Authorized return never credited or responded to

I ordered a Sinclair Primer shell holder for a .22 Hornet case. It didn't fit the .22 Hornet case as claimed. Called Customer Service, they promptly issued a return label for credit. I sent the case holder back with an empty .22 Hornet piece of brass to show them the fault. They FedEx the piece of brass back to me with a letter saying the single brass was returned at my expense. I never got the credit for the shell holder, despite a follow-up letter to Customer Service. These folks have lost my interest and business.

Mit längeren Lieferzeiten bei bestimmten Artikel ist manchmal zu rechnen , aber Artikel nur unter Vorbestellung anzubieten und noch nicht mal eine plausible Erklärung zu liefern wenn die 12 Wochen Lieferzeit schon längst überschritten ist ein Armutszeugniss vom Selbst ernannten größten Lieferanten von Waffenteilen und Zubehör !

Die versenden einen Artikel und schaffen es nicht eine vollständige Adresse auf das Paket zu schreiben. Mühsam mit denen in Kontakt zu treten und die Wartezeit auf einen lagernden Artikel ist dann einfach lächerlich lange. Die senden den lagernden Artikel in der Zwischenzeit auch nicht erneut los bevor der andere den sie unfähig waren korrekt zu verschicken wieder bei Ihnen im Haus ist. Ich werde dort nie wieder bestellen !

I ordered a part it was the wrong one they charged me 24.36 and refunded me 16.95 for the wrong part they gave me a partial of the tax money that they charged me it was their fault it was the wrong part and they only gave me a percentage of what I paid and they didn't refund my shipping

I am extremely dissatisfied with the service provided by Brownells UK. I placed an order over a month ago, expecting delivery within the advertised 7-10 days. The order was placed in London, within the UK, yet it has still not arrived.
I have contacted your support team multiple times via email, but my concerns have been completely ignored. This level of customer service is unacceptable.
I chose Brownells UK expecting reliable service, but this has been a highly disappointing experience. Your lack of response and delay in fulfilling orders reflects poorly on your business. I hope this review prompts you to take action and improve your service.

I am a dealer and gunsmith in souteastern Pa and have dealt with them for 20 years and in the last two years the service and support absolutely sucks. I paid for the bullshit EDGE pprogram and my stuff shows up a week or two after the order if they send it at all.

Received items in 4 business days - standard shipping - first time buyer extremely happy

I came here a few weeks ago because I was considering buying a lot of ammo online and saw all the bad slow shipping reviews at only 1 star, but everyone said the didn't get burned and the product was still exceptional. I got a good enough quote and wasn't in a hurry, so I figured I could wait for an unexpected backorder taking roughly 4-6 weeks like happened to others reviewing here BUT my experience turned out to be nothing shy of perfect, came in a day faster and great communication updates via email.

After a week of online research, I ordered the products late Friday night and it said 3-5 business days, so I didn't count Saturday. I received frequent updates on every step via email and received my items that shall remain unnamed in Florida on Thursday evening, so 4 business days.

I was so happy that I immediately turned around and placed another similar order, again the night they came in for something I had gotten quotes on including shipping and Brownells came in 2nd place in best price instead of 1st place like last time. Normally, I look for the cheapest with good enough ratings, but I was so satisfied with my first order that I talked to my Wife and we both decided to stay with this company for this order, too.

Really sorry to see so many people get a bad experience. Maybe it was a covid thing? Everything was messed up that first year or so. Then again maybe they improved on their processes? Anyways, I'm happy and with my one outstanding experience I'm inclined to make this a favorite shopping place to always check prices and strongly consider ordering from, at the top of my list.

Very satisfied. I can't think of anything they could've done better. I just really wanted to come here and leave a good review because at first I was kind of afraid after seeing so many bad reviews but reading into him it turned out to just be an annoying delay and that they're purchases did finally come in so if somebody else is considering this company and concerned I think it's reasonable to know that you won't get burned and you will get your product even if there is an unexpected delay which I didn't have at all. Good luck

Lieferschwierigkeiten

Habe vor einigen MONATEN etwas bestellt. Verstehe dass man Waren aus dem Lager nicht innert kürzester Zeit geliefert hat. 3+ Mt später nach vermehrtem nachfragen heisst es, es dürfen keine Auskünfte gemacht werden, man wird hingehalten und einige Monate später wird das Produkt aus dem Sortiment entfernt ohne dem Kunden bescheid zu geben.

They always show products in stock when you place the order, then send you a message that several items are not in stock or on back order. Out of 5 products I just ordered and shown in stock, 3 of them are on back order, and one was cancelled because they are not accepting back orders for it. They either have no inventory control or else want to get you on the hook for back orders knowing they are out of stock.

WARNING: Stay Away from Brownells.com Terrible [laughable] first time customer experience. On 03/19/24 I ordered a total of $97.00 worth of product [Receipt]. The amount on my CC'd was $96.98. 5 days later when I checked online to view the order status [because it had not arrived] they not only had address information missing but now their system still shows "processing" [wth people]. I entered everything correctly and captured screen shots to confirm such. I then call them to inquire of the delay + missing address item and their system made me wait 13 minutes on a call before a human even answered; that call lasted 24 minutes. At this point I'm severely disappointed and decide to cancel the order. During the 03/24/24 call the male Rep was able to cancel the order and have fedex reverse such while being shipped. As to add insult to injury they waited until 04/05/24 to credit me back $86.30 attempting to short me $10.68. I called my Bank and they were willing to complete a charge back. 04/08/24 I call them back and suggest they can either kindly credit me back the $10.68 or I'll have the Bank refund the entire $96.98 amount and they'll be out $86.30. Needless to say at the end of the 18 minute call, the female rep was super kind and was able to "push" the missing amount back onto my card as a one time courtesy. She said it was their shipping charge. As if any of this company failed experiment was my fault. My willingness to trust and believe in their advocacy [youtube channel ] of them “appearing” as good reliable humans, was not realized. They need to rebrand and fire their entire senior leadership team, because their owners are being done wrong if this is how they define Success. Saddest part is the genuine hard working laborers that work there whose families depend on their income, are the ones being MOST MISREPRESENTED. This is the fruit of an evil rooted tree. Some folks have really “lost” their minds these past several years. #Insane_in_the_membrane

Test environment?

Worked up a pea splitter of a recipe and found out I am short on the magic ingredient and no one has it. So I am on the "notify" list of those that offer it. I get several "still looking at this" emails from Brownells only to find it is still out of stock. Then I get an email that there is a no hazmat fee special and low and behold my item is in, even though I didn't get a specific notification email. I order it, but don't get a confirmation email. Contact Brownells three days later and they say there was no order received...though it had shown it was processing shortly after It was made it. Four days later I am notified that the order was made in a test environment and that the order had to be reentered manually. Now I am on back order with an anticipated "in stock" date a month away. This rating is for my recent experience; for the most part Brownells has done a great job; but the item would be in transit if I'd only known about this "test environment" I was unwittingly operating in.

Hidden return policy

Tried to return an item after Christmas. No return policy information on receipt in box. Sent item back and received an email that I had been issued a gift card. Apparently after 45 days you can't get a refund. Bought well before Christmas as most people do. Most of the 45 days are taken up before giving the gift. Tried to call customer service. Hung up on me while just starting to explain the situation. Called back, on hold again. Refused to issue a refund. Finally was offered to speak to a supervisor who issued a the refund. A lot of time wasted.

I bought several items LATE Fri and the tracking # was provided on Tue shipped out Wed arrived in Seattle Sat. I have no complaints about shipping speed as I have read. All items were there and well packaged. I just know I am not the only sale Brownells made this week so 2 to 3 days to ship is not bad. Fedex did ok I bought the cheap shipping. Also I got $30.00 off with coupon. Can't beat that. I am very happy with the products and the service. I will buy from again. Thanks to Brownell's for my new relaoding equipment at a great price.

Easy site navigation, good prices with a dash of Twilight Zone

My first time ordering experience with Brownell’s worked out fine, but it was kind of weird. Here’s a timeline from placing my order to delivery:

Sunday
I placed an order
Combining lower price, a promo code and military discount I got a price about $50 less than the nearest competitor. Fantastic!
I quickly received an email confirming the order.

Monday
Order status shows shipped on Sunday. (untrue)
No email confirming shipping and no tracking number.

Tuesday
No change.

Tuesday evening
No change.
Credit card shows I was charged when I placed my order on Sunday but...
It also shows a charge reversal from Brownell’s today – Why?

Tuesday very late in the evening
Received a Brownell’s email with an invoice dated today showing paid in full.
Brownell’s order status says shipped. (untrue)
Still no shipping confirmation email.

Wednesday morning
Received a Brownell's email with a USPS tracking number.
Package is awaiting carrier pickup and has an estimated delivery day of Saturday.
Bank still shows original charge and charge reversal.

Wednesday afternoon
USPS still hasn’t picked up the package.
USPS no longer has a delivery date estimate.
Bank still shows original charge and charge reversal.

Thursday
Checked with USPS and package is on the way.
Expected delivery is now Monday.
Checked my credit card and both the original charge and the reversal are gone
.
Friday
Package still in route.
Estimated delivery still Monday.
Original charge reappeared on credit card dated the day the order was placed.

Is this The Twilight Zone?

All is well and good

It bothers me a bit that Brownell's’ order status falsely claimed ‘shipped’ for three days.
It bothers me more that Brownell's apparently charged me, reversed the charge and then recharged(?) me.
Would I shop Brownell's again?
Being aware of erroneous shipping data the first few days and the weird charge, charge reversal and recharge thing, yes, if I found what I wanted and could again get such a good price.

Brownell's gets a five star rating because I found their site easy to navigate, they had what I wanted, every product eligible for a military discount shows that discounted price. (I don’t have to wait until checkout.) I got an excellent price and once my order actually shipped and their tracking data mirrored the USPS.
Brownell's gets a three star rating because of the false shipping data and the odd activity on my credit card.
I’m going with four stars simply because I’m willing to shop there again
