Rip off an absolutely everything

Purchased an item from their online website and hadn't received anything. After having to chase up myself, they told me that they couldn't find the item I had purchased. Completely wasted my time and the work that I had purchased the item for in the first place. After having complained a good few times as they were meant to get back to me and didn't all they could be bothered to do was offer to refund me the postage despite all the time and money lost waiting. Complete incompetence is an understatement! BEWARE!!!

My bike was stolen in Lincoln and some time later, I found in the local Cash Converters on the high street. The shop was visited multiples times with a variety of evidence to suggest the bike was mine, along with questions of best next steps to take. Here, I expected a proactive manner of engagement, to reflect the situation of a person who had their bike stolen, and seemingly finding it in their possession. I thought they'd be frustrated and concerned that they could have bought the bike from a local thief.
However, I was repeatedly met with hard-headed arseyness and ignorance. Comments such as "if someone comes in and wants to buy it, we can't not sell it to them". Suggestions that I could be anyone trying to get their bike from them (including when I went in on mother's day, with my family, on the way to a meal......like I had nothing better to do) even though I had receipts of payment etc.
Without a doubt, the worst instance I've had of dealing with staff in any capacity. Especially given the circumstances.

When presenting the contents of my jewellery box i was helped by JP.
What a softly spoke nice guy. He didn't flinch when I gave him the tangled mess of chains and bracelets, rings and things. The rate was much more than I thought and I felt very looked after. My only bug bear........and believe me its small, is that I had alot of watches, but as none of them had new batteries in them so they weren't seen working, they were not included.
Other than that........Worth it xxx

Honestly, not been in a cash converters for years, decided to checkout the one in Norwich last month and hoenstly, there is some really good bargains to be had if you know what to look for.
The warranty is really generous and the quality variety is great, you can get things near mint/new for a fraction of the new price and as the quality drops so does the price which I think is more than fair.
Also used the online site to buy some things from other sites over the UK and they have all been great deals and great quality.
Can't say much on the selling side of things but as a buyer, I am really happy and impressed, it seems most of the 2nd hand shops these days charge such high prices you might as well buy new, but the prices here really do encourage buying used and as mentioned, warranty and being able to test/see the equipment before a purchase in store makes the decision much easier.

I have been using Cash Converters since around 2005 for their buy-back service. Over time I have seen staff come and go, and I almost feel part of CC. I have always used the same Cash Converters in Bethnal Green.

I ordered four items from three separate stores.

The vacuum cleaner nozzle was chipped at the accessories receiving end, cracked at the same point, and missing an integral part. In fairness, this was refunded immediately on seeing the photos I sent. The store were also really polite, listened well, communicated clearly, and were very friendly. If you’re going to shop at any Cash Converters, I highly recommend the Ashton Under Lyme store.

Another purchase was a phone screen that was scratched with micro scratches, scuff marks, deep scratches, and covered front to back in stickers. That’s stickers...on the screen. I was offered a refund on return.

Considering that the phone was sent out in a condition other than as shown in the advertisement photographs, and photos are a part of every description, the law states under The Consumer Contract Act of 2013 (enforced 2014 - which replaced The Distance Selling Regulations first enacted in 2000) that items should be returnable free of charge. Falkirk Cash Converters argued that the stickers are put on, and perhaps scratches ensued therein, because it goes on the shop floor. I was told that I would be reimbursed for the postage. Saying “that’s just how we do it” does not mean it’s lawful. I can’t return it due to severe disability and because I’m bedridden most days.

The third item was a tablet and, despite it being unlocked to any network, I am yet to find what network it is locked to. It also point blank refuses to connect to my Wi-Fi on which everything else connects. Projector, other internet devices, those that save data automatically to the cloud for security reasons etc, all connected first time without issue. Not the tablet though.

The lesson is learned, and the lesson is this. After being a customer since at least uni in 2012, I’ll just be shopping elsewhere in future.

Poor online shopping experience with Cash Converters. My order was delayed for weeks with no clear update or proper communication. Customer service was unhelpful and slow to respond. Very disappointing service. I would not recommend buying online from this company.

Absolutely avoid this out of date creepy buisness they bought stolen items belonging to me lied about having them made it very difficult to deal with and tried to sell them before the police went in and took it back stop buying of known theifs!!

I recently bought a few items online from Cash Converters Kilburn and had a great experience from start to finish. I spoke with a gentleman named Lee who provided excellent customer service. He was very helpful, answered my questions, and made the whole online buying process smooth and stress-free.

Because of his help, I felt confident that I was buying good quality items from a reliable place. It’s rare to get such genuine customer care when shopping online, so it really stood out to me.

Based on my experience, I would definitely recommend Cash Converters and would choose them over Back Market any day. Great service and a trustworthy place to buy from!

I had a great experience at Cash Converters Hounslow today, thanks to Iwona. It was my first time visiting a store like this, and she made the whole process really smooth and comfortable for me. She took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure I got good value for the items I sold.

I also appreciated how she introduced me to some of the other services and offers available in the store without being pushy. Her professionalism and friendly attitude made the experience genuinely pleasant.

Ordered controller it's arrived filthy and doesn't work. Ive emailed shop directly no response and have emailed general email address still no response. I would like my money back for this item. It doesn't work at all......
