently fitted out a home office using Cotswold Co office furniture.
All went well until the delivery of my filing cabinet.
The two delivery guys refused to take the filing cabinet upstairs into my box room.
I had specifically requested this online - but they left it in the hallway.
My wife and myself are both in our 70's - old age pensioners. No way could we lift that cabinet up the stairs. But the two delivery guys could not care less.
They left the cabinet blocking the hallway with no way of getting it upstairs.
Cotswold Co furniture is of good quality but the delivery people are contractors - not company employees.
So they are not interested in customer satisfaction and they leave a bad impression with Cotswolds customers.

Very friendly service from the gentleman in the Stow-on-the-Wold store, rang ahead to check they’d got the items we wanted to view, and made our order there and then - being sure to pay for delivery to an upstairs room. We were given a delivery date and the items arrived very quickly, all the packaging taken away, Very happy with the look and quality. About to make another purchase with them to update another room. Lovely store in a beautiful location, lots of stock, worth a visit.

I ordered two rugs, both of which were of such disappointing quality that I decided to return. Returns require an account, even if the buyer has checked out as a guest, and oddly this information is not mentioned in the Returns section on the website. Being from Outer Mongolia (AKA Northern Ireland,UK) the return process then became extremely arduous, necessitating multiple emails and phone calls and a huge amount of wasted time, exacerbated by poor performance by DPD (who were organised to collect but didn't show). Eventually I had to pay for the return postage, take a copy of the receipt and email same to be re-imbursed. Mostly, the operators were helpful but the process is hugely flawed. Awarded 2 stars because once posted, the refund came through very promptly, to include the return postage.

James & Bevan were great, super helpful and efficient.

Love this company, furniture made very well. It’s my go to shop when looking for new pieces for my home.
