Stay Away from Campspace
The recently tried to rent to separate locations in 2 different states. These were listed as NEW LISTINGS. After I booked each site, I messaged the hosts. Crickets. I contacted Customer service after 4 days and was told that most places respond within 1-2 business days. (VRBO and Airbnb always respond within 24 hours) Then the next day both reservations EXPIRED since the hosts never accepted by reservation. I contacted CS again about my payments and was told they would be refunded within 2 business days; it took 4 days but whatever. What I found alarming was that CS told me to try other sites that had reviews because they would be "more reliable". Why would Campspace allow unreliable listings on their webpage? ?????? It's like they were telling me to avoid new listings because they might be a scam. What a nice business model. STAY AWAY from Campspace.

Some listings operate on a request-to-book basis, which means hosts need to manually accept reservations within a set timeframe. If they don’t respond, the request expires and no booking is confirmed.
Guests can also withdraw pending requests free of charge at any time.
All listings are reviewed before being published. New hosts may still be learning how our system works, which can occasionally result in slower response times. Listings with reviews have already completed bookings and often respond faster—but new listings are not unsafe or unreliable.
When a booking request expires, payments are automatically refunded. We apologize that in your case the process took a bit longer than usual.
We value your feedback and use it to improve the platform. If you choose to try Campspace again, our support team will gladly assist you in finding a listing that suits your needs.
Bij problemen met de host sta je er alleen voor.
Ik schrijf deze recensie omdat de klantenservice van Campspace het volledig laat afweten. Na een eerdere fout waarbij de boeking misging, wacht ik inmiddels al geruime tijd op de terugbetaling van mijn geld.
Bij aankomst was de sleutel niet aanwezig en de host niet bereikbaar.
Wat me nog het meeste stoort, is de totale radiostilte en het gebrek aan medewerking. Ik heb inmiddels een officiële klacht ingediend via Test-Aankoop, maar zelfs die wordt door Campspace straal genegeerd. Het lijkt erop dat ze pas in actie komen als de boeking binnen is, maar zodra er iets fout gaat en er geld moet worden teruggestort, geven ze niet thuis.
Dit is geen manier om met klanten om te gaan. Ik raad iedereen af om hier te boeken totdat ze hun financiële verplichtingen en klantenservice serieus nemen.
Ik verwacht alsnog een onmiddellijke afhandeling van mijn terugbetaling.

Dank je wel dat je de tijd hebt genomen om je ervaring te delen. We vinden het vervelend om te lezen dat je verblijf niet is verlopen zoals verwacht en begrijpen dat dit voor frustratie heeft gezorgd.
Naar aanleiding van je melding hebben wij deze situatie destijds zorgvuldig onderzocht en besproken met de host. De host heeft fotobewijs aangeleverd waaruit blijkt dat de sleutel voorafgaand aan jullie aankomst op de afgesproken plek is neergelegd. Daarnaast is vastgesteld dat de host kort na jullie contactpogingen heeft gereageerd.
Wij begrijpen dat jullie de sleutel ter plaatse niet hebben aangetroffen. Omdat Campspace zelf niet fysiek aanwezig was en de beschikbare informatie van beide kanten is beoordeeld, kunnen wij helaas niet vaststellen wat er exact op dat moment is gebeurd. Op basis van onze voorwaarden kunnen wij daarom geen terugbetaling of aanvullende schadevergoeding toekennen, waaronder kosten voor gereden kilometers.
Wat betreft de bereikbaarheid: het door ons ontvangen bewijsmateriaal bestond uit een belhistorie met meerdere oproepen van zeer korte duur. Dit is helaas onvoldoende om vast te stellen dat er daadwerkelijk contact tot stand had kunnen komen. In dit soort situaties bieden wij waar mogelijk ondersteuning via bemiddeling of belcontact, maar dit vereist wel aantoonbare en volledige contactpogingen op het moment zelf.
We willen benadrukken dat Campspace elke klacht serieus neemt en hier ook inhoudelijk op heeft gereageerd. Er is geen sprake geweest van radiostilte. De zaak is destijds conform onze procedures beoordeeld en afgehandeld.
Hoewel we begrijpen dat dit niet de uitkomst is waar je op had gehoopt, hopen we dat deze toelichting duidelijk maakt hoe onze beoordeling tot stand is gekomen. Feedback zoals deze helpt ons wel om onze processen en communicatie verder te blijven verbeteren.

100 € totalement irrécupérables…
Je ne récupérerai jamais ma carte cadeau 100€, achetée à Campspace par l’intermédiaire de decathlon. Nous voulions une carte cadeau décathlon et donc pas une carte concernant cette application : le remboursement nous a été refusé et on ne voit pas comment récupérer notre carte pour l’utiliser. Les indications de la personne chargée du contact client sont totalement inefficaces. Site à fuir ! Et Decathlon est complètement inefficace.

Accommodatie voldeed niet aan de verwachtingen. In samenspraak met de verhuurder afgesproken dat ik volledige bedrag van de boeking terug zou krijgen. Vakantie was in augustus en ondanks toezegging van de host, tot op heden geen cent ontvangen. Nooit boeken bij deze oplichter.
