Dan was all I hoped a realtor would be, friendly, knowledgeable, patient and caring. All communications were answered promptly which made me feel like I mattered. No hesitation in recommending.

I do not normally leave negative reviews, but my experience with the Slough branch of Chancellors has been extremely disappointing.

The sales team wasted more than four months of my time. Based on their assurances that the sale was progressing, I served two months' notice to my tenants and waited for the transaction to complete. Throughout the process, the sales team repeatedly provided different explanations and updates. After approximately six months, I was finally informed that the buyer was facing financial difficulties and could not proceed with the purchase.

This was very frustrating and costly. I incurred solicitor fees, lost rental income, and kept the property vacant unnecessarily. What shocked me most was that the buyer's financial position appeared not to have been properly verified before solicitors became involved and significant time had been invested by all parties.

After the sale fell through, I decided to let the property instead, as I could not continue to leave it vacant and lose money. The lettings team took over and informed me that a tenant wished to move in on 1 June. During the week before the tenancy was due to start, I repeatedly contacted the office for updates on the tenant's references. Despite numerous calls, it was very difficult to get a response.

On the day the tenant was due to move in, I finally received the reference details. The following day, I was informed by email that the tenant would not be proceeding and that the property would be remarketed. Once again, the commitments and information provided by the team proved unreliable.

More than six months later, my property is still vacant, and I continue to suffer financial losses as a result.

Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend this estate agency to friends or family.

Very Pleased with Chancellors on the recent sale of our house, from the start they were very proactive in sorting out the viewings, then supplying us with the feedback, they made themselves available when help & guidance was needed in completing forms. I would definitely recommend Chancellors,

The friendly professional staff who made it very easy for me to find my property help me with the paperwork and just were there when I needed them

We were very well supported by the Chancellors team in resolving a matter with our tenant. Sophie was very proactive and knowledgeable in identifying the issue and properly addressing it.

Absolutely no idea where these 5* reviews are coming from. Abysmal service from this mob while selling our property with them last year. If you're thinking about selling, this is how the script plays out:

- Come around, overvalue your property (our mistake for falling for it) and promise you the world
- Do a "open house", which is tactically a few days before your 14 day cooling off period ends
- Fill it with a bunch of people to make it look like there's interest, but actually no interest at all.
- You get stuck in a 6 month contract
- Aggressively suggest you need to lower the price because the feedback is the house is "too expensive", even though they set the price at the start
- Absolutely no plan B expect for "we're pushing it".

This was just the start of it:
- Gave us "exclusivity" on a property we wanted to buy with them (the only reason why we went with them to start with) for 2 weeks, just to call up a family member (who also enquired) a week in offering the property at a reduced price
- Shared an email with someone's personal bank statements to us on email, which wasn't meant for us
- Don't open on a Sunday, so no viewings
- Cancelled a "second viewing" 30 minutes before after we told them we were going to be at home.
- Had "lots of enquiries" in the portal but less than 10% turned into viewings - another way of manufacturing "interest"
- Told a part exchange company our house wasn't selling "due to the price being too high", even though they were the ones who recommend the sale price in the first place
- Only showing people the house who were proceedable, until we later find out some viewers had flats to sell.

We went with Hurst when we finally go out of working with Chancellors, who sold the property in 3 days. Tells you all you need to know.

I'd recommend you stay well clear of this mob.

Just been put through two weeks of inept chasing of a signature on a document. They kept sending an incorrect document with the same mistake multiple times. Then when they finally corrected the document they sent it to the wrong person to sign

When asked to send the correct document to the correct person to sign, they announced that actually no signature was required. Very poor service indeed.
