DO NOT BUY WARRANTY FROM CHARLES HURST.

They won’t help you and will just pass you round the houses for over an hour. It is a complete waste of money and they are not helpful. Good to buy the car from but then once they’ve sold you the car they don’t want to know.

Horrendous Customer Service

Called Charles Hurst Seat to order alloys for my car. I paid for them upon order and was told they would arrive in 2 weeks. Once the 2 weeks were up I gave them a call and was told 3 alloys had arrived but they were waiting on the 4th one. I was then told my a member of staff they would call me back with an estimated timeframe. A few days went by and I had heard nothing so I called again enquiring on an update. Once again I was told I’d get a call back but this time by a manager. I received no response from the manager so had to call again 3 more times to speak to a manager. I was told they cannot give me a timeframe. I gave them an additional 2 weeks to receive the remaining alloy but again it had not yet arrived. I was then asked to come up and look at the alloys that had arrived before I decided to receive a refund (they looked great and I couldn’t wait). I then agreed to wait longer to receive the remaining alloy and received a text on 17/7/24 stating it should arrive today. I phoned once again today and was told it had not arrived and they would look into it. I finally had enough and asked for them to be cancelled. It has been almost 7 weeks since I placed this order and I feel the customer service has been awful. They cannot give a time frame. The staff say they cannot get through to the supplier to find out what has happened. The communication between the staff and customers is horrendous as you have to keep phoning to find out what has happened as they never give you any updates. Would never order any parts through there again.

My daughter needs a part which opens…

My daughter needs a part which opens the boot of her landrover discovery 2018. This part was ordered by the mechanic in March 2024. It is now 25.07.2024 and the part is still not in. Sadly i would not touch a landrover if this is the availability of parts needed to open a boot. She has 3 children 6 years of age and below and has had to use the rear seat to load her boot with prams etc. Not good enough from a massive company like landrover.

Stereo type car dealer

I can’t give a full review just now. But Iv been waiting on repairs for 6 months. These were to be completed when I bought the car. But stupidly I went ahead and bought it in the promise I would have all repairs completed within a few weeks. 6 months later and still not complete.

Months waiting on a part. Service appalling

Months waiting on a part. Was told it had been replaced. One day later faulty again. Called back and was told it was not replaced, only “tweaked”. Booked back in. Arrived and again told no part and it could only be “tweaked” again. Then told the first man hadn’t “tweaked” it properly and it should be fine now until parts came in. Next day part failure again. Several months later got a phone call the part was in. Booked it in and asked to make sure the part was saved for my car.

Dropped off car at 11am. Left the dealership at 1140 to do a message. Got a phone message ten minutes later to say the part wasn’t there. Have just got back at 1.45pm to be told the Asst Service Manager had got a part from his “supply” and they were putting it on now. Neglected to tell me that until I returned. Argued with me for several minutes over who I spoke to originally even though I have emails from him and had a lengthy phone conversation with him. Apparently it was important to him that I also spoke to another member of staff who had conveniently left. Service is absolutely appalling.

I felt that the ‘issues’ raised should…

I felt that the ‘issues’ raised should have been incorporated in the service and had expected when I collected the car after the service it ought to have had everything that needed to be seen to i.e. air conditioning fluid etc seen to. Not satisfied at all.

Avoid at all cost

Avoid at all cost! I bought a car from their Used Direct branch in Belfast back in December 2023. We found a few faults at the test drive that they were supposed to fix prior to delivery. They delivered a car with things only partially fixed or not fixed at all. Ever since I’m being fobbed off and every time I’m contacting them they are saying that someone will be in touch to book in for repairs but they never do! They are by far the worst company I have ever dealt with. Nothing but lies from the very start as at first they were trying to deliver me a car that had no MOT. When I questioned that they said they didn’t know that MOT has expired! Car dealership that is trying to sell a car without MOT - that says all. Save yourself time and money and go elsewhere.

A truly wonderful experience.

Recognising me from year to year was very nice. The service was quick and easy with all the information I needed to ensure my car was roadworthy. A very pleasant waiting area and friendly staff.

Charles Hurst Potadown!

i went to charles hust portadown to check my car Audi and my car is under warranty which i paid my warranty for £1678 in my mind that ,incase there are a problem i could send it to Charles hurst and check it however, when my car has problem which is my car suddenly stopping or stalling in some occasion so i brought it to Charles hurst to be checked,then after 3 hrs checking my car they said i have to pay £135.00 which is i was shocked,and said why i have to pay this amount which is my car still in warranty?they havent change the battery just findout that is battery problem which is another cost me of £260..so i told them not to change now,,bit i was suprise that i need to pay for £135 which is i believe that my car is underwarranty i dont need to pay any,,nor they havent do much work in my car just diognostic..i end up pay only £108 but at the end i was forced to pay because i cant take my car the agent said it to me if i dont pay that amount and im not happy...So because its already getting late i was in tears paying this car check up which they said its battery issue.I think this car check up still under warranty...I was thinking why i had pay this extended warranty cost me £1678 if everytime i need my car check they will charge me?i think this is not pair..i will ask advise with the solicitor about this..But i would glad if Charles Hurst will take action about my issues.

Lies and messed around

My daughter bought a car from them , told car was all checked and serviced, very next day oil light came on not enough oil in engine, had car less than 3 weeks engine over heated and car had to be towed home . Rang them and told them what happened told us the ring there place Dublin, they messed us around passing the buck from one to other no one rang us never rang back when they said the would , took 26 days to get car fixed and never gave her a car for the hole time , don't care just take it money , and you have to fight to get anything done if car goes wrong. Never buy a car from them ..
