They have a fantastic wide selection of film photography equipment and film to buy and I always trust that my orders will arrive safely. Fast efficient service. Bristol Cameras also have very reasonable prices that are often lower than their competitors.

I’ve ordered various items from Bristol Cameras in the past and have always received the goods. As a large format film photographer I’ve always appreciated that they are one of very few retailers that stock a good supply of 4x5 sheet film.
The only issue I have is that it’s very difficult to track orders or to get in touch with anyone at the store.
I ordered a small item - just a darkroom thermometer - a week ago. I can see that the payment was taken, but I received no confirmation of the order. No dispatch notification has arrived, so I have no ideas what is happening.
I tried calling the store today on both numbers: the shop number and the mail order number, but no one picked up. I have been unable to find an email address to contact.
This happened once before when I ordered film, though the order did arrive eventually.
I do want to continue to order from Bristol Cameras because, overall my experience has been good, but I do feel that they need to improve on keeping customers informed about their orders and make themselves more easily contactable.

Always a pleasure dealing with Bristol Cameras. In the Highlands we often pay excessive delivery charges, but Bristol Cameras is alway very reasonable. Happy to recommend. :)

I ordered a few items from Peak Design through Bristol Cameras, whilst they had to order in one of the items, I found them to be great when I called for an update and also they then sent it to arrive next day which I appreciated.

I ordered a camera clip, which got lost by Royal Mail due to damaged packaging. I contacted Bristol Cameras and they offered to send me a replacement free of charge, which I received within a couple of days. I am looking forward to testing out my new camera clip soon!

I recently bought a Bronica S2, and after fixing the focusing issue due to 50 year old foam, was delighted to see Bristol Cameras has some 220 film, so I wanted to try it out. Their website is easy to use and the communication via email is great. This became my second purchase as I had ordered some Ilford fixer. I’ll be going back shortly for developer and stop bath. It’s great to know I can safely purchase the materials I need for film photography at a shop like this. Many thanks Bristol Cameras.

If you are going to charge £6.50 for postage & packaging, the least I would expect is for a next day shipping service to be used.

This item was sent via Royal Mail Tracked 48, this is a 2-3 day shipping service that costs £3.39. The padded envelope didn’t cost you £3.11.

Even for £4.25 you could have used Royal Mail Tracked 24, which is a next day shipping service. You’d still have made £2.25 profit on the shipping charged to the customer.

An established business shouldn’t be inflating shipping costs and then using the cheapest available shipping service to make a few extra pounds.

Arrived quickly and really well packed - also the best price I could find online so I will definitely use Bristol Cameras again

On Thursday I bought a Ricoh Teleconverter Lens which was in a promo for Bristol Cameras. By Saturday the lens was in my hands. It was packaged with care and delivered by Royal Mail, I am happy with my order.

I placed an order on this website on March 11, 2025. However, the confirmation email I received only included a delivery confirmation number, which cannot be used to track my order on the Royal Mail website. Additionally, Royal Mail didn’t send me an email to confirm that my parcel had been delivered. As a result, I had to call to inquire about my parcel’s status.

Unfortunately, the staff member I spoke to was very rude and impatient. Since English is not my first language, I tend to speak a bit slower, but instead of trying to understand my question, the staff member responded with an exasperated "Oh my god," which made me feel extremely disrespected. Although the product itself is good, this was still a very unpleasant shopping experience.
