Brownells…stop using FedEx!!!
Brownells used to be a very good company to do business with. Unfortunately I’ve placed my last order with them. Since they insist on using FedEx for their deliveries, I will spend my money elsewhere. I have had to many problems with FedEx deliveries that I will no longer spend my money at businesses that use them for delivery. My latest order is again delayed on delivery because of FedEx. Brownells, get your act together, read the reviews (most are because of delivery issues) and get rid of FedEx.
No shipping guarantee
They charge to make sure shipping goes correctly.
If you do not pay extra for the insurance you probably wont get your order, or shipping will be over a month long. And no refund if it does not get to you.
Fraud in my opinion. Order your item from more reputable source and you will receive your item.

I wish I had read the reviews first. Terrible customer service and they didn't care in the least that my order did not arrive and then when it did finally show up it was not the correct parts. After speaking with someone I realized that it wasnt even worth my time to try to return. Unfortunatly I will just eat the cost and never deal with them again. Midway USA it is.

I will never do business with Brownell's again, I placed an order last month for under $300. I used their Credova payment option but it gave me an error message so I used my credit card. I received the order a week later but am now being charged by Credova for the same order. Neither company is helping and placing blame on the other. Give your business to Midway USA, I have never had an experience like this before.
Ordered a part
Ordered a part, it'll be here tomorrow very happy with Brownells but I will well I already was cautious to what our Customs would allow in here in Canada, the part I did was an allowable item under law so of course it finally had went through customs and it'll arrive. That part will be with my whole life, it will allow to work with the antiques .455 to the .45 acp so it is helping expand my enterprise in the Antique market

I’m not sure why people are complaining about customer service with Brownells.
I had a an issue with FedEx delivering my package to the wrong address and when the FedEx claims department denied my claim despite the evidence, Brownells took care of the issue and shipped me a replacement. Tessa on the mobile chat helped get my information to the right people and Dustin with customer service got me squared away with my replacement.
This was my first time doing business with Brownells and it was a very expensive purchase for me, so the fact that there was no hassle, just quality customer support, really helped remove the stress of the situation. They will get my business in the future.
Missing customer commitments everyday - zero
Member of edge program with is free 2 day shipping. There carriers far exceed this. Discussions on the phone lead me to believe this has been resolved by specifying a carrier other than the disaster of Speed-Dee delivery. Next two shipments are Speed-Dee with the same delay result. Phone call to Brownells oh we didn't tell you you have to call in your order to select a carrier. Is all I ever get from Brownells is excuses. If I could rate a zero I would.

Took my money, waited a week, cancelled the order.
I'm based in the UK but wanted to order a gift for a friend in the US so I ordered an item from the US website. They had a provision to select a UK billing address and immediately took my money so I assumed there was no problem.
A week went by and I had to chase them as the order was still listed as "pending". They said someone from the international team would contact me to clarify something and the next thing I know my order is canceled. They said to order with a UK card you have to use the UK site. I asked if they would have delivered to a US address and they ignored me. Useless people. If you're not going to allow foreign cards don't make it possible through the website and don't take the money. I see from some of these other reviews that Brownell's treating non-American customers badly is standard behaviour.
Shipping is terrible
Shipping is terrible. Customer service doesn't know whats going on. The ONLY option is to get a replacement if its in stock, no cancel or refund option. If it is out of stock, they will provide a "gift card", which is definitely not a gift. Unfortunately I do not want to use Brownells again, ever. You are better off not going elsewhere.

One item is broken. The other is out of spec.

After all that I ask for some compensation for my trouble they offer me a $50 off coupon when I spend ANOTHER $450.

Do not use Credova for any purchase from this company or any other for that matter. Brownells should be ashamed of them selves for even supporting this.
Initially made a purchase through Brownells and financed an upper receiver through Credova. A month later my account was transferred to Monterey Financial. Didn’t read the “Contract” so when it transferred my balance doubled. Credova wouldn’t help and just transferred me to Monterey Financial. MF said that it was in the contract. Legit companies running legal scams. Stay away from Credova and Monterey Financial. Companies like Brownells and Classic Firearms need to do a better job with who they work with.

Waited ten days and still my order hadn't shipped. They called me the 3rd day to confirm info then never put that in their system. I placed an order last week for a very expensive optic and paid for expedited shipping. I received my confirmation number and waited for delivery. When I went to track the package I was told it was out for delivery. When it did not arrive I called customer service and spent 45 minutes on the phone with three different people and still had no information on where my product was or when it would arrive. I received a call late in the day telling me my shipment was lost and that they could not ship a replacement because they are out of stock. I asked to cancel my order and get a refund and they refused. I am now dealing with my bank to file a claim and complaint. Very disappointed.
What a joke
This company is a joke. They have no issue taking money but take their sweet time taking care of the customer. Ordered an no updates. Live chat employees are worthless. Called in the young lady Alexa actually did some leg work to assist and reached out to the FFL department( who clearly need customer service training) she was able to confirm they did receive information needed but still didn’t do anything to process the order just basically pushed aside for another day. I hope other read reviews like i clearly should have done before ordering.
Don't trust the listed prices.
On July 6th 2022 I purchased an areo precision lower to be shipped to a local FFL from Brownells. I choose this particular FFL based off of the advertised price of $20 and being a "Brownells Featured Dealer" for receiving the transfer. Upon arrival at the FFL on July 13th 2022 I noticed signs indicating that "as of 7/1/2021 the transfer fee for receiving would be $50) I was then charged the higher transfer fee for my transaction. Upon reaching out to Brownells and speaking with their lovely customer service team they informed me that the FFL department said "there was nothing they could do and it was just an unfortunate situation." I asked if they could do anything on their end to rectify the sistuation and was given the same answer, "that their was nothing they could do." I brought to their attention that the choice to use them as a retailer and the particular FFL was made on the material fact that the website lists the Fee as $20, had I known it would be 150% more I may have chosen a diffrent retailer or FFL. I do not blame the FFL as their sign shows this has been in effect for more than a year at this point. Being a "featured dealer" I was working on the assumption that the listing would be correct. While it is not a large sum of money ($30) I belive that being a responsible informed consumer is important and having retailers not disclosing correct prices is a shame and make it difficult to do buisness.

Worst customer service ever. One star is even too much! Over 4 months for my order and has not been received and my money yet to be refunded.
Customer service is slow
Update 7/27/22: Customer service finally responded and corrected the shortage on my order. It took about 6 weeks, but they did fix the problem. I ordered a thousand rounds of ammunition. The price was decent and the shipping was reasonable. Unfortunately, I was shorted 50 rounds. I've called numerous times and emailed numerous times including pictures. It's been over a month now and I've been unable to get any satisfactory response from the company. I was told that my complaint was in the queue and that they would get to me as soon as they could. They were very busy. Disappointed is an understatement.
Horrible experience with latest purchase
Accidentally ordered a wrong timney 2 stage trigger for my remington 700 and immediately tried canceling after I realized my mistake. Brownells "new system upgrade" prevented me and customer support from canceling my item moments after ordering saying "my order was too far down the line to cancel."
That was back in April. After several attempts to reach brownells through email 2 separate inquiries were answered out of maybe 6. Calling by phone is hours long wait and they may not get back to you.
I was able to send that trigger back last month and I have yet to get a refund. Last week I was able to talk to someone by phone and I was told they're short staffed sorry they did recieve my item but I should get my refund either next week or the week following. Here we are almost 2 weeks later and nothing.
If brownells is that short staffed they need to hire alot more people as even other known bad online retailers have better service than this.
