Update 1 year later: Just wanted to update now I've been driving the van for over a year. No issues at all. Van has gone through dealer health check twice, and MOT, and I've not had any problems other than the washer pump needing to be replaced.

I bought a van from Car Firm at the beginning of June. I was extremely nervous of using them as the reviews are generally bad and the good ones seem fake, but there aren't many options for the particular van I wanted, and Car Firm happened to have two available that I wanted to see, as well as another one at a company who weren't too far away, so I decided it was worth at least looking.

The salesman (Olly?) was really decent from the start, not pushy, gave lots of advice and answered all our questions. I did raise the issue of the poor reviews with him, and he seemed pretty honest about acknowledging the issues they'd had. He pointed out some issues with the types of van, what to look for etc and was genuinely really helpful.

After viewing a few other vans locally, I did decide to buy through Car Firm. There were no issues with paperwork etc, everything was provided to me, V5 was with me in a few days.

I've been driving the van every day for a month and had no issues, other than a known fault with the bonnet latch which I've got scheduled for replacement. So all in all, I am happy with the service and obviously the vehicle

Beware of this dealer and don't ignore the bad reviews as I did.
I have an open County Court Judgement claim against this company.
I advise anyone here to follow them on companies house and object to any attempt to liquidate.
They misled me in their advert and in our dealings and now I face a long drawn out process to get my money back. And I will get it back.
Steer clear.

What bunch of crooks,we are now involving the Police and Trading Standards as Car firm forged our signature on a sales invoice, we bought a Kuga more than 6 months ago, all the warning lights came on in the car and made it completely undrivable within 12 hours of getting it and we still trying to sort out a refund and even got the Credit Card co involved,. Car Firm not interested at all. Stay well away, as we are now going to court!!

Go with someone else. The car we bought from them had issues from day it was delivered. They said they would put these right but I spent forever chasing them to remedy the problems. Then the car broke down and they would not honor the warranty. Ended up in small claims as they would not communicate to come to any kind of agreement. Small claims took over a year, they tried to wriggle out of any holes they could find but eventually had our day in court and got the refund. Very painful experience though. Find another dealer

I bought a van on the specific agreement that they would fix all DPF/Exhaust issues and it had a new MOT, which I wrote in the Contract. When it was delivered, I sent it to my garage who found 4 faults relating to this, and 2 areas where they couldn't get readings - they were suspicious that the vehicle had been "remapped' to prevent this showing problems. They said it also blow out grey smoke when started. In addition, they said they ran an MOT test and they would have failed it, a d highlighted various advisories.
I emailed to advise that I was not satisfied and that I wanted a full refund, as allowable under my 14 day right to cancel. They did not reply, and refused to let me have the number of the boss, or th After Sales team who are supposedly dealing with this. I phoned 4 times and each time they said they would call back but didn't. Their behaviour appears very dodgy.

Put a 100 pound reserve down on a van that they did not actually have and i am still waiting to get it back after a month and many phone calls.

Worst experience ever , not even for free I wouldn’t have another car from this dealer, avoid and take your money somewhere else

Vehicle was purchased in August 2021. Day after delivery Engine/Emissions light illuminated. Multiple faults discovered by an independent garage who had an Audi Master Technician working for them at the time.

Car Firms business manager/directors wanted to repair the faults for cheaper than what was quoted by the independent garage (and subsequent quotes from other independent Audi specialist garages etc.), rather than take the vehicle back and give me a full refund as per my rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. (Check multiple other 1 star reviews for similar stories.)

Legal action was taken. The whole ordeal was ongoing for 29 months. Settled out of court in December 2023. Hearing went ahead anyway. Settlement agreement upheld.

The vehicle itself was sat idle for 2 years. The vehicle was started/run in August 2023. It was started again in December 2023 and in January 2024 where it was driven onto a recovery vehicle.

The vehicle was not MOT'd or serviced at any time between 6th August 2021 and 16th January 2024.

It might be worth taking a code reader with you and a mechanic to inspect the vehicle fully if you intend to purchase it.

Warning - Absolute Joke
Paid a deposit to secure a car. On inspection found several fault codes. They advised they would look into this and fix before I bought the car. Phoned a few days later to say would take several weeks to fix. THEY OFFERED to cancel sale and refund deposit but despite several calls and promises I’m still waiting 6 weeks later.

I bought a BMW a year ago from these guys and was very happy with the car so last week my niece wanted a car so i said we will try car firm again. she bought an Audi A3 and once again we recieved great service from start to finish. Adam sorted a great finance deal. my niece is very pleased with the car so thank you guys once again.

Absolutely rubbish. Worst car dealers ever.bought a porsche off these clowns in April.told it had full service history but later found out it hasn't been serviced since 2016.engine light came on as soon as I pulled off forecourt.next day found numerous faults.asked for refund which I am entitled to by law and was told by their directors no refund.now looking forward to seeing the fools in court.please take my advice and do not buy a car from this firm. Don't just take my word read all one star reviews as they are most truthful ones.i think Enid Blyton or jk Rowling write the 5 star ones for them.

I purchase a Range Ranger Evoque, they sold me a car with multiple problems from day 1 worn out tyres and Saf thought it was funny to tell me I have more miles to go.
Car was making a loud noise it was not normal for a car to be that loud.
Cars are not serviced, service light kept coming on their excuse was they never knew how to turn it off. No wheel nut supplied with the car dealer told
me they would reimburse me to get the nuts cut off, it took weeks for me to get my money back kept telling my scanned receipt was not clear enough.
Dealer refuse to take accountability regarding faults after months of going back and forth with them over email and phone calls from October 2022 they finally booked me in April 2023.
They switched off the engine light only for it to come back as soon as I drove off, not worth the headache. The car came back even louder when I took it the garage and the mechanic took a look under the car, Car Firm had bolted up underneath with metal brackets.
I am finally getting rid of the car after only have it for 11 months.
I currently have no lights as they are faulty, knox sensor malfunction, at one point the drivers door handle was broken so I could not enter and ad blue issues.
Nothing but drama and headache since I brought it and although I kept sending them pictures of the faults they kept ignoring me.
I found it really weird when I was looking at the car when purchasing Saf kept following me around like he would not leave us alone, I had already brought the car so its was mine anyway. Most salesmen give you the keys and leave you to have a look around Dodgy.

Avoid at all costs. Now have a car i cant drive for 4-6 weeks because they think its fine to supply a car with no log book, tell you you will be reimbursed when you order one and then never reply again. On a car they never registered they took possession of, so which has been blocked and cant be taxed until a log book is received. Wasnt a cheap car but needed a service as soon as half way home, needs brake pads and discs and the paperwork doesnt add up. Not worth the hassle, especially after travelling a long way. Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere. Some reviews seem fake. Trading standards have been informed.

I purchased a vehicle and paid the refundable £100 deposit, 1 month after collecting the vehicle, no refund and no replies to mails or phone calls.

bought a car from these guys not 3 weeks agaoi and already got issues had car break down on me today and turns out i had issues with the injectors as i lost all power - had the RAC come out and they fixed it and gave me a detailed report which i then emailed over the the business they (CAR FIRM) claim the report does not highlight work carried out - i have highlighted again to them the below details and requested a refund for the work carried out and if not repaid i will report to trading standards and relevant ombudsman service

engine bay smells of diesel
injectors 3 and 4 have been replaced with reconditioned units recently
faults returned for injector 2
replaced injector 2 and torqued injector bolt to manufacurers spec

recoded all 4 injectors
cleaned off diesel residue in engine bay from previous work
ran vehicle up for 10 minutes - ok
noticed battery clamp not fitted and battery loose - bolt has been cross threaded at some point

cant wait to hear what there response to this will be

as of 17/07/2023 the response has been sheer silence!!!

on 15/07/25023 i had the car serviced at halfords and over £947.00 will need to be spent on a new cambelt ancillery drive belt new front and rear brake discs and brake pads
so when they say it comes with a full service history and has no faults do not believe them, these guys new the car i purchased was over priced and not road worthy
do not trust these guys they are literally conning you out of hard earned money and have no after sales service - warranties mean nothing and you can expect to be totally ripped off- this car was literally washed and polished and put out on the lot for sale - no checks done and i suspect that is same for ALL VEHICLES ON THERE LOT

As of 25/07 vehicle repairs are underway at MY COST not CARFIRM, car is also now vibrating when idle which suggests a multitude of issues from either a motor mount not fitted to either broken or faulty sparks plugs to god knows what???

Carfirm are still not even giving me the decency of a FINAL RESPONSE i see this is going to have to go to trading standards and i will be seeking payment for all the costs i incurred after purchase to make this vehicle right and significant compensation for the distress they have caused me...DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE GUYS THEY ARE 1000% NOT BOTHERED WITH VEHICLE SAFETY, THEY JUST WANT TO OVERPRICE BUSTED UP CARS GIVE U A FAKE WARRANTY AND THEN CLAIM SOLD AS SEEN

so as of 09/09/2023 despite all the cost i have incurred getting the car road worthy no amicable resolution from car firm over my costs .. in addition to the cost of the repairs i still had a god awful rattling sound coming from the car, took it to my local garage who started it up and said its my exhaust and maybe also my heat shield , when the garage tried to take my from t bumper off they found it had been BONDED on and when finally removed they found that there was damage to the heat shiled caused mostly likely by a collision... which CARFIRM FAILED TO DISCLOSE the local garage i used also said the exhaust was loose that cost me another £100 in repairs so in total now i bought the car for £4800 and have spent an additional £1800 in repairs and car services ... these SHARKS have been reported and i soooo want to be there the day TRADING standards close these thieves down

The Car firm are quick enough to take your money, but that’s were it ends the cars are not serviced before you collect, the warranty isn’t worth having, there so called mechanics are always on holiday and you have to wait weeks for an appointment to get things sorted. Basically they buy cars in give them a £15 wad and resell them, avoid and all costs
