I rarely write reviews but decided to give a rating to broadband buyer because I was not only very pleased with the experience but also as they didn't request it! Persistent requests to review products is something that irritates me.

I purchased a Synology 923+ NAS with WD Red plus 2x 10TB HDD to replace my ageing DS212. The price was cheaper than anywhere else and the orders was well packed and received ahead of schedule. The NAS is now up and running and working well.

Others have commented about communication and whilst I agree that you don't receive a stream of emails advising status updates you can simply log into your broadbandbuyer account to see the order progress as and when required. That was fine for me.

Overall more than pleased by the experience and will certainly use them again.

Next day delivery, wow. Easy to use website, item in stock and whole ordering process so easy.

I recently had a disappointing experience with Broadband Buyer, a company I had hoped would be reliable for purchasing expensive networking equipment. The product arrived in packaging that was far from adequate, with just a thin plastic bag around the item, exposing it to potential damage during transit. When I found the need to return the product, the process was unnecessarily complicated, requiring me to take photos of the item before I could even initiate the return.

Moreover, I encountered issues with their refund policy. Despite their policy page clearly stating that initial postage costs would be refunded, they refused to return these charges when I asked. This felt not only misleading but also unethical, suggesting a deliberate attempt to obfuscate and complicate the refund process.

Based on this experience, I find it hard to recommend Broadband Buyer. The lack of proper packaging, the cumbersome returns process, and the misleading refund policy have all contributed to a frustrating experience. I will not be using their services again and advise others to consider these points when deciding whether to shop with them.

Used over several years building up a ubiquiti network. Always gave great advice over the phone and made sure had correct items to fulfil requirements. Coming configured to the network saved time. Unifi help desk always great

Mixed opinions here but I decided to go for 12TB WD plus NAS disk (£30 cheaper then ebuyer) Got it next day, securely packed and all email info I needed. Overall very happy with purchase and service.

Ordered cables, was expecting some kind of email confirmation of despatch. On expected day of delivery (3 day DPD) I phoned customer services who told me one of the cables was not in stock (It was when I ordered them) and do I want the rest of the delivery sending. I asked for the rest of the order to be sent next day as I needed the cables for a project. Package arrived next day with over half of the cables missing. After calling customer services again, I was told the others that were in stock on the first call, were now not and they meant to call me. I just asked for a refund of the missing cables and will not be using them again.
I'm still waiting on my refund.
When you buy stuff in stock on their site, I don't believe it updates the stock electronically allowing them to oversell stock they don't hold and somebody looses out. This has effected the delivery of a project and have added days of labour for Engineers to return at a later date to add cables we should have already had!

We've spent a lot of money with broadband buyer over the years, till recently. they lost a AP with one of their couriers. we are currently over 45 days after supposed delivery and investigation and still no refund.

Time to look for another supplier that looks after its repeated custom.

Awful service.
I purchased a UniFi access point in September last year, it was preconfigured by them. Did not open the box and use till we had our own cloud key installed in January this year. Item needed resetting but no reset button present. Send back to get repaired to be told they wouldn’t as I had mishandled the item. So I’m stuck with an AP that doesn’t work. I did not mishandle the device it was safely on a shelf till I tried to use it. Support would not listen and sent device back. This has caused me to shop around a I am ow using another provider to source our Unfi products (that’s also cheaper pricing!)

Like many others are reporting it's the fulfilment of orders that lets them down big time. Placed an order and paid next day delivery for items in stock then only to be emailed by them that it has to be delivered from their warehouse first and therefore expect extra 3 day lead time. Asked them to at least offer a voucher on next order for inconvenience but that was promptly declined. I'll have to look elsewhere for a supplier with more reliable track record.

Yet again, placed an order for items in stock. Money taken from business account. Then, when the items did not arrive next day as promised, checked the website, "waiting stock allocation". Seems they take your money for items NOT in stock. Trying to run a business here, but broadband buyer at not reliable.

I wanted to (diy) fit cat 6 cable and a gigabit box in my house, with some access points. Ali, who helped me, was a pleasure to deal with. Very helpful, and quick to respond, offering impartial advice as to what I needed. Would definitely recommend

I phoned early yesterday to confirm the spec for an urgent hard drive and then asked the sales guy to confirm they did next day delivery. He said yes but there was a slight doubt in his tone. I ordered and paid the additional charge for next day DPD delivery. Today I stayed in all morning and after no DPD email I phoned early afternoon to discover .... "sorry it is still in the warehouse". The bottom line - if you want quality fast service use Amazon.

Made an order and decided would like to cancel it. I was able to cancel via the website (no need to faff around contacting customer services). Received a refund within two days.

Only failing is I didn't get a confirmation email of the cancellation/refund.

I wanted to leave a positive review as I checked here before ordering and saw quite a few negative reviews.

I really do not normally write reviews, but I am going to for this company .

Purchased 3 TP Link point to point which I was dreading to set up as it requires IP address changes etc…however, when the box arrived there were documents stating the 3 devices had been configured.

Then it was a simple plug and play product.

Some mixed reviews here it seems but I've ordered twice, buying 2 Synology NAS units over the past 4 years (main and more recently a back-up unit). Jon Packham is the sales person I have dealt and whilst his knowledge far exceeds mine, he has been helpful, re-assuring and helped simplify the choices for me, and guide me to a best-value-solution for my needs. He's been helpful over email since the item arrived as well allowing me to get some expert advice on set-up which can be somewhat daunting for a non-IT-expert.

So all in all - cannot give anything other than 5*.

The NAS I bought (DS223) arrived within a week, well packaged and has gone through set-up with no issues whatsoever.

I telephoned BroadbandBuyer to check if they definitely had my item in stock and was assured that they had. On placing my order online Broadband Buyers system also stated that the item was in stock.

I placed an order on 1/10/23 with a 5 day delivery by DPD.

On checking the progress of my order 3 days later, it was apparent that the order "status" had not changed since the order was placed.

I emailed BroadbandBuyer and was informed by Sophie that my order would be delivered on 9/10/23.

On 9/10/23 the online status still had not changed and I emailed Broadband Buyer again only to be told that they DID NOT have ANY stock and were waiting for it to arrive.

It would seem from the majority of 1 star reviews on TrustPilot that it seems to be common for BroadbandBuyer to take customers money without delivering due to pretending to have items in stock when they haven't.

My time has been wasted by this company!

I've placed 2 orders with broadbandbuyer in the last 3 weeks. First one paid for NBD delivery - turned up 5 days late. Last week again paid for NBD the items are *still* not here, so I ordered from amazon and got the goods next day. Now broadbandbuyer won't refund my purchase until they get the goods back from their shonky courier who have lost the delivery. The loss of goods by their courier is really not my problem so to refuse my refund is unacceptable and probably illegal. Avoid them, and just use amazon.

We have spent many thousands of pounds with this company over many years. Delivery is usually quick and pricing is very competitive but the true claibre of a company is shown in how they deal with a situation when something goes wrong. In this respect they are truely awful to deal with: Arrogant, attempt to shirk responsibility and are generally really unhelpul to the point that having contacted them no less than fifteen times over the issue I am now having to pursue a chargeback for what should have been a simple DoA return simply because they cannot, or will not issue, a RMA! Absolutely shocking behaviour.

The tech advice and sales support was incredibly caring and impressive. Not only did he explain all the nuances of the networking switches I was looking at but he actually walked through my whole setup which helped immensely.

To top it off he convinced me into a much cheaper solution - I was almost fighting him to let me waste money on kit I didn't need!
