He took me to a isle where they solf white suits for hunting. He had both hands in his pockets and clearly did not know what I was looking for or where it was. I was going to but a beretta semi 12 ga shotgun but not any more. clearly staff dont care
Cabelas lost two clients today
Cabelas lost two clients today, for good. I call the shop early, and ask the lady if they could appraise my weapon in the evening, and she says yes.
We get there around 6:15, wait for at least 40 minutes. I ask a guy if we have to talk to someone specific for this; he goes to the back of the shop.
He comes back saying that they are about to close and they could appraise it tomorrow. Mind you, we drove 34 minutes to get there just to be dismissed by these disrespectful, lazy fools.
To make matter worse, one of the guys behind the counter kept eyeing my wife the whole time. It’s a bald, funny looking dude.

Wife of my husband whom purchased a boat from a 6.5 Billion dollar company and is sold a lemon for a boat. Z18 2022. I will give you a time stamp of major highlights.
Brandon Salesman was phenomenal he needs a raise and a different position. The rest is a BUST!
3/17 picked boat up
3/21 return boat because it left us stranded in the middle of a lake on our 3rd day out. Had to ride 2 hrs on a trolling motor to get back to dock.
4/6 Brandon called to give update
4/8 John called to tell me he didn’t have any news on part
4/12 Evette told me in store that it would be middle of May before they could get part from mercury but that was a estimate.
Might I add…. When trying to purchase certain features for this boat, I was told that it wasn’t available due to the Masters going on in SC and couldn’t sell it to me incase they needed it for them! Example: Lowrance HDS Live fish finder. They were in stock but on hold due to Masters being in SC.
Prime season for fishing and my husband and I are left sitting making payments on a boat we currently and still do not have!
I would suggest DO NOT BUY A BOAT HERE. THEY WILL CONTINUE TO KEEP IT OUTSIDE, NOT COVERED, GETTING WEATHERED…….because WE kept it in our garage & still am told they still have no parts to fix the lemon we were sold. AGAIN MAKING PAYMENTS ON A BOAT WE CANT GET BACK BECAUSE ITS A LEMON! Also as bonus* we got the the loan for the boat on 03/07. They did not have our boat ready until 03/17/2022. So stay clear……..DO NOT BUY A BOAT FROM HERE. Spare yourself the pain! Making payments on a boat we don’t have! FYI CABELAS IF YOU WANT TO BUY IT BACK, YOU CAN AND SHOULD because this is bad business! Unprofessional! And I will never buy another thing from here! Below is the boat purchased in Fort Mill!

I ordered an item online for pick up at the store being they only had one and when I carted and paid it looked
there was a mistake and like it was going to ship to me.
When I went to the store I was told they don't use the self stock for online orders for pickup they ship one to the store. when I tried to explain what happened the the cashier he got cocky about it and called for customer service when the customer service kid came over he explained there screwed up way of online order and pickup ,I had to cancel the online order and purchase the item Oh and than I was also told the ten dollar discount was only online orders only. This after the SOBS sold my info to every Tom Dick and Harry. I've been buying from Cabela's going back when they only had books and you called your order in to them.
Get this they had the balls to send me a survey on how I liked the online service and when I let them know how displeased I was I have yet to hear back from them.
I'm updating my boat with new electronics and trolling motor new seating and other accessories. not so sure I'll ever purchase a thing from them .

I went to buy a sight knowing exactly what I wanted but the initial guy I spoke to tried saying they didn’t have it in stock even though there were plenty on the shelf directly behind him. Then he said I would need a “kit to install my sight.” He then pulled a hybrid sight off the shelf that was 200 dollars more than the sight I was looking for saying that this had the tools I needed. This guy saw an 18 year kid and thought he could up sale me, of course after I got the manager the sight magically was back in stock. I would never recommend someone to the gun table at cabela’s there gonna try to sell you a bunch of things you simply don’t need.

Bought dehydrator used 3to4 times quit working, sent it to blue sky for warranty. They said couldn’t be repaired. They sent new one through ups. Ups dropped it and busted it, they reimbursed blue sky and blue sky has not reimbursed yet. This is 1/07/22 as I post. It started in 11/21. What a joke blue sky is!
Horrible website marketing
Cabelas website has gone so far down hill since Bass Pro took over. Especially in the gun department. I don't know if it all of Cabelas or just the Lonetree store but their website inventory vs. actual store inventory is horribly mismatched. The product search filters don't work. The "availability" lies to you constantly. The gun library is fairly well stocked but the website only shows ~25% of what they actually have on hand. Original Cabelas never had this problem. Evidently under Bass Pro management there doesn't seem to be a concern for accurate marketing.

I received $400 in gift cards and unfortunately in $25 increments because that's what they had. I want to order a smoker and accessories but you are limited to 5 cards per transaction. The closest store in 1.5 hours away. The phone option failed because the call taker was annoyed and claims bad connection when reading off numbers.

Made a trip to Cabela's to buy a gun. Not a cheap gun. A top of the line nearly four figure gun -- did not buy. Could not buy. Will not try to buy again. You can gaze at a wall of guns, you can even approach the counter where the hand guns, scope, knives, and accessories are stored. You cannot, however, buy a gun. It seems as though Cabela's has not trained anyone in selling guns, so they do not have anyone who can actually open a cabinet and hand you a gun, scope, knife, or other accessory to look at closely, or purchase.
Went to Open Range and bought my gun there.

Terrible! I will never order from this company again. Supposedly my shipment was sent out the end of November but has no tracking number with the order number. I have no idea where it is at or when it will arrive. It has now been 3 weeks and I have contacted Cabela's a few times now regarding my shipment and they keep giving me the runaround. Nobody knows what is going on. Definitely not worth the hassle. Don't waste your time ordering from this company. Lesson learned on my part! Just want to warn others, so this doesn't happen to them.
Fishing waders fell apart after only three years
Several years back I purchased a set of fishing waders at the Woodbury, Minnesota location. This fall I noticed that the padding on the outside sole of one of the boots was peeling away. I returned to that Woodbury location today with the waders and asked what could be done to rectify this situation. The gentleman asked me if I had purchased a protection plan and I told him I had not. I felt that was a stupid question to ask as I had purchased fishing waders not a piece of electronic equipment. If I had purchased a Cabela's brand shirt I certainly would not have purchased a protection plan on the outside chance that the shirt would fall apart. Online customer service was zero help The offer a $20 credit. What a joke. They've lost my business for good.

I had a $100 dollar $20 dollar off promo that they would not honor. They said that due to them not having the little buddy heater in store that they couldn't take the 20.00 dollar off with a $100 dollar purchase. I asked if i could pay for it all and them call me when the heater got to the store and they said they would not do that.

Dishonest!!
Dishonest!!! They should receive zero stars. They refused to honor their sale price claiming an item was out of stock then the order finally processed as the item magically returned to in stock at midnight in some other time zone and the sale ended. They charged me the full price even though the online cart still showed the discounted price. Then they refused to let me cancel the order so now I have to return it. When I called this morning to cancel after they opened, the person on the phone said I was not the first to call today with the same issue. They are not someone I will be doing business with in the future.
Customers walking without wearing masks.
Cabela’s doesn’t care about mandatory masks anymore apparently, as they let people without them enter the store and shop. I was there about 2:20 pm today, and a white woman wearing all black (with tall brown boots) and blonde hair in a messy bun hairstyle was walking around the clothing section at without a mask on while carrying her baby. Eyeroll. Come on, Cabela’s, seriously? Let’s all work together through this pandemic and make sure everyone’s safe while following mandatory procedures set by the government.
Nobody likes the mask mandate but it protects everyone from catching a deadly virus. Shame on that woman and shame on Cabela’s Staff for letting her walk around.
The worst website
The website is the worst website I have ever been on. It items on page is too big. I can't click to the next page. I can't change the sort or filter without a permanent gray screen. The only way to fix it is to go back to the homepage. I just want to look around and get something, but this website is a mess.
