Truly pathetic product and their customer service is the same. i purchased the unlimited license and have since replaced a failed HDD and can no longer use the software because it is deemed to be a new computer. let me educate you AVS4YOU, replacing a failed hard drive is not replacing a computer. it is the same computer that has been repaired. Lifetime Software license means nothing people. It is a bunch of false information masked to sound appealing
and to the person from AVS4You who is going to send a scripted response !! don't bother. Your response will be as garbage as your product and service

Great product, but very bad and misleading "Lifetime License". Unlike other software companies that offer lifetime licenses, meaning you can install the product on 1 PC at a time, so when you get a new PC, you deregister the license and put the software on the new PC, AVS allows the lifetime licensed product to be installed on ONLY one computer, period. They should rename their Lifetime License to "Lifetime of the PC license". If you buy a new PC, you cannot reinstall the software and expect the "lifetime" license to be valid. It isn't. It is lifetime of the PC only.

Nach 11 Jahren habe ich mir den aktuellen Video- und Audioeditor wieder heruntergeladen. AVS4YOU hat den 'unlimitierten' Lizenschlüssel von damals problemlos akzeptiert. :-)

I took out a lifetime subscription to the entire package nearly twenty years ago which is updated regularly.

AVS4YOU is the only software company that I know of that honours it's commitment to lifetime updates without further charges.

All the other 'lifetime subscriptions' introduce a 'new version' of their software from time to time for which they charge claiming that it is not covered by the subscription to the old version. I consider this to be a fraud which devalues the reputations of those companies.

I give AVS4YOU five stars plus.

I’ve had mixed feelings about AVS4YOU. The software is generally good to work with, though a bit slow at times. However, the "Unlimited Subscription" is misleading. If you change or lose your computer, you're required to purchase another license, which doesn't feel very "unlimited." Customer service also leaves much to be desired, as they don’t seem to address concerns properly. It's a decent product, but the licensing terms and support could be much better.

This package gives me all I could possibly want. Lifetime license at a very good price.

I I have been using this program for several years, I have purchased three licenses. To make videos of less than 2 minutes, it is very useful, however if you want to work on large files of 15 minutes or more with several tracks, I do not recommend it.

Avs4you effects

I bought AVS4YOU in 2009, with an unlimited license for 1 PC, which I understood to be for 1 PC at a time i.e. upgrade your PC, delete from old PC, install on new PC. I did this in 2012 without issue, using AVS4YOU intermittently since (I've never been a big user, only occasional and decreasing over the years).
Recently, (on the PC that has had AVS4YOU running without issue since 2012 after upgrading from PC installed in 2009) I ripped a CD using the wrong settings. Rather than redo it I thought I'd just fire up AVS4YOU and convert the files. Taken aback at the license message denying me use, I reinstalled and input my original key. Still denied, I messaged AVS4YOU and got the same nonsense about 1 PC and it has always been that way.
They have CHANGED the way that those words are interpreted, to rip off people who in good faith gave them extra money for an unlimited license.
I will not be paying again as I no longer trust the people behind what I had thought of as old fashioned looking but quite good software. I would not recommend purchase of AVS4YOU to anyone except those I consider life-long enemies. Having changed this interpretation (and implementation - as I say this license interpretation didn't happen in 2012), what else could they do? Install some sort of malicious threat when I would previously have been inclined to tell my security software that I trust AVS4YOU?
No longer for me. I will look for something else.
UPDATE: Following AVS4YOU response to this review - I do not suggest the wording has changed, their interpretation has changed from 1 PC/1 user to 1 main board. Otherwise, why so many negative reviews? Changed my review from 2 stars to 1 star.

Même problème que JPh Buchet! On achète une licence illimitée et si on change de PC en ayant désinstallé les logiciels de l'ancien il faut racheter une licence! Même Microsoft est moins tatillon! A fuir

Suite à votre réponse : Bonjour, je vous remercie de votre réponse que j'ai étudié avec attention. J'ai acheté les logiciels en illimité en 2011 à l'époque j'ai accepté l'accord de licence qui prévoyait la possibilité de ré-installer trois fois sur un nouveau PC si on désinstallait de l'ancien bien entendu ce qui est mon cas. Depuis vous avez modifié votre contrat de licence ce qui est votre droit mais pour moi les conditions de 2025 s'appliquent aux acheteurs de 2025 et non ceux de 2011.
