My experience is reminiscent of the early 2000s and the spirit of bricks and clicks when retail shops were trying to sell things online.

Despite ordering items that were shown as in stock, my order remains partially fulfilled. There wasn't anything in the parcel to explain the delay and I don’t know when I will receive the rest of my order.

The portal on the website does have an order update though its unrelated to the fulfilment of my order, instead it asks me to leave a review on Trustpilot and share my experience.

The portal lacks the functionality to raise a query nor is there an email address to use. Instead, if customers have a query with their order they need to call the shop by phone. This isn't convenient for me as I am deaf, I tend to struggle on the phone, and the shop has limited opening hours.

Not the easiest site to navigate.
Certainly not obvious how to approve the terms and conditions.
Needs a tick box.
This Date Subroutine is a pain.
Ditch "Trustpilot".
It has been totally discredited.

Ordered a camera cover online very competitive price and item arrived quickly with good communicaiton from Bristol cameras.

Very rude on the phone.
I had a delivery which did not arrive and phoned Royal Mail to see what was happening. They said it was now a declared lost item and I should call Bristol cameras, inform them of this development and they would refund me and claim money back from Royal Mail.
The rude person at Bristol cameras argued against this.
However, I repeated what Royal Mail had said and I got a mumbled message about a refund and then he hung up.
Definitely won't be buying from these again.
This was the second rude person from Bristol cameras I've had to speak to this week.
If they don't like dealing the public, then they should look for another job.

I ordered an older battery that wasn't produced anymore. They sent me the new one, no extra charge. Very fast and reliable shipping.

I am pleased with the item bought.
I am also pleased with the speed of order processing and the information given while the order was processed.

Very fast turn around on my order, arrived on time and was as described. The Think Tank 25 bag is perfect for my smaller mirrorless camera and is much lighter than my older bag. Plenty of room for cards, batteries and other stuff.

Great company, bought the Kodak Ektar H35N for even cheaper than it was on Amazon! Would go back.

Having used other film processors in the past I found that Bristol Cameras was far better in quality and price. Good film stocks also.

Good stock selection; I often find film that is out-of-stock on other sites available for sale at Bristol Cameras. An order was delayed recently; they emailed me about it and were polite & helpful over the phone.

I would kindly suggest they consider an email contact address though :)

Great experience. Bought a camera that I was struggling to find in stock elsewhere last minute for my sister’s abroad wedding. Found it here for a great price but was worried it wouldn’t come in time so phoned the shop. It arrived the following day. 5 star service.

Very competitive pricing, even after taking into account shipping costs.
It's handy to see stock levels on their website; which appear to be volatile, suggesting a high turnover. This may explain the occasional issues reported in some of the reviews on here.
Despatch occured within 24 hours of purchase and delivery was the following day. My goods were well packaged.
An improvement to their service would be to provide a PDF VAT receipt by email or within the 'orders' section of 'my account'.
Also, the shipping costs do not have a VAT breakdown, which is odd for a service provided by VAT registered company.
Not an issue for me for this order but I can see that the lack of a means to contact the company, other than by telephone to a busy/not answered line could be a frustration.

Good service. I received my order on time. Extremely good and supportive customer service.

UPDATE 4 July: Order dispatched on 27 June, and safely received, so I've increased score from 1 to 2. I won't raise it further due to the time taken to dispatch the order, lack of updates, and inability to get in touch.

ORIGINAL 26 June: Placed an order for a camera bag on 19 June (7 days ago) which was listed as being in stock. No updates since and the order status states "Order REDACTED was placed on 19th June 2025 and is currently Acknowledged". The bag is still listed on their site as being in stock. I've tried calling a few times but nobody answers. There is no contact email address I can find. I'm starting to worry. Even if I shouldn't worry, this is terrible service.

Storefront has massive options of gear, film and photo chemicals. Ordered developer and rinse aid with few films, received in 2 days. And all items very well packaged also. Stellar.
