Bought a car of David porter sales man in belfast. Was good to deal with. Had few things needed done to the car before could take it. All was done as promised.

Happy to take my money and then not do as they promised. Had agreed to remove marks on sill which i had noticed and also service it. I bought the car on the 3rd May and neither was done even though I had mentioned it about 3 times so I agreed to take it back to Portadown as they had also noticed at the time of sale the reversing camera was also not working and I had noticed the seat belt broken on the test drive. We agreed that it would be fixed on the 3rd June and also serviced. I live in Belfast so not just around the corner. To the service manager Amanda's credit she had sorted me a car while mine was in for the service and repairs. When I came back to collect it 6 hours later I was told that I would have to come back again as they only diagnosed the problem,although they clearly knew what was needed. When I asked to speak to the salesman Paul he was allegedly away doing an MOT so I spoke to the sales manager Daniel who apologised and said that it was always being diagnosed even though they knew what was needed done.He said he would sort everything but his talk was cheap as he didn't. Needless to say I wasn't happy and asked them to arrange for the camera and seat belt to be fixed at the local ford dealer 2 minutes from my house instead of the car having to go to Portadown again. I was told that the car should never been on the forecourt as they had already known about the problems and should have been sorted before being put up for sale.In hindsight the car wouldn't have been road worthy as the seat belt was broken and shouldn't have been sold. The lack of communication from Paul the salesman happy to have got the money and Daniel sales manager who promised to sort out issues was absolutely shocking. I hope the service was completed as the marks on the sill weren't which I ended up doing myself after another apology from Daniel. I emailed several times and eventually I got a reply from Daniel but they never came back to say I could get the car fixed at my local ford dealership so I went to them myself and they sorted it very quickly. I feel sorry for Amanda who was totally professional and had to deal with Paul and Daniel's lack of communication as they are happy to take your money and run. I received a survey from Charles Hurst to fill in about my experiences with Charles Hurst but needless to say there was a fault and it wouldn't open which sums it all up.
I will never go back to the Portadown branch as my experience was horrendous except for Amanda.

I purchased a brand new defender from the Belfast dealership. They asked me to pay the £320.00 car tax with the price of the car which I did. 2 Months later I was staggered to find that the DVLA sent me a letter stating I had not taxed the car. The dealer told me to pay it and they would send me a cheque. So I did. The dealer sent me a cheque made payable to the DVLA which I can't bank. The dealer apologised and asked me to send it back to them and they will reissue another cheque. After numerous phone call and emails I have still not been refunded. I have also not had a reason from them to explain why they will not pay me. They could have sorted this out very quickly. Who uses cheques nowadays anyway ?

Recently bought my car off Glenn at Charles hurst and I couldn’t have had a better experience from the moment I arrived and picked the car to then collecting it was a very quick turnaround! I would defo recommend Glenn at charles hurst Newtownabbey!!

Go to James in bike sales. Found him friendly, helpful and courteous. Made up for my previous experience , which put me off the bike I bought and off returning.
Hopefully the great customer will continue. I have been buying from Hurst bikes for 30 years and had allows enjoyed the experience.

I bought a used Kia from Charles Hurst Dave Porter a few months ago. Daves professionalism, attention to detail, genuine care and reliability has been consistent. I would highly recommend buying a used car off Dave and also taking out the charles hurst warranty for peace of mind. I would also like to thank Dave for the efficient way he referred me to Michael at Kia boucher for solving an issue I had which was sorted within 1 day. A HUGE Thankyou .

Got a Renault Clio off David Annett in Newtownards. He was so informative and friendly and nothing was a problem for him. Took his time to explain all the operating systems in the car to my daughter WOW would so recommend David to anyone. 12 out of 10 for the customer service alone. Thank you so much.

I love Citroën cars went to Charles Hurst staff are amazing was directed to Lauren I picked a Citroën c4 in red it would take awhile for the car to be made because its a different red with a hint of glitter when sun hits it it took 4 months I didn't mind that Lauren kept me up to date on everything collection of car yesterday was fantastic Lauren talked to us on Everything the car does it drives like a dream no noise outta her she's an an amazing car easy to drive just fabulous the staff are brilliant the cars a dream and can't thank yous enough for everything you have done easy driving now beep beep xx

My recent experiences of Charles Hurst is that they are improving and that is why I give 4* - but that is from a very low point. After receiving excellent service from my local Saab dealership for 25 years, a brand change to Jaguar and the need to go to Charles Hurst, left me in despair. My car required a new set of windscreen wiper blades recently and Charles Hurst could not fit them for 7 weeks!! My old Saab garage obtained genuine Jaguar wiper blades and fitted them in 3 days. CH service is definitely improving and I look forward to seeing it reach some acceptable standard.

I recently got my Toyota serviced at Charles Hurst, Boucher Rd.
When I got my car home, I noticed that they didn't even fill the windscreen wash (that's 3 services in a row they have not done this check). Not a big deal some might say, but given the price they charge and according to their own list of items that are checked, this should be done. Makes you wonder what else they don't do!

Bought a Volvo V90 from Hurst Used Premium. Good enough car, very shoddy experience. Of greatest concern, they sent me off in a car with NO MOT. Yes, you read that right. Only discovered this when I went to the post office to tax it and in their words " Hurst have lied to you mate..." Infuriating and a little embarrassing. It took a number of calls with me applying pressure to resolve the matter as I needed a car for the next day commute. The car I had traded in was brought back to me and Volvo taken off for MOT. Resolved at least. The car is fundamentally sound but I would take issue with their claim to carry out 100+ inspections of the vehicle given front and rear wipers were completely perished. A minor point, but raises questions about standards. The car was very poorly valeted. A fold down of the rear seats and close inspection elsewhere revealed substantial animal hair, presumably belonging to the pervious owner's pet(s). Out of pocket then, as I want a sanitary car and paid for a proper valet. A refundable £250 deposit was paid but was not refunded until 6 weeks after the purchase, with communication on that matter proving to be so poor I sent an email stating my intention to report them to the motoring ombudsman; they didn't even reply to that. 2 stars feels generous.

Ruth is wonderful, she is such a fabulous person, going to list why - honest, friendly, warm, and wow at her knowledge of the products, after the first meeting with Ruth we were absolutely certain we could trust and rely on her. I have never had an experience like that before, nor have I ever met a more personable wonderfully enthusiastic sweet and funny woman, who gives her all to make customers happy. 😆
Basically, Ruth got us the exact car we wanted, in one week flat, and our Arkana is perfect 🤩
